A guide for beginning with Meridia, intended to help you begin your practice, but not to serve as the only information you use.
Keep in mind most of this post is UPG versus just based on the fictional canon, based on my personal experiences with this entity. It may directly contrast fictional canon and the experiences of others. I suggest, as always, at least reading over Their UESP lore page for a more canon perspective before coming back here.
This is written by a person who worships Meridia and doesn’t believe that the Daedric Princes are pure evil.
Meridia, Goddess of Life and Energy, who frees us of so many things. She frees us of the bonds that bind us, frees us of our self-hatred and the terrible things we feel of ourselves. She loves us all and seeks to adore us in our every single aspects.
Meridia is an incredibly multifaceted being, and considers Herself as “everything”. She is the light, the dark, happiness, sorrow, rage, love, hatred, everything. Fae is associated with the energy of living things, which includes very much.
Within lore, Meridia is seen as one of the few truly benevolent Daedric Princes. However, in reality, she can be just as cruel as them if given the correct things. She dislikes disorder, and can be fairly obsessive, self-righteous, and has a great rage towards the cruel.
Within Khajiiti myth, Merid-Nunda is the daughter of Magrus. She is a cold spirit, born of light without love. She is intellect without wisdom, and knowledge without purpose. Some songs blame Her for orchestrating the death of Lorkhaj. Her worship was likely replaced and cut out when the Riddle’Thar cult took power which altered or removed many of the deities.
The Ayleids saw Meridia as the personification of their fourth element, light. As such, She was an incredibly important figure for them. They often depicted Meridia with wings and a cowl.
Skyrim’s Nords generally saw Meridia’s worship as heretical, but left the temple on Mount Kilkreath alone, because the priests were hospitable and more than willing to provide travelers with food and warm beds.
Meridia is stated to mostly talk to cult leaders, and as such might not communicate as often as other Princes.
She is typically depicted with the imagery of scales, wings and rays of light. Flowing lines represent the energy of Meridia as a common form of symbolism. People carry crystals because light and vibration affect them, believing that it allows Meridia to bless them directly.
Meridia is an intermediate Prince to begin with.

🝊 identity . . .
Meridia is a bold and confident Goddess, who is very sure of Herself. She knows what Fae wants, and She pursues Faer goals strongly and surely.
She can be seen as self-righteous, as Fae tends to have a mentality of “I need to fix everything for my followers”. She is also often obsessive, sticking tightly to Her goals and desires, and it’s hard to shake Faem off of these things.
Meridia is a tall AFAB individual, with long flowing platinum blonde hair, and bright glowing golden eyes. She usually dresses in long, brightly colored dresses.
Her voice is strong and firm, and the pitch isn’t that far off from the Skyrim depiction, being slightly higher.
☘ aspects . . .
. . . Merid-Nunda ]
Well, it’s debated if this is actually an aspect or if it’s just plainly Meridia.
Merid-Nunda is a Magna Ge, who essentially became a Prince through consorting with them.
☉ domain . . .
The vast majority of the Colored Rooms is not open to followers, but of what is visitable are many-faceted, being a cross between a coral reef and a vast field of floating stones, strewn with colorful trails of dust or cloud. The “ground” between said stones looks like luminescent water, though is solid enough to walk on; with the skies like floating effluvium oceans of crimson.
Followers aren’t really intended to come and stay for a long while, only to speak to Meridia and to relax there for a bit, before heading on their swift way.
⛮ working with . . .
Meridia is a fairly strict Goddess, who asks a lot from followers. She expects them to be very present and to pursue Faer commandments upon a daily basis. She desires for followers to speak to Her as often as possible, and welcome Faem into ones life.
Actually working with Meridia often includes a lot of inward work, working hard to pursue goodness and ones own happiness and wellbeing. She prefers for followers to be completely and utterly open with Meridia, and withhold no secrets, but copes when such can’t be given.
She is a kind and loving Goddess, who really will do everything for you if you just ask and let Faem.
“Purity” is something Meridia talks a lot about, which isn’t purity in the context of Western purity culture (not having sexual contact, covering ones skin in clothing, etc), but a very different “Purity”. Meridia’s purity is about being a good person, being true to oneself and others, being physically clean, supporting others, not being selfish, among other similar things.

