Today was very difficult...
But my sister took care of me. We sat and painted together. I cried, she spoke softly, and we painted. I focussed on getting work done on this coffee table we got for $5.00 at a secondhand shop. It was cathartic. I’ll put the lid back on and post another pic when I am fully finished:
EVN my friend; favourite Queer Indigenous writer; my inspiration 🖤❤️💛 they really came through for me this weekend as a speaker on the Queer Panel I organised. Was solid.

Monstrous Women
@alwayswasalwayswillbeourland I’ve been working away on this series for a while now. Interested in depictions of women who are deemed monsters. Lots to draw on from local Aboriginal lore as well as stories and mythology from around the world.
This is a self-portrait. A lot of the time I’ve felt grotesque and ugly. I’ve felt monstrous and unnatural. With this, I leaned into my ugliness.
