#film #pelikula it was a slow start, but when it hit its stride, it fulfilled its mission, of education, and instilling pride. I've honestly never gone to see a movie where people erupted in spontaneous applause at the end. when president was a statesman, in a government that defied the odds in favor of the greater good, the morally right, and had faith that his people operated with that same moral compass, and a people that did not fail them. don't you just miss those days? sure, the american government that time did what they had to do to protect their interests, but it would be personally interesting to watch this movie with americans. clearly their immigration issues, among other things, are deep rooted. was stressed out about that the time it took for the government to decide, the politics and the anti-Semites. the whole ordeal makes the decent, compassionate americans of that time that much more heroic. and textbook fairies, why isn't this bit of history in our textbooks, discussed more? maybe if we knew this happened, it may inspire the same altruism today. #QuezonsGame https://www.instagram.com/p/ByP6c5MFznY/?igshid=1wthm3ijw6u98
