‘’The prince is melting,’’ Bel complains as they walk the busy streets of Namimori, sweaty hands latched together. The prince tugs his hand out of Yamamoto’s grasp and wipes it on his pants.
‘’Wanna go swimming?’’ Yamamoto suggests, shoving his hands into his pockets. He wasn’t one to complain about the weather but it was particularly hot that day.
Bel thinks about the suggestion for a brief moment before shaking his head. ‘’The prince wants ice cream.’’
‘’Ice cream, huh?’’ Yamamoto mutters.
‘’There’s a place down the street. The girls told the prince about it a while ago,’’ Bel adds. He tugs on the fabric of his striped t-shirt in an attempt to cool himself, but the air is hot and unmoving. ‘’I want to go there.’’
‘’Well, sure, we can go,’’ Yamamoto says, ‘’it might be pretty crowded on a day like this, though. You okay with that?’’
Bel’s mouth twists in a way that Yamamoto recognizes as displeasure, but the teen claims to be willing to deal with other people for the price of ice cream. Yamamoto has his doubts but keeps quiet about them.
It doesn’t take longer than five minutes for them to reach the light pink ice cream parlor. Even from outside, Yamamoto can tell the place is crowded and he sends a worried glance to Bel’s way who seems determined to get his ice cream from this specific place.
Yamamoto opens the door for them and hopes they will be able to visit the place again.
The temperature change makes Yamamoto shiver slightly, but he welcomes the chilly air with open arms. Even Bel seems to perk up after getting out of the scorching summer air and walking into the embrace of air conditioning.
They are fifth on the line but instead of complaining about this, Bel’s eyes are focused on the menu above them, unable to choose what he will have.
‘’What will you have?’’ Bel asks.
‘’Probably the vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce,’’ Yamamoto says, ‘’What about you?’’
Bel sighs and crosses his arms. ‘’The prince wants the strawberry ice cream with cream and strawberries but the double chocolate looks good too.’’
‘’Why not get both?’’
Bel ponders the suggestion for a while, rubbing his chin as if he was making a decision more important than which ice cream he wants. ‘’Maybe I will,’’ he finally says with a nod.
The line moves forward and as they were about to follow, a man in a suit skips the line and takes the second spot as if he had always been there.
Bel’s face hardens momentarily before he looks at Yamamoto. He nudges his head towards the man with a sinister grin on his lips. ‘’Do you want me to kill that guy for you? The prince is more than willing to do so.’’
Yamamoto wraps his arm around Bel’s shoulders, not to show affection but to hold back the assassin if he decided to gut the man in the middle of the ice cream parlor. ‘’It’s okay, Bel. He only cut the line, not a big deal.’’
Bel scoffs in disagreement but drops the topic much to Yamamoto’s surprise. The spoiled prince wasn’t exactly known for his ability to not let his pettiness get the best of him.
‘’You’re surprisingly cool about this,’’ Yamamoto can’t help but comment, rubbing circles against Bel’s shoulder with his thumb.
The assassin merely shrugs. ‘’A peasant like him is not worth ruining our date for.’’
A smile sneaks up on Yamamoto’s lips and he feels like kissing Bel right there, in front of the entire ice cream parlor. Sometimes his boyfriend could be thoughtful and charming, in his own way.
‘’Plus, the prince can always track him down later and kill him then,’’ Bel adds with a promising smile.
I had a question! I bought the DVD Reborn vs Varia part I, not yet received. I wanted to know if you had links for possible English subtitles that could be installed to put it on the dvd? (I don't know if it's possible 😂 sorry for my english, i'm french 😭)
I haven't heard of anyone working on subtitles for Part 1, unfortunately. Does anyone know if someone's working on it? Let us know via reply/reblog/ask!

Because he ran away from home at a young age, there aren’t a lot of pics of Bel when he is a toddle or baby. There are, however, a ton of pics of him as a child and preteen as Lussuria loved to snap pictures of the little prince for memories. This being said, Lussuria has some of the most embarrassing pictures of Bel, including ones where he has lost all four of his front baby teeth and from when he had braces. Fran is absolutely thrilled when he finds these pictures and never lets Bel live it down.
Bel and Fran constantly communicate through memes and funny reaction pics in the Varia group chat and this confuses Xanxus and Squalo who have no idea what the two youngest of the group are saying and how the dumb pictures can be considered as proper communication.
One time they went to a fair and caused havoc because they used their skills to win all the best prices in every stand and game. The only game they couldn’t defeat was the claw machine which unfortunately got destroyed by Xanxus because he claimed it was ‘full of shit’. Levi was assigned as their official prize carries and he was more than happy to oblige. Bel went all out at the food stands and ended up getting a really bad stomach ache from eating too much too fast.
As a kid, Bel went through a phase where he would just bite everyone who dared to disagree with him or tell him no. Back then he was no match for the rest of the Varia members so he couldn’t physically attack them without getting his ass handed back by them, so he resorted to biting. Squalo would try to drag him away from Mc Donalds? He bites. Levi annoys him? He bites. Luckily for Varia, he grows out of it pretty quickly.
Whenever any of the Varia members proceed to annoy or inconvenience the main Vongola family, Xanxus is having the time of his life. He doesn’t openly show it but whenever his guardians do something to cause chaos or disturb others, Xanxus would try to hide his smile behind a glass of whiskey and pretend he doesn’t find them hilarious.

