With a million lies the truth will rise to tear you apart
Regardless of how many times they went over the case's notes, something was clearly missing. There just wasn't enough evidence to decide who was rightfully guilty. Normally Satan was a hard demon to upset but this was starting to piss them off.
Giving the stack of papers a shove, they fly off the desk in a frenzy, scattering about the room. Satan rises from their seat and starts to pace, leaving burned impressions of their boots on the floor. Luckily, the small flickers of flame burned out quickly, saving the nearby pieces of paper from incinerating altogether.
Eventually, they managed to settle down enough that they weren't causing nearby objects to combust by being in close proximity to the Sin. They moved to collect the papers and go over them once more, desperate to see if there was perhaps something they had missed, even though they had combed through these papers more than a hundred times. Satan didn't want to make the mistake of finding the wrong person guilty and tarnish not only their own reputation but the other party's as well.
Desperate times called for desperate measures... And while they weren't entirely fond of what they were about to do, what other choice did they have at this moment? Heaving a sigh, Satan carefully places the papers back on their desk and pulls out their cellphone, quickly dialing a familiar number.
As soon as she picked up, Satan greeted her with a simple hello, before getting straight to the point, "Miss Vine, could I ask for your assistance? I'm runnin' into a bit of an issue that only you could help with."
