Idk who needs to hear this, but the point is not that Dean likes Debra Winger, the point isn't even that Dean likes Cowboys, or wants to be kissed.
The point is that the Dean we see 95% of the time is not the real Dean, it's a projection of how he thinks he needs to act. That if you get Dean down to his most essential self, without the memories that tell him he has to repress his true nature, that he has to perform a certain view of masculinity, he would behave the way we see him in regarding Dean.
And they chose. In that episode. In a moment specifically representing Dean experiencing true freedom just once.
To female code the character & imply he wants to be kissed by a cowboy.
They were insane for this.
Enjoying the idea that from 3x03 on, the boys eat in biggerson's because they won free food there. Maybe it was more frequent before Charlie gave them their unlimited credit cards, but they continue to go there on principle. At some point the owners of the biggersons franchise realize, "oh my god. our millionth customers that are always eating us out of house and home are wanted by the FBI! They are serial killers!!!" Dick Roman buys the chain and turns it into a giant franchise specifically to find them.
Okay, it was only free food for one year, but with Dean's appetite they still had to sell the place to Dick Roman.
This derangement brought to you by the fact that Amy, Annabelle, and I sat down to discuss this episode together not once, but twice. Listen as we laugh at prat falls and feed each other's headcanons here! (x)
My mother called me and mentioned that the Ten Commandments and Ben-Hur are on television for Easter. So I asked if I could blow her mind about Ben-Hur.
Her: Go ahead. Me: Ben Hur. Was gay. (Drops mic, but fully wanting to explain) Her: Yes. I know. Tony Curtis said his character was gay years ago.
Happy Easter - maybe?
Guys. The more I find out about Ben Hur the gayer it gets. Ramon Novarro, the original Ben Hur, was gay.
Look, this just started as a joke about whether they didn’t tell Jensen about all the bi!Dean gay subtext. but this thing has snowballed and I’m laughing about it.
