when I was young and naive (last year) I used to posit all kinds of horrific face claims for my fav characters. for that I want to apologize, I am always learning and trying to do better (stop seeing every attractive man on the internet as a face claim for a character)

I think it’s important that you all know that when I was at a funeral lunch for a dear family friend from Ireland last week, I was talking to these two fellows from Galway (relatives of the dear family friend) and I explained to them how my parents named me Clare without the i as it was supposedly the Irish spelling, and they both looked at me very strangely, until one of them said, “I’ve never heard of such a thing in my life. Do you mean after the county? Jaysus, your parents named you after County Clare?”

so. that’s my new identity crisis of the season, I suppose. maybe I change my account name to ‘county clare with no i’ for posterity