. . . mythos ]
Star-Queen Varalias asserts that Meridia is the Light who witnessed the Crucible of Creation.
( FIRST ERA )
. . . The Hollow City
Long ago, a city existed upon Nirn which was devoted to Meridia. Meridia gifted her people the Lights of Meridia, relics whose power protected the city and made life easier for its inhabitants. Molag Bal sent minions from Coldharbour to destroy it, but the warriors and mages of the city managed to seal the gates and protect everyone within. Everyone outside the gates was slaughtered. The Ayleid King Laloriaran Dynar was visiting the city, and he quickly took command of the city's defenses.
The Ayleid King single-handedly protected the gates. As he fought, he prayed, and Meridia answered. She felt compassion for her worshipers, but also saw an opportunity: Molag Bal's portal worked both ways. She filled the Lights of Meridia with even more of her divine power, warded the city and pushed it into Coldharbour. The Lights of Meridia and the city's inhabitants were scattered across Coldharbour when the city entered the realm. Many of the city's inhabitants were captured or slain, and the Lights were stolen by the minions of Molag Bal. Despite the fact that not all of her people survived, Meridia still accomplished a major feat; she had sent a portion of her realm into Molag Bal's domain, and he could not touch it.[57] This tactic would pay off in the years to come.
. . . Twilight of the Ayleids
Sometime after the Alessian Slave Rebellion, various Ayleid kingdoms launched a desperate search for the fabled Wrathstone, which they believed would lead them to a weapon that would be their salvation against the encroaching forces of the Alessian Empire. An expedition marched to the Dwemer city of Mzulft, in the hold of Eastmarch in Skyrim, where it was rumored the Wrathstone was held. The Ayleids besieged Mzulft, but failed to breach it or retrieve the artifact. At the time, the Ayleids were unaware that the Dwemer only possessed the left half of the Wrathstone, and that half was stored not at Mzulft, but at nearby Kagrenzel.
After the failure of the raid on Mzulft, Meridia appeared to her faithful with a cryptic warning that the Ayleid Empire would soon fall, and gifted the right half of the Wrathstone to the city of Garlas Malatar. At the time, Garlas Malatar was ruled by King Narilmor, who was one of Meridia's most devout and favored adherents after Umaril the Unfeathered. To keep his piece of the Wrathstone safe, Narilmor did not provide aid nor asylum to the desperate Ayleid refugees from other kingdoms, and locked them out of his city. The inhabitants of Garlas Malatar were not heard of again. Although Garlas Malatar was eventually besieged by men, some accounts have suggested that the attackers did not even make it inside Narilmor's city before it collapsed into ruin; it was suggested that the city fell from within, brought down by internal conflict or sabotage.
( SECOND ERA )
. . . Planemeld
During the Planemeld and the Three Banners War, Cyrodiil was left in ruins and the provinces were divided by the few were left to oppose the invading Daedra. Meridia had her servant, Sees-All-Colors, assassinate the leader of the Fighters Guild in order to assume the role of guildmaster. Under Daedric command and funded by the wealth of Meridia's worshipers, the guild began refusing all other contracts and focused its efforts on destroying Dark Anchors and opposing Molag Bal's schemes. Meanwhile, the Five Companions were reformed following the prophesized arrival of the Vestige, who freed the Companions from Bal's clutches and reclaimed the Amulet of Kings, defeating Mannimarco in the process.
Disguised as a mortal, Meridia welcomed the Vestige along with the Fighters and Mages guilds into the Hollow City, which she had thrown into Coldharbour in years past. She allowed them to plot their assault on Molag Bal's citadel within its walls. Meridia waited within her city as King Laloriaran Dynar and the Lights of Meridia returned to her city. When the guilds finally invaded Molag Bal's fortress, Meridia personally manifested in the Planar Vortex to destroy it. She erected a forcefield to prevent Molag Bal from harming the Warriors of Light as they destroyed the Dark Anchors within the vortex. The power of the Light of Meridia was unleashed at the focal upon of the vortex, the Planar Vortex was destroyed.
The Vestige later faced Molag Bal at the seat of his power and defeated him. This released untold measures of souls from the Prince's grasp. Meridia plucked the Hero's soul as it escaped the realm, and allowed the Vestige to reunite with it in the Colored Rooms.
. . . The Triad
Meridia sent her Golden Knight to foil the Triad's plans. The Knight was kidnapped by agents of Mephala, and Dawnbreaker was shattered. The Vestige sought Meridia's aid in repairing the blade. Meridia added to its power, enabling it to be used to locate her Knight. Nocturnal then invaded the Colored Rooms, abruptly ending the Hero's correspondence with the Daedric Prince.
With Meridia incapacitated, only the Golden Knight was left to enact her plans. Dawnbreaker was corrupted by Nocturnal during later conflicts, and the Knight, realizing that he was the last Light of Meridia, sacrificed himself to purge the darkness from the artifact. The Vestige used Dawnbreaker to defeat Nocturnal at the Crystal Tower's summit, ending the Triad's threat to Tamriel.
Later that year, Meridia's temple at Mount Kilkreath was ravaged by a harrowstorm. Many of her worshipers were killed or transformed into undead monsters. The remnants of her priesthood delved into the temple and retrieved a relic imbued with her light, known as Meridia's Brilliance.[69] It had the power to channel Meridia's light and purge the temple of corruption. One of the surviving priests used the relic to seal the temple following the disaster.
( THIRD ERA )
Meridia has gifted many different Daedric artifacts to her champions over the years, though some of these relics are associated with other Daedric Princes. Sometime around 3E 405, an agent of the Blades received the Ring of Khajiiti from Meridia after defeating a sorcerer who betrayed her.
In 3E 433, Meridia charged the Hero of Kvatch with the task of destroying necromancers who were raiding tombs for corpses to raise an army of the undead, again in return for this ring. The same hero also defeated her champion, Umaril the Unfeathered, who had returned from Oblivion after his defeat in the First Era.
( FOURTH ERA )
Meridia offered the sword Dawnbreaker to the Last Dragonborn in 4E 201 in return for helping her cleanse her temple, which had become tainted by a necromancer and the shades of the corpses he desecrated.

REIMU HAKUREI
ray-moo hah-koo-ray
prns. they / she
The Hakurei Shrine Maiden, main person in charge of handling incidents for Gensokyo. She also manages the Great Hakurei Barrier and tends to the Hakurei Shrine. She “exterminates” troublesome youkai, by beating them in a spell card duel and non-lethally reprimanding them. However, there have been a few cases of literal killing for the sake of Gensokyo.
Despite her job as “exterminating” youkai, she’s generally friendly with them as long as they are friendly with her. She’s even known to work alongside them when it benefits her.
Her abilities are usage of the Yin Yang orbs, the ability to float, barrier techniques, and aura manipulation. While she has the ability to channel gods, she’s not very good or reliable at it.
They can best be invoked for matters of dealing spirits and exorcism, and general problem resolution of the magical or spiritual variety. She is friendly and more than happy to help, especially if she gets something in return for it, such as money or another offering.

🜲 abilities . . .
Ability to Float –
Reimu essentially floats throughout life. She has great intuition and incredibly luck, naturally ending up on the path of least resistance for most situation.
One example is that Reimu unknowingly walked across a river without getting wet, by stepping on fish that swam beneath her feet.
The ultimate expression of this is Innate Dream, where Reimu floats away from reality and becomes impossible to attack. (This was nerfed in Spell Card Duels with a time limit.)
Hakurei Shrine Maiden Powers –
Handling the Hakurei Yin-Yang orbs, and is trained in youkai extermination techniques, alongside standard duties like performing blessings.
While capable of channeling Kami, she isn’t well-trained enough to do so reliably.
Barrier Techniques –
General aptitude with magical barriers. Such as barriers that explode, push enemies or herself, and allow her to teleport. She is capable of dismantling barriers and seals that are very complex.
Aura Manipulation –
Reimu can control the natural spirits of living things.
This skill was only listed in the omake.txt of Embodiment of Scarlet Devil and has never been displayed.

