Me when I realize our human rights and "whether we deserve to live or not" are now a matter of POLITICS (and not...YOU KNOW???? COMMON HUMAN DECENCY????????????), political debate, and "hot, controversial" content idea for politicians and religious figures to get views and clicks.

Please, please, don't listen to them. They don't care about us, they only talk about us because they want clicks. They want likes. They want angry comments. They are using YOUR IDENTITY and YOUR STRUGGLES and YOUR DISCRIMINATION as a "debate" and "content" topic. They are using YOUR identity as a topic about "sin" because it gives them attention, it gives them rage, it gives them clout.

The fact that I don't want myself dead is a "political argument" is crazy. The fact that I don't want MY QUEER AND LGBTQ FRIENDS DEAD IS A "POLITICAL ARGUMENT" IS INSANE.*

*Not saying that you shouldn't use politics to advocate against homophobia, I'm pointing out the fact that LGBTQ people's existence is seen as "political" and "controversial" is CRAZY.

Please, please, to all my queers, don't listen to them. Your human rights should not be a political debate. OUR human rights should not be a political debate. OUR human rights is not a "debate content" idea. OUR human rights is not somebody's political content idea. Please. Please. Please. Please.

A question for folks whose name doesn't match the one on their ID

I work security. Sometimes I have to check ID's for membership and no-go and age restriction reasons. Repeatedly interacting with people after I ID them is common.

Is there a polite and chill way to ask, "is there another name that may be on the list?" Or, "what would you prefer to be called?" Without putting them on the spot?

Most people see me as a random cis person so I'm especially worried about putting other genderqueer people on the spot, and I also don't want to risk making the lovely lady with the She/Her pronoun pin correct me if I have to find her and only know her as "Nathan".

If you spot a fellow queer outside instead of publicly outing them to a potentially not-okay crowd by outright saying it or even doing the limp wrist thing, tell them you like their shoelaces

Things like the whole {I like your shoelaces. Thanks, I stole them from the president} is there for a reason and is far less likely to make the poor person you might have just outed to conservative parents laser-eye you through the Earth

People being a-spec and EXPRESSING that they are actually a-spec= automatic relationship/romantic rejection.

(Not applicable in case of being followed/harmed/trying to escape a dangerous situation. We all know should have known this, how many times do I HAVE to clarify INDIVIDUALLY to you guys?)

I don't understand why when we say that we are ace/demi/aego/etc, it automatically means that we are rejecting them. We can still have (queerplatonic) relationships even if we are ace/demi/aro/a-spec.

This saying indicates that your stance on human lives and rights are based of personal connection, allyship, and benefit. You (sound like you) only believe in someone's human rights if you personally like them or when they give you any sort of benefit in return.

I'll fight for YOUR RIGHTS even if I personally DON'T like you. Even if I don't know who you are. I will make sure you have the right to live even if I will never get the thing I advocated for you. I will make sure you will not die from just being YOUR IDENTITY even if it means I will get "no benefit". I will make sure your right to live is fulfilled even if we will never meet eachother.

I'll NOT fight for your rights ONLY because you are my family, friends, mutuals, etc, I'll fight for you because you are a human and someone that should live your life, even if I will never be in the picture.
