I have a question

If all motion in the universe halts completely, then does time exist?

Time is defined as “the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole.” If the progress of existence and events stops, and then resumes, would time technically exist? If not, then what would the space between the motion be called? If it does, then what really is time?

This is why I don’t pay attention in chemistry I was trying to figure this out.
