“a greatsword is a two-handed weapon, master luke,” oridani suppresses the urge to sigh as she approaches, a smaller sword in hand, “you’ll break your arms if you keep trying to lift it like that. perhaps we should’ve started simpler. this should be better, it’s a proper length for you.” she extends the hilt towards him before drawing her own sword and standing across from him, “notice the way i stand, replicate it if you can - proper fighting stance is the first step. you don’t want to find yourself in a position to be knocked over.” this hadn’t been what oridani had in mind when getting appointed as his bodyguard, but she supposes she feels better knowing that he has some inkling of how to defend himself. the next step will be armour, perhaps. “now, how much do you know about swordfighting? beyond the obvious, of course.” this is gearing up to be a long afternoon.
