Some photo's I've done lately. Of the teater, show & cabaret group Queentastic. The layout for the poster is by Marius Lunde, all photo's by me.
TAG: Holly Jolly (2nd edition)
Here I am again, with a tag from Youtube brought to Tumblr by me (or someone else, I just haven't seen it yet). It was originally created by beautybaby44 and strawberryelectric48, so check their videos! :)
I thought the questions were really fun and as the holidays are two days away (how crazy is that?!) I believe it's appropriate for me and for others to answer these questions. I will tag some people at the end of the post but feel free to do it if I haven't tagged you :) Let's begin!
Do you start your Christmas shopping on Black Friday or wait until the last minute?
We don't have a Black Friday here where I live (but we have something similar) but no. I'm the worst procrastinator. I leave everything for the last minute. I may buy something if I know what I need for the gifts but I start preparing, wrapping and everything the evening before. It's bad.
If you could be in any Christmas movie what would it be?
Anything. I would love to play one of the elves in 'Elf' or something. I would also love to play someone in Home Alone. Is it weird that I've only seen like 3 Christmas movies? I should probably change that.
Which do you like better: Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
As many people have said in their videos - Christmas Eve. The anticipation and the waiting of the magical day is both exciting and terrifying, just because I know how days fly by and after Christmas the magical day will come back only a year after.
When does your family put up your Christmas tree and who decorates it?
My mom usually puts up our Christmas Tree day before Christmas Eve. She always decorates it as it's our tradition. I have my own tree in my room and I put it up whenever I feel like it. This year I put up mine in the beggining of December.
White lights or colored lights?
For Christmas - colored. Last year I put up my white lights in my room and haven't moved them since. I light them as I watch a movie or a tv show for coziness, even in the summer. Therefore, white lights just doesn't scream Christmas as colored does. Also, it's way more fun.
Are you guilty of peeking at your presents or do you like the surprise?
Actually, me, my friends or my parents don't do the whole putting presents under the tree thing. This year we exchanged yesterday at school with my friends and my boyfriend and I immediatelly unwrapped them all so I could use them right away. I only exchange gifts on Christmas Eve with my best friend and we actually put them under our trees and then wake up really early so we could see what we got! My parents usually buy me something big (phone this year) and it counts as a Christmas and birthday present (my birthday is January 2nd). I'm too impatient.
Would you rather live in a gingerbread house or in Santa's Workshop?
I would love to be in both of those. I think I would make an adorable little gingerbread girl in the gingerbread house as well as an elf in Santa's workshop!
Tell us your Christmas Eve traditions!
There's really nothing exciting. I wake up as always on holidays - around 12 :D My dad is usually making our meals and my mom is out grocery shopping or at home cleaning and decorating. We put the meals on the table in the living room with brought out fancy tablecloth, plates and cutlery. We eat together as a family and watch TV or something. We're really casual, you know. Also, Christmas Eve marks me and my boyfriend's monthsarry and it's also my name-day.
If you could be under the mistletoe with anyone who would it be?
My boyfriend. Is it weird that as long as we've been together (it will be a year and 5 months on December 24th) I don't think any other boy (celebrity and real life friends) are cute?
What tops your tree?
A golden tree topper with silver glitter.
Can you name the 12 days of Christmas?
I've never even heard the full song or knew that there were 12 days of Christmas. It's probably an American thing, right?
Have you ever gone Christmas caroling?
We don't actually do that in here. Also an abroad thing.
Do you countdown to Christmas? If so, how many days are left?
I actually have an app on my phone but it's not that hard to count it myself. It's 2 days until Christmas Day.
What are some foods and treats you can count on having every holiday season?
Ham and white salad (probably our country's thing). I always eat a lot of that! And any other salads, juices, also these thingies that don't have a name in English that we eat on Christmas Eve and jelly made with potato flour (translator was used. Also doesn't have a name in English but has in my language). As I see, we have a lot of things that other countries doesn't.
How has Christmas kept its magic for you as you've grown older?
Christmas will always be a magical time for me. I used to get amazing presents from my grandma (she's in rehab, neuro department at the moment and will be through the holidays and for a few days in 2013). It will be my second holidays without her around and it's tough since everything I've gotten used to through the years were with her at her place with her amazing meals. But I'm getting used to that fact and celebrating Christmas just with my mom and dad :)
That's it, folks! It would be very interesting to know your country traditions since we all live in different parts of the world.

10. What I would name a daughter.
I really really REALLY want to name my daughter Ariana. It's the perfect name for me. I don't know why.
Thanks for the question, Julia :)
Building up a base for Queentastic
Monday, November 26
The royalty has risen to the new bright days which are to come. You'll be led by The Queen to face them. Okay so I'm back on blogging, now, calm your ovaries, you guys. No apologies or excuses will be included here cause well, it just happens sometimes. You can go on with quite an often updates, sometimes even daily ones, but you can never last long like this. Or at least I can't. And I look up to those who manage to do that, to keep up the regular posting. But since it's all about the quality for me, I don't really worry about the quantity. I will always take my time to write, to take pictures, to edit and to work on my ideas thoroughly - starting from a sketch book and ending it up on my blog.
Well, enough now with a big talk, I'm gonna go straight to things you'll be expecting from a new fresh queentastic. Some things Holidays-related have been whirling in my head these past few days and I'll be sticking to that for now. Besides all those beauty/fashion/newbies posts, I'll be sharing some of my Christmas-y ideas. I kinda want my blog to become this DIY/ideas based kind of blog. Speaking of all directions here - DIYs, recipes, crafts, tips, advices, tutorials.. all that kind of stuff. Does anyone agree? I just think it will be so much more for me to run this exact kind of blog as for you all to read it!
As I said, my priority #1 right now is everything Holidays/Christmas related, that's what I'm actually working on. But I'm not quitting all the other things, like outfit posts, new in's, my photography (which I think I'll be randomly posting from time to time). So yeah, I'm just building some kind of foundation for queentastic. Hope you get my ideas and thoughts! Yours are absolutely welcome too, reply on this post, or message me if you got something :)