‘’The prince demands chicken nuggets! And a happy meal!’’
‘’We’re not getting fucking chicken nuggets, shitty prince!’’ Squalo yelled back at Bel, who had had too much sugar after a mission and was now throwing a tantrum after coming down from the sugar high.
Xanxus rubbed his temples in frustration - it was bad enough that Squalo had to scream like a chimpanzee all the time but now the brat was whining as well, his nasal voice few pitches higher than usually. At this rate, he will need a migraine medication for the headaches caused by his subordinates.
Before Xanxus could realize what was happening, Bel launched himself towards Squalo and bit him in the forearm like a wild animal with rabies.
‘’Ow, you fucking twat,’’ Squalo cursed and slammed his fist against the prince’s head hard enough for the kid to let him go. He retreated a few cautious steps and rubbed the spot where Bel had sunk his teeth. ‘’Keep behaving like this and I’ll tell Lussuria not to set the table for you.’’
Xanxus expected the young storm to go for another attack but instead, he flopped sideways on the stairs, blocking everyone’s path as he banged his fists against the wooden surface and demanded chicken nuggets.
‘’Idiots,’’ Xanxus muttered under his breath, barely loud enough for the two guardians to hear him, ‘’I’m surrounded by idiots.’’
Bel stopped his tantrum to look at his boss in the eyes and without a second thought he said; ‘’You’re the one who hired us, though. What does that say about you?’’
I know I had to ask the question, but I need more and more cute moments with Varia haha. 💕

Occasionally, they would hold game nights together, but in Varia even those come with a twist - they are expected to not play fair. What makes things even more interesting (and violent) is the fact that all of them are sore losers. If they really want to go overboard, they would play for money to get Mammon as fired up as the rest of them.
Prank wars are a thing in Varia, especially for Bel and Fran. The rest don’t do pranks as much, but when they do, it’s to get back on the two baby officers. Sometimes they would gang up on one member, but most of the time they do solo pranks.
Back in the day when Varia had just been formed, they would hold study sessions together - majority of them were still on their teens and Bel was still a kid, so Nono insisted for them to be educated or continue their studies. Surprisingly though, Levi was a big help for them most of the time and the study sessions became easier as soon as Bel reached their education level, which didn’t take the genius prince too long.
Fran is in his early/mid teens when he joins Varia and only knows French and Japanese, which really isn’t that troubling since the rest of Varia know seven or more languages each. However, they did have to help him learn Italian, which was proven to be quite difficult, since he still had a pretty strong French accent when he first joined them - though he did get rid of it quite quickly.
Hello ! I have a request please! Varia against Vongola at a Karaoke! Who has the best voice? Who is the worst? I want to know everything. (p.s: I love your headcanons :3)

From Vongola, the best singers would be Hibari, Mukuro and Ryohei. However, to get Hibari to participate to a karaoke event is nearly impossible - especially with such a huge crowd. Unless they make it into a competition, Hibari won’t participate. None of Vongola is necessarily a bad singer as long as they are singing songs that are fit for their voices.
In Varia’s case, the best singers are definitely Bel and Lussuria - Bel is a shower singer and has surprisingly good voice whereas Lussuria can be heard humming if not singing whenever he is doing chores. Xanxus is the worst singer, not because he has a bad voice but because he is tone deaf and doesn’t follow melody at all.
Chrome always attends to Vongola events whereas Mukuro rarely does, but karaoke is an exception since Mukuro is certain that he was a Broadway legend in one of his previous lives. He usually insists Chrome to sing with him and do silly choreography with him.
Not only is Bel a good singer but he also seems to know Every Single Song and when the prince wants to sing, he will snatch the microphone and do so.
Being the youngest out of the two groups, Lambo’s music taste is very different from the rest which leads to him having to sing popular hit songs on his own because the others aren’t familiar with them. Sometimes he would pick popular Italian songs to get someone to sing with him.
Squalo, Xanxus, Levi, Ryohei and Gokudera tend to end up yelling instead of singing especially if the song is from a rock genre - or in Ryohei’s case a song that gets him extremely pumped up. Everyone’s ears are ringing after they are done with their songs.
Yamamoto is king of ballads and his choice of songs are usually acoustic and slow with sweet, even emotional lyrics. Depending on the amount of alcohol being consumed, some people might even be moved from his singing.
Tsuna doesn’t like karaoke too much for he usually messes up with the lyrics and gets nervous to sing in front of everyone else. He refuses to sing solos, but will gladly sing with others. Gokudera is, of course, cheering for his Boss as if he is in a concert.
Gokudera, Belphegor, Mukuro and Fran have the most similar music taste, which lead to them competing against each other and choosing mostly My Chemical Romance and belting out their songs.
Mammon arranges bets between Vongola and Varia for who sings certain songs better - it’s a real money maker because each family will bet for their own team.
Okay then imagine, something that would be rare or happen once, Bel who returns from mission and starts to cry in front of the Varia. What would their reactions be ? Who ? What ? When ? How ? Why ? (I must be too much in the drama right now. 😂 thank you for your work. 💕 Headcanons or text as you wish please)