🝊 identity . . .
They are a friendly, albeit brash, individual. She tends to beat people up before going “Alright, we’re friends now.” She is unusually easygoing and lacks any sense of danger at all, being quite carefree. They are simple minded, always showing her true feelings and acting on whatever ideas she has on the to of her head… but at the same time, nobody but her knows what’s going on in there, and how she is seen varies greatly on who is seeing her – Fairies for example, see her very differently than a human would.
She is liked by both youkai and humans, despite being very intimidating to them.
Reimu is of a moderate height, with brown-black hair that varies in length and style between the games, but is now typically long and loose. Their eyes vary from brown, to red, to even blue, depending on the game.
But she always wears a red ribbon and matching tubes on their sidelocks. She wears a red skirt, a sleeveless red top with a white collar, tied with a yellow, red, or blue ribbon depending on the game, and a pair of white detached sleeves that expose her shoulders and sarashi.
When cold, they can be seen wearing white gloves and wearing a shawl over the top of their usual outfit.
Reimu has a middle-pitch voice, which is fairly melodic and sweet.
⛮ working with . . .
Reimu Hakurei can be worked with easily, as they’re generally eager to be worshiped and revered, as well as help in any way she can. They enjoy giving and providing for others, viewing it as a core part of their life, and likes it when her worshipers give in return.
Reimu tends to take a horizontal friendship relationship with everybody who she comes across, they don’t instate themself as big and mighty, but rather as just a shrine maiden.
She seems to feel a bit off about being worshiped in some aspects – Seeing it as a tad strange to be revered as a hero, but they don’t complain.

( 01 : Highly Responsive to Prayers )
A lone shrine sits Far East: the Hakurei Shrine. The powerful seal placed there has worn away, and many strange creatures are starting to come out. Reimu, seeking revenge for her destroyed shrine and armed with the shrine's treasure (the Yin-Yang Orbs) goes to the gate to face the non-human creatures inside. The gate will lead to either Makai or Hell depending on which route the player chooses. Reimu will fight Elis, YuugenMagan and Sariel in Makai; and Mima, Kikuri and Konngara in Hell.
( 02 : Story of Eastern Wonderland )
Reimu returns from the mountains to her shrine and finds it infested by youkai, ghosts and other non-human creatures. With her faithful turtle Genjii and her trusty Yin-Yang Orbs, she sets out to find the one who caused the trouble. Just after starting her journey she fights Rika, the culprit of the influx of youkai, and later Meira and Marisa Kirisame. At the end, she fights and beats Mima, Marisa Kirisame’s master, and seals her again, although not for a long time.
Reimu gets lured by Rika so she could get her revenge, this time confident driving her Evil Eye Σ. However, she is defeated again.
( 03 : Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream )
Reimu is one of the characters that battles others in order to be the first to reach the Ancient Ruins. There, she finds Chiyuri Kitashirakawa, who she fights with so Yumemi Okazaki could study Reimu's magic, although she insists that it is not magic but divine power. After Chiyuri is defeated, Yumemi fights Reimu to get her home.
After being defeated, Yumemi asks for her wish, which Reimu responds saying she wanted something to help her cleaning the shrine grounds. Yumemi gives her Ruukoto, but Reimu decides to not use her because she wasn’t good at the job.
( 04 : Lotus Land Story )
Reimu mulls over on how quiet things have been, but soon enough, youkai and spirits start flooding out into Gensokyo again, putting her shrine in danger. She confronts a few, then realizes this must have been the work of something bigger, and decides to go straight to the source of the issue. She makes her way through defeating Orange, the lake gatekeeper Kurumi and the actual gatekeeper of the Fantasy World (Elly). Inside, she bumps into Marisa Kirisame and defeats her to force her to go home. She finally meets Yuuka Kazami and defeats her twice.
Without apparent reason, Reimu ends up in a strange world where she meets and defeats Mugetsu, who claimed to be the creator of said world. Afterwards, Mugetsu leaves it to her older sister, but she is defeated too.
( 05 : Mystic Square )
A large outpour of demons are appearing throughout the land from Makai, and Reimu sets out to exterminate them. There, she beats the gatekeeper and several residents like Louise, Alice, Yuki and Mai. She reaches the creator of Makai itself, Shinki. She leaves Yumeko battle her, but ends up battling Reimu herself. Afterwards, Reimu learns that the youkai and demon overflow in Gensokyo is the fault of some kind of Makai travel agency. Shinki promises to do something about it, but the demons make their way back to the shrine anyway.
Reimu arrives to some strange world where she has a rematch with Alice, who was confident after having her grimoire at hand, but she gets defeated anyway.

Eirin explains that she actually sealed the Earth away from the Moon in order to prevent the Lunarians from taking Kaguya back. Kaguya, however, has tired of hiding, and so challenges Reimu and Yukari to complete her five impossible requests. Once they're defeated, they undo the seal (and thus "return" the real moon to Gensokyo). Afterwards, they all decide to have a moon viewing. In the Magic and Scarlet Team's scenarios, she attacks the teams in the Bamboo Forest of the Lost, accusing them of being behind the eternal night and falsely accusing the Magic Team of being behind the fake moon.

