It should’ve been more difficult, Ritsu mused, to be this close to big brother Kureno again...
Even as such heavy thoughts circled in his brain, his body remain relaxed as he let his weight rest against the older man’s side. With anyone else, he’d probably already have kicked up a fuss, wondering if he’s too heavy, maybe he was breathing too noisily, did they need him to get up and grab something, etc. etc.
And yet, there’s something comforting about Kureno. He exuded such calm and patience, that Ritsu didn’t feel the instinctive need to panic or worry. Kureno never made him feel like he was too much to deal with in one sitting.
But then that’s the way Kureno always been, even when they were kids.
Face heating with a slight embarrassed blush, Ritsu smiled in response to Kureno’s.
And as Kureno slowly, so slowly, and carefully leaned against him, the pressure and weight barely felt, some part of him buried deep, deep in his soul unclenched as well. He’d missed his big brother but this was probably a step in the right direction to reconnecting again.
