We've started a research bit on Mount Everest and my mum was like, "let's all take 20 to 30 minutes and get some surface level information and then regroup and discuss what we should do for this project"
anyway, I've decided to narrow in on the fatality rate and the death zone, so

My hobbies include sitting on my couch in sweatpants, drunk on hard cider, screaming at the climbers of Mount Everest documentaries about how they should climb the highest mountain in the world.
I can’t even walk up a flight of stairs without get winded but I’M TRYING TO SAVE YOUR LIVES, DAMNIT.

Ten people have died on Everest this week, mainly because they have been queuing in their hundreds to reach the top.
That is just silly.
I have climbed to the top of Ben Nevis and stood on the trig point, and so been the highest person in the UK. That is enough for me.
The big advantage of climbing Ben Nevis is that it does not have a Death Zone.
