do you have any conflicting feelings about the kiss and what it means for them?
I have some conflicting feelings about what Robin says to her right before the kiss and how she might feel about that once she’s a bit more clear-headed. Yes, perhaps he’s choosing her. But he prefaced the action of that choice with telling her that his entire life he’s tried to be good and honorable, and today he’s not doing that any more. Which means that kissing her, being with her, is not good, or honorable, or righteous. And that’s… not great for the ego, dude.
I don’t know that Regina will like that he had to give up his honor to be with her - that he had to stop being a righteous man to choose her. It’s like she’s dragging him down into the dirt where she lives, and she won’t want that. She wants to crawl up, not pull down. So I don’t think she’ll love that. I think if he’d come to the realization that there was more to honor that upholding his vows - that loving her while being with Marian, even if he never broke his vows, wouldn’t be honorable to anyone involve - it would be different. But it doesn’t seem like he came to that conclusion, it just seems like he decided that being without his honor was less of a painful prospect that being without Regina. And I think that could lead to some bumps for them.
That said, I do think he’s chosen her. Whether or not he could have done a better job of it.
