this is a flag/symbol for queer plurals! lots of people in systems have an extra complicated relationship to gender, orientation and people in general because of their plurality, so i made this for people who want to express that!

and yes before you ask endogenic and non-DID systems are included in this so gatekeepers can fuck off <3

"a man in a system who has to dress up the body of his cis woman host when he fronts to feel himself" serious question: what does this mean?

since you didn’t specify what part of this you wanted me to explain i’m gonna assume you’re unfamiliar with pretty much all the terminology in this sentence - that’s ok! let’s take this from the top:

system is the word for any group of people who share a body. most people know of this in the form of dissociative identity disorder, but it’s more than possible to be a system without meeting the criteria for that (or any other dissociative disorder!) here’s a ton more info about being in a system.

host is the word that we generally use to refer to the ‘leader’ of the system. someone is usually the host of a system because of any combination of the following reasons:

they’re the ‘original’ person who’s been in the body since birth

they’ve been in the system the longest

they identify most with the appearance and manner of the body

they front the most (they spend the most time in control of the body)

they’re the person who everyone agrees to act like to pass as a singlet (a person who isn’t part of a system)

so, let’s construct an example:

janine is the host of a DID system. she’s a cis, because the body was assigned female at birth, and she identifies as a woman, and she’s pretty okay with that.

mark is another person in this system, and he’s a guy (whether he’s trans or cis doesn’t really matter for this example). he doesn’t consider the body ‘his’, but he still feels uncomfortable fronting in it - he experiences dysphoria because the body he has to inhabit doesn’t match his internal image of himself.

now, they’ve agreed among themselves that they don’t want the body to transition. mark doesn’t front nearly enough for that to be worth the hassle, and it would make janine dysphoric if they did. so to call either mark or janine or even the body itself transmasculine wouldn’t be quite correct.

but mark still gets a lot of use out of FtM guides to passing. he uses them to help him dress as himself when he’s around people they’re out as a system to. he also finds himself relating to butch women a lot, because of the way he’s treated when he has to pretend to be janine. to describe the experiences he and these groups have in common, we can use the term admasculine.

as you can see, being in a system can really complicate how you relate to your gender and orientation! i hope that explains some things, and feel free to send another ask if you’ve got more questions still c:
