Mate you basically described my life!! I got everyone around me into it as well, and we were just in solid LBD hype for more than a year. It was just so freaking perfect, the modern adaptations of the plot and relationships were utterly perfect.

And ooooooohh my god the CAST don't even get me started on the cast, like 2 years later my brain still doesn't compute how freaking perfect the cast was. And I just love and respect so much what they did with Lydia and how they altered her ending

Tuesdays and Fridays man. They were the only says that mattered. Omg I miss it so much

Yessss that’s a thing that continued to blow me away! How well it was adapted into modern times! Because I loved speculating with everyone how it was going to turn out! (proposal scene, charlotte leaving, McDouchebag the Great, even Pemberley visit) and the way they executed everything - it was flawless i never had any complaints and it was always so creative! And I appreciated ALL the work that went into the transmedia aspect of it - the twitters, pinterest, darcy’s company website IT WAS AWESOME and certainly worthy of the emmy it got

And OH MAN the cast?! How did they find the most perfect cast ever I am still also in awe of that (also how similar the siblings look like Gigi and Darcy that was awesome). And especially Lydia, MK did the most amazing job and I love what they did with her character - How believable is she now! It’s heartbreaking watching her try to be someone Lizzie loves and wants to be around, and for Lizzie to shrug her off not noticing how much Lydia loves her - heart.breaking. ANd I am so glad they gave her a different ending gOD

It makes me so happy hearing all the similar experiences :’) i miss that community

Oh my god LBD was my LIFE in year 10. I discovered it when it got to episode 4 and my life was forever changed. I’m getting so much nostalgia right now

SAAAAAME - like most of year 10 into year 11. Like sure i’m a consumer of media - i get into fandoms, but there are ones that you’re in because that’s what’s the flavour of the month at the time and there are ones that consume your soul, and fill your waking moments, and define that period of existence in your life, and feel like they belong to you AND LBD IS ONE OF THOSE FOR ME. I was stalking the twitters, and who’s following who, LOVING THE SISTERS’ RELATIONSHIP and watching and rewatching eps.

I’ve always felt like that as much as i adore the 1995 and even 2005 adaptations of P&P, that LBD is my adaptation. It’s the one that was on at the right time (tho that could’ve been anytime) it was probably geared towards my demographic, it just felt like i owned a part of it (as i’m sure people felt like when the other adaptations came out for them)
