" rei papa, where's kazuki papa? " miri questions as she enters the bathroom rei often sleeps in.
a "huh?" was the only response she got as he went down, reading the note kazuki left on the table.
shaking silently, he tells her that kazuki papa has left them again. she lets his words register in her head, where did he go? the same thoughts flowing in rei. did they make him angry again? was it because miri refused to keep her own toys by herself or him playing too much again? maybe ignoring him...
he sighs before he looks over at the clock. pulling out his phone to check the date, it's a saturday. miri has no daycare, which means he's stuck to babysitting her the whole day. he tries to ring kazuki's phone, but it sends him back to his voice mail. he sighs as he puts his phone down. looking at miri as she stares back at him from the table.
" I'm hungry, I want cereal! " she says, for once he felt grateful her request was simple, else she'll be throwing a tantrum for not getting what she wants early in the morning.
as they silently eat breakfast, miri couldn't help but inquire another request.
" rei papa, if kazuki papa isn't coming home, will y/n mama come? " rei chokes at the question. y/n mama? that was the first time he heard her called you that. miri looks shocked at the sudden rei, he downs his glass of water. calming down quickly as he looks at her.
" I can call her to come over if you want, " she beams and excitedly starts jumping around.
" if you're done eating, put your bowl in the sink. " rei instructs as she quickly does as told, going to the living room as she awaits for him to come.
he sinks down on the sofa, whipping out his phone to dial your number. a few rings and you picked it up. miri presses her face against him as rei tries to put her at a distance. it was weird for you to receive a call from him first.
you sigh as your honey trap process was ruined. the guy you were drinking with at your brother's bar, thank goodness he allowed you to do whatever you want as he sent one of his workers over to serve you. you were trying to pry out as much information about his boss in the organisation and it was sooo going to go downhill the moment the phone won't stop ringing. you excuse yourself to pick up the call but the man asked that you just pick up the call here.
" y/n. please come over, " rei says in a monotone as you deadpan. your date glances over at you, leaning slightly as you move slightly back, hiding your face from the man.
" rei papa! is that y/n mama? I wanna talk to her! " you cry internally, your poor poor mission-
from the line you hear rei prying her off him, as she gotten on top of his shoulders, whines spewing around about how mean he was as she hit his back. you take a quick glance at the man as he focuses on downing more and more drink. he's got a pretty lady by his side, he should enjoy it more often!
" rei. I'm on mission! " you whisper shouted.
" oh. " was the only response you got as he hung up immediately.
" y/n mama is busy today, " he tells miri as she stares back at him, on the verge of crying. she hasn't seen you in a week and the least he could do was let her talk to you. rei panicks as he pats her head, this was what kazuki did when she starts crying right? cooing at her not to cry as he offered the TV to her.
" was that your husband? " your date starts as you shake your head vigorously.
" honey, I promise that was just a- um. my brother! " he stares intensely, as you silently pray to all gods not to fail your mission, you were getting into the good parts too.
you lean against his arm, pushing it towards your chest in an attempt to seduce him. he can't leave now! you see his lips open for a moment before his gaze changes over, one of curiosity.
" you're the only one I want, honey " you whisper in his ears as you see him fuming red. pushing a whisky drink towards you, he urges you to drink more with him. you sigh as you manage to save your mission. better get this done faster so you could go home.
as he was looking away, chatting with his eyes staring right back at yours. you swiftly drop sleeping pills over to his glass.
" the boss doesn't go out often and he's often hanging around other girls at lucky bar! " you place your drink down at the sudden information. smiling to yourself as he's just given you the golden answer! this man was clearly drunk, you urge him to finish his cup as he obliged.
" why do you want to know so much about the boss anyway? " he yawns as the effect of the pills start hitting him.
" oh you know, they say he's a young rich fella. it did pique my interest, " the man stares at you with disbelief.
" he can't even fight with a gun! I'm a way better option, babe. " and rei is a way WAY better option you giggled to yourself, ruffling the man's hair as slumber finally consumes the man. you place the bill on the table as you exit the place.
you went into your car, driving to reis place. opening the door, as you kick off your heels. you're greeted by a very excited miri and a suprised rei before his face changed back into a poker.
" y/n mama! " she greets as she engulfs you in a hug, rei making his way to the door. you pat her head as your eyes make contact with rei. he gives you a nod as you sigh, miri clings to your leg as you drag yourself towards the couch. rei stares over your body as you place miri properly by the couch.
" how was the mission? " rei questions as you let out a longer sigh, covering your hands over your face. a blush rushing over when you remember the man's words about being a better fighter and your inner thoughts thought of rei first.
" it's alright, you guys nearly made me screw it up, " miri tugs at your dress as you turn to look at her.
" did mama y/n go to a party? "
" she's cheating on rei papa with another man, " he uncharacteristically says as your blush deepens and he throws his whole body over the couch, wrapping his hands on your waist to pull you into a hug. miri jumps on his back as she started giggling, wigging behind his back.
" I'm sleepy, please just let me rest. " you ruffle his head as he smiles to himself. maybe kazuki being gone was a good thing afterall.
kazuki came back in the afternoon, he sighs as he noticed your heels by the door. rei couldn't take care of miri by himself?
he looks over to the couch, you were sleeping with a rei, hugging your torso and miri on his back. he laughs silently as he quickly takes a picture.
as you awakened from your slumber, kazuki wakes both miri and rei. gathering everyone to eat at the table.
" did you screw up the mission? " kazuki asked as you and rei gave each other a quick glance before staring at the blonde. you shake your head no.
" how was it? " he shoots another question.
" you used honey trap right? " you internally panick at where this was going.
" honey trap? " miri asks as you glared at kazuki, cheeky smile slapping itself on his face.
" yes miri, it's when y/n mama says sweet things to rei papa and gets what she wants, " he points his chopsticks up like a teacher teaching his student on the whiteboard.
" so what, " you fumed as rei follows along, keeping a pokerface but the slight red on his ears isn't going anywhere from kazuki eyes.
