It doesn't come up too often btw but Zelda and Link in my art are always a queer couple. Like,,, I meant this when I said it. I typically draw Link as a trans guy and Zelda as a trans girl, but also,,,, magic exists in their world, man. Magic and Science. I think they can be whatever they want to be, but they just aren't cis to me. Other times, they're both boys, or they're both girls. Sometimes they aren't either and they're just vibing.
Reasons why Zelink is a queer ship to me:
- Link and Zelda. Enough said.
- The LoZ devs will constantly tease an underlying relationship but will do anything except confirm canonicity.
- Hundreds of fans will scramble to insist they're just good friends and get hostile if you suggest otherwise.
