OPEN CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:

A new Newcastle-based art exhibition opportunity coming for 2017, looking for submissions around queering minimalism.

We are looking for work exploring ideas of queerness/gender variation through minimalist/abstract aesthetics, reclaiming that language from the machismo and brash heterosexuality with which it has been historically associated.  

Email up to 5 photographs of existing work, or a short written proposal, alongside a short piece of text explaining the pieces and how they relate to the exhibition theme, to [email protected]

Deadline: February 28th 2017.

NB: Work in any medium is welcome, including performance, audio/video and text, alongside traditional media.

Submissions from artists anywhere in the world are welcome and encouraged, but be advised that work will have to be delivered to Newcastle-upon-Tyne (UK) if the artist is not local.
