FICTION POD FAM!

ACCOUT SECRETARY POST (not a Parthenoi:)

looking for advice: I'm gonna throw a listening party for my pod, and would love any words of wisdom! Most of my listening community is not familiar with the audio fiction world -- the last time I threw a listening party I think folks felt a bit awkward, i.e. "where do I look? Are people looking at my reactions? What do I do with my hands?"

Since we're not all in a dark room looking at a screen, people don't have a model for how to engage and I think it makes them anxious/less present audience members. Ja feel?

I'm planning on making a kids-style activity book based on the podcast (character coloring pages, content mazes, quizzes etc) as well as having some template letter writing campaigns and fidgets for people to focus on something else (in a way that allows them to actually be focusing on the podcast), but does have people had success with anything else?

How long is too long to listen? Should I dim the lights? Idk, open to all suggestions!

P.S. if anyone wants to make a fan art coloring page for one of the characters, let me know! Would credit you and would LOVE to feature your work ✨ also I will just weep the day I get my first fan art.... perhaps a challenge for #podcastgirlsweek? 🥹🥹🥹
