"Deepest respect to Her Royal Highness for such an incredible feat of endurance!" Jacke leung, climber who captured images of the Princess climbing Ben Nevis
"Catherine, Princess of Wales, has become the first royal to complete the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon two years after her cancer diagnosis. The princess undertook the gruelling mountain challenge to raise awareness and give back to cancer charities, particularly London's Royal Marsden hospital where she received treatment. She met with amateur climbers and cancer survivors during the climbs across Britain's rugged landscapes."
The Princess greeted fellow climbers.
Ted Haslam, an 11-year-old paraplegic boy who was pushed and carried by 15 friends and relatives including his father to the top of Ben Nevis mountain in Scotland. He took on the challenge to climb three highest peaks in the UK in under 30 hours with help from his father and other friends to help raise funds for the charity. The boy was aiming to raise money for children's charity Molly Ollys, which donated play equipment to Ted while he was being treated in hospital.
The Princess made a donation: "One of the real highlights of the Three Peaks Challenge was meeting inspiring people like you along the way. Huge congratulations to the entire team for raising money for such a wonderful cause." C
