Ten people have died on Everest this week, mainly because they have been queuing in their hundreds to reach the top.

That is just silly.

I have climbed to the top of Ben Nevis and stood on the trig point, and so been the highest person in the UK. That is enough for me.

The big advantage of climbing Ben Nevis is that it does not have a Death Zone.
