Queer hate

Hi I'm currently writing an essay on hate within the LGBT+ community for my Fashion Degree.

Does anyone have any personal or impersonal stories or opinions they'd be willing to share about hate they've experienced from other members of the community? No names will be given, it's just for me to gain a broader perspective on the community besides my own experiences.

What are you talented at? What ya got? I can cook, play video games and make reasonably good videos. I’m also really good at being a shoulder to cry on, whether IRL or online.

What is a big goal you are working towards? I wanna get big enough on youtube that I earn enough money to be able to move out, and then move to Perth.

What is your aesthetic? Dark. Not like dark edgy crap, just a nice dark room with comfy furniture.

Do you collect anything? Humble Bundle Key Codes, got way too many of those damn things.

A subject you always talk about? Gaming. I talk about games FAR too much :D

What do like about yourself: Physically I am fond of my eyes. Otherwise?? I can bake and cook pretty decently. I am creatively apt? I am so empathetic and emotionally charged I will cry when you tell me you love me or tell me sad news that has no real bearing on anything. Watching the news is sometimes really hard. 

Tattoos: None. I want some. But the Husband has been telling me more than ever that he doesn’t want me to get any. My body. We’ll see.

First surgery: I got my wisdom teeth. No surgeries otherwise.

First vacation: Uhh. We went to Disney World when I was 2. We used to go to the Poconos and dune-buggy camping when I was little, too.

Cried when someone died: All too recently... Last summer was a really hard one. Which wasn’t that recent, but it’s still fresh enough. Also, I cry when my parents cry, or others around me cry, or if I think too hard about a good memory with a lost one. I cry a lot.

1. HOW TALL ARE YOU? 5′9" (something like that.) 
2. WHAT COLOR AND STYLE IS YOUR HAIR? It’s a medium brown color, with some little blotches of red that become obvious in the sunlight. I don’t do well dying my own hair… 
3. WHAT COLOR ARE YOUR EYES? A dull greenish-gray. They seem a lot brighter sometimes; It confuses me. 
4. DO YOU WEAR GLASSES OR CONTACTS? I wear glasses. I like them. I think my eyes look too close together without them.. 
5. DO YOU WEAR BRACES? Yes, but I forget they’re there sometimes. They’re clear, and honestly never bothersome. 
6. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE FASHION STYLE? I like some grunge stuff, and vintage things. I don’t dress that way, though- I wear simple things. :c

8. WHERE ARE YOU FROM/LIVE? I am from my mother; I live on earth. Specifically, the U.S.. More specifically, Georgia.

11. DO YOU LIKE SCHOOL? As made obvious from the previous question, only certain subjects. I’ve never liked school, outside of English and learning another language. Japanese, specifically- though Latin was fun while it lasted..

13. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS? Way too many shows and movies out there to settle on one. I don’t have any favorites but some characters I can think of atm that I love: Gintoki Sakata from gintama, Simon and Kamina from Gurren Lagaan (I always misspell that, ignore it if I did..), all of the characters in Puella Magi, and hrm.. Speaking of Magi, I really like Alibaba. I thought they developed him well in the series. I should read the manga.

14. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TV SHOWS? I don’t watch a lot of TV, but I enjoy anything on the food network. I love the U.S. Office, and Catfish as well. Parks and Rec, Rick and Morty, The Mighty Boosh and The Inbetweeners are all funny as well, from what I have seen of them.

15. FAVORITE PASTIMES: Silly and deep conversations, visiting new places, Disney trips, rainy walks around the neighborhood, Skype calls, the feeling of melancholy. 
16. HAVE ANY REGRETS? Not really. Anything shitty that’s happened to me has been for the best. 
17. WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET MARRIED? Yeah, of course - but I’d never rush it. They’d have to really earn my trust.
