“My hugs are unforgettable, you know.” you smiled, waving him to take a seat opposite to you. “Yeah, I remember them from when your hands were permanently sandy and you had seashells falling out of your pockets.” Chan chuckled. You stuck your tongue out at him, only eliciting another laugh from him.

Felix's eyes were wide, the soft angles of his face contorted in surprise at the words he'd just heard. The rain beat down relentlessly on the both of you, flattening your hair and leaving your clothes sticking to your skin. "Y-you love me?" He stuttered out, his voice barely audible over the downpour.
The sting of hot tears burned your eyes, the words choking you on the way out of your mouth- "You're blind if you didn't notice,Lix, I've been in love with you since middle school."
"I-I- Y/N, you're kidding, right? I thought we were just friends." Felix spluttered. "Hell, I told you that I was in love with Yuna!"
A bitter smile spread across your face, along with the first tears spilling down your cheeks. "It's okay. As long as you're happy, best friend." You'd never live the first day of monsoon the same way again.
