Finally finished Kira’s portrait (the same model from last week. I really struggled with this one? Mostly because of the eye shape. Still think they turned out too small, but there is a likeness, so I guess that could work. 16 hours, oil on canvas.

A 1-hour (since I technically painted for just one hour, plus the pencil sketch took about 15-20 min) quick color+technique study of Alisa, the model from the big piece posted earlier. I need to do more of these, since you don’t really have time to think about what goes where, how the colors co-relate, you just paint. Some funky colors there, because I was playing around with new fancy oils, especially olive green, which is honestly a find in terms of neutral/cold mids.
