Do witches still use Tumblr?
I hope that if you were told "you're growing like a weed" when you were young that you did and you continue to do so. I hope you continue to grow, unabashedly despite the direness around you. I hope you continue to bloom and flourish in every brilliant detail no matter what everything else growing alongside you looks like. I hope you grow so tall and strong and proud that nasty words and concrete can't even fathom being able to hold you back.
Does genetic work this way!? Absolutely not but here we are 🤭
Gelphie love child name hasn’t been chosen yet, any suggestions for her?? 🌸💚
I'm the main cover artist for BYTCHCRAFT, a new series debuting this week, 6/18! So stoked to finally get to share these covers as the series comes out this year.

BYTCHCRAFT #1
Writer: Aaron Reese
Artist: Lema Carril
Colorist: Bex Glendining
Letterer: Morgan Martinez
✨
Set against the backdrop of modern-day New York City during a seemingly permanent supernatural eclipse, Bytchcraft follows a queer coven bound by magic and blood, each bringing their own flair to the craft: a pretentious oracle who speaks with gods, an emo necromancer with a forked tongue, and a nature witch with the soul of a fairy tale princess. Under the guidance of their enigmatic guardian MTHR, the coven discovers they’re at the center of an ancient prophecy, and all wytchkind hangs in the balance!

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with women turning to witchcraft to heal and take back their powers.
It was the case for me in the beginning. I was tired of being a good girl and went into my rebellious era. I was expected to be a good Christian woman and a dutiful wife, so I became a witch, fuck them all.
And there was nothing wrong with that.
Reclaiming witch as an identity can be very empowering. Finding kindred spirits and like minds among feminist witch communities can be a breath of fresh air, especially for those of us who have had little luck with meaningful human connections our whole lives.
The problem begins, when women start gatekeeping and believing that they are the authorities to decide who may access this reclaiming, this healing, this self empowerment, this taking powers back. And this became a rampant problem in the modern witchcraft movement. And quite frankly, I think it just, defeats the whole purpose of why we have a witchcraft movement in the first place.
If by finding something to fight back oppression and exclusion, we end up becoming oppressors and exclusionists in the process, then what's the point?
"Witch" is gender neutral. It is free for anybody who wishes to reclaim.
The dialogue between Guy and Doris which goes like "Are they?... you know..." "So what if they are?" is about witches, but could fit with queer people as well
