He looked up at Percival, an egg clutched in hand, wand between his teeth. He had just risked his life to rescue this little Occamy egg from some poachers, having gotten into a fight in the process. If Percival hadn’t arrived, things would have ended much worse. He reached up to take his wand from his mouth. “I’m alright. See? Not a scratch…” Aside from maybe a burning sensation he felt on his right shoulder. Had a spell hit him?
“Not a scratch, huh?” Percival wasn’t sure he had the patience to wait for Newt to realise that he was bleeding from his shoulder, but he was doing his best to remain calm. “Newt, you could have been killed! It’s one egg! I appreciate that you are willing to risk an awful lot for your creatures, and I respect that, but your creatures need you alive!” The little egg in his hands, it would rely on Newt for a long time to come now, and it wouldn’t have been helped at all if Newt had died in the battle over it. “If I had gotten here any later... honestly Newt, you’re going to give me a heart attack.”
