12 (SFW) Can they stand silence? Who talks the most? Who talks the least?
Oh, they’re absolutely comfortable in each other’s silence. Mirko loves to cuddle up on the sofa with Martín for quiet, lazy evenings.
At first it’s hard for Martín to open up, to talk about his past and especially about Andrés. Then one day, after yet another nightmare he asks Mirko to hold him and just lets go. He talks about Andrés, about the years it had taken him to get Martín to trust him and how it took just a few minutes to break him completely. He speaks quickly and stops just a few times to take deep breaths, it’s almost like he knows he won’t be able to talk about it again if he stops. He’s a sobbing mess by the end, but Mirko is right there with him, he dries Martín’s tears with his thumbs and tells him he’s never going to leave.
Mirko talks a lot, he tells Martín about the first heist, his life before he moved to Spain, he tells him how much he loved travelling around Argentina with Nairobi. One night as they lie spooning in bed, Martín shyly asks Mirko about his past, his voice a soft whisper as he voices the questions he’s been holding for so long. He wants to know what it’s like to be a soldier, what it feels like to fight an actual conflict. And Mirko tells him everything about the horrors of war, he talks about Oslo and other men, friends, so many he had lost. As Mirko’s voice gently fades, Martín turns in his arms and places a kiss on his lips, promising he’ll never leave.
9 (NSFW) Quickest turn ons? Immediate turn offs?
Mirko? Easy, Martín waking him up in the morning by almost purring his name right in his ear, dragging the ‘r’ as his hand moves lower and lower, his nails gently scratching at the skin on Mirko’s hips.
Martín? Even easier, Mirko gets shirtless a lot, knowing full well the effect it has on the other. All it takes is a couple seconds of smiling tentatively, raising his eyebrows at Martín, to have him in his arms, their lips meeting in a passionate kiss.
Turnoffs? Keeping socks on during sex. It’s mandatory they get taken off before they move under the sheets.
Whoa, I just read your post about Nicky's way of showing love to Joe, and it was genius and so on point. Earlier on, I went full emotional @ my sideblog about Joe's fear of losing Nicky, and now your meta just made everything feel more urgent. Thank you!
wow hi thank you!! i do Not blame you for getting emotional, i think that’s a deep fear for joe (and possibly why he reacts so strongly to booker’s betrayal - they could all be separated now which means he might lose nicky and that’s unacceptable. it’s his worst fear and that’s why he’s so angry. he is so scared).
anyway they WEREN’T separated and when they get a quiet moment they probably hug for a really, really long time

I’ve been to the UK, Poland, Austria, Greece, Egypt and Jordan, which is by far the most beautiful country I’ve seen so far.
18. Pu-erh tea: What is a book you can recommend to others?
There’s this book which I’ve read during lockdown that really stuck with me. It’s called Chernobyl Prayer, by Svetlana Alexievich and it’s a collection of testimonies from people living around the Chernobyl zone at the time of the incident in 1986. The author collected all this data over the course of like 10 years and then wrote everything down in the book. It’s heartbreaking and so, so poignant, you can feel the resignation and hopelessness of the people who lived such tragedy. It’s not an easy book to read but it’s definitely worth it.

Q for JoeNicky <3
There's one missed call on Joe's phone.
It might not be important, if it were someone else, but it's from Nicky's phone number, the last one he had before he been kidnapped. It's been six long, agonizing months with no hint of where he'd been taken to, no whisper of where he could be held. Six months of almost no sleep for Joe, because he can't sleep without Nicky curled against his chest. Six months of searching, of tears, of fighting to find the love of his life.
And now there's one missed call.
Joe stares at it, trying to convince himself to call the number back, but it starts ringing again, the same number flashing on the screen. His hands shake, his breath trembling as he presses the answer button and brings the phone up to his ear. "Hello?"
"Yusuf..."