From the very beginning, Bel has never been one to cry when he has audience - he doesn’t want other people to see him be at his weakest point, no matter how much he trusts them. That being said, there also isn’t a lot of things that bring him to tears.
One of the very few times that Varia sees Bel cry is when he is a lot younger, still new in Varia but has been with them long enough for him to develop a sense of trust in them.
Bel always has high expectations for himself and doesn’t take failure or mistakes well. He takes great pride in what he does and how he excels at his job. Less than perfect just doesn’t cut it for the little royalty.
The impossible happens after one mission which had been draining, rough and difficult, pushing Bel to his absolute limits. He had been both mentally and physically exhausted because of the job, his body aching and screaming for rest, which he had ignored. This neglect lead to him slip up at work, make a mistake which almost ruined the mission and cost him his life. He would be extremely disappointed in himself and angry for letting a mistake happen, upset for not living up to the expectations he put for himself and what others had for him as well.
When he let that frustration and disappointment out, Varia hadn’t been there to witness it, they happened to stumble upon the storm guardian and his outburst on accident. The sight of the tear stained cheeks along with Bel’s embarrassed and slightly shocked expression would leave them all wordless, unsure what they should do or say in the situation, which only makes Bel even more embarrassed and weak. He will most likely isolate himself in his room until he has built up his pride again and the situation won’t be spoken about again.

Bel loosened the tie around his neck as soon as he and Yamamoto reached their shared hotel room - the prince had waited for hours for the annual Vongola styled New Years party to end so he could loosen his formal attire and kick back to actually have an enjoyable night with his boyfriend.
‘’That party was such a drag.’’ He complained while kicking his shoes off. Yamamoto’s laugh was easy and melodic behind him and Bel couldn’t help but to turn to look at him with a hint of fondness in his eyes.
To be honest, he would’ve been more than glad to skip the entire party and deal with the consequences and endless nagging from Squalo afterwards, but Yamamoto had managed to bribe him to come with him to the party. Bel hated to admit it - and he never would admit it, not to himself nor to anyone else - but Yamamoto had bewitched him to bend to his will if and when he wanted to. Though, Bel had claimed that he had agreed to come just to get Squalo off his back.
Yamamoto wrapped an arm around him easily, planting a chaste kiss on his temple. ‘’Oh, come on,’’ he said with a soft smile, ‘’it wasn’t that bad.’’
And he was right, it hadn’t been all that bad and Bel hadn’t hated every second they had spent in the chaotic Vongola and Varia get together. Not that he was going to tell Yamamoto that, though.
‘’The prince prefers this over the party.’’ Bel stated and turned to properly face his boyfriend, snaking his arms around his torso loosely. Yes, this wins every single party out there, Bel was sure of it.
Yamamoto let his arms rest over Bel’s shoulders and from the look of his eyes, he was going to say something sappy. If there was one thing Bel had learned throughout the handful of years of dating Yamamoto Takeshi, it was the ability to predict his intentions through his eyes.
‘’Thank you for coming with me and actually behaving this time.’’ Yamamoto said, ‘’I appreciate it.’’
‘’The prince behaves all the time.’’
Yamamoto raised an eyebrow, giving his boyfriend a pointed look.
‘’Alright, the prince behaves most of the time.’’
Still a bit of an overstatement, but Yamamoto wasn’t going to argue with Bel about it. He had been on his best behavior that night, after all.
‘’The prince believes you have something you forgot to give him.’’ Bel suddenly said, rubbing the small of his back gently with his thumbs.
Yamamoto cocked his head to the head slightly with a small smile on his lips. ‘’And what would that be?’’
‘’Well,’’ Bel started, ‘’it’s New Years. Aren’t you going to kiss me?’’
They were already few hours into the next year, but that didn’t stop Yamamoto from taking Bel’s face to his hands and pressing a loving kiss on his lips.