Afterwards, Reimu summons everyone to the shrine to watch the autumn leaves, where she vouches for Sanae and Kanako and tells Nitori and Aya that they should invite them over for drinks sometime and generally get along. Aya plies her with sake and questions her about the incident, commenting in the article that "Reimu just seems to be a laid-back drunkard". In the follow-up interview, Reimu claims Aya's paper is full of lies and insists her account of the incident is true, though Aya still doesn't recognize Reimu's deeds.
( Silent Sinner in Blue )
Sometime not long after the events of Mountain of Faith, Reimu is recruited by the members of the Scarlet Devil Mansion to power their rocket to the moon. The group is defeated by the Watatsuki sisters, who keep Reimu on the moon for a short period of time to clear their names before returning her unharmed to Gensokyo. Unbeknownst to almost everyone involved, their voyage was simply one part of a complex ploy by Yukari to intimidate the residents of Eientei.
( Cage in Lunatic Runagate )
In chapter 1 of Cage in Lunatic Runagate, Reimu visits Eientei to ask about an injured youkai rabbit at her shrine, but unbeknownst to her, it is actually a moon rabbit. Eirin sends her off and tells her that the rabbit might be a fox or tanuki youkai tricking her.

It was stated that Reimu was hiding and hearing over the whole symposium, that was attended by Hieda no Akyuu, Marisa Kirisame, Kanako Yasaka, Byakuren Hijiri and Toyosatomimi no Miko. When she was revealed by Akyuu, Marisa noticed that she had an angry look on her face (although she seems to not be angry with Akyuu). That's because she's not happy with the discussion the group was having, believing that it's all nonsense. She slammed a pile of newspapers in front of them to prove how bad the youkai are and tells them to stop the symposium immediately. She was requested by the humans of the Human Village to stop this as they were aware – and felt uncomfortable – of "non-humans" discussing on changing the way of Gensokyo's life. The group were unhappy with her personality and her way of "fight-first, ask-later" attitude towards youkai, and can't even spend another minute finishing their sake.
There was also an article included, written by Aya Shameimaru, that involved Reimu's broken-down Hakurei Shrine during the events of Scarlet Weather Rhapsody. It stated that it collapsed due to a localised earthquake and that the roof caved into the shrine. Aya found it suspicious that a celestial, that been Tenshi Hinanawi, came to help and re-build it.

🜉 relationships . . .
This section is also a heavy copy-paste. I can’t type it all please spare me.
Although Reimu often shows up as the main character, she doesn't participate in mundane activities to the extent Marisa Kirisame does, limiting her familiarity with most of Gensokyo's population. Nevertheless, she has interacted with almost every other character that has ever made a physical appearance, with a few exceptions such as the Giant Catfish, Renko Usami, and Maribel Hearn.
( Marisa Kirisame )
Marisa is a close friend of Reimu. They are seen together most often in the print works, game and extra stage prologues where they hang out at the shrine together, chatting about the latest rumors and news in Gensokyo. Marisa even helped Reimu in her festivals before.
Reimu and Marisa often quarrel and spar with each other, for reasons ranging from resolving incidents to hotpot ingredients. Those fights can end up in a danmaku battle like in the Stage 4 of Imperishable Night or their battles in the fighting games. Regardless, they usually resolve their differences and continue being as close as ever.
They’ve also worked together on numerous occasions, such as when they chased down an enenra, [46] or worked to exterminate a vengeful spirit. However, they usually solve incidents at their own pace, and Marisa often aims to solve incidents or events before Reimu.
( Yukari Yakumo )
Yukari occasionally seeks Reimu's assistance in resolving incidents, such as in Imperishable Night, Subterranean Animism and Antimony of Common Flowers, as well as mentoring Reimu to push her spiritual powers to invoke the gods in Silent Sinner in Blue. She remarks about compensating Reimu accordingly during the Imperishable Night incident. Yukari is also secretly a benefactor as well, donating to the shrine behind Reimu's back, something that the latter is unaware of.
( Suika Ibuki )
Suika Ibuki, who often freeloads her shrine after the events of Immaterial and Missing Power, was also one of her allies during Subterranean Animism. Reimu saw Suika's presence as a nuisance at first, but never really bothered with driving her away.
( Aya Shameimaru )
Aya Shameimaru frequently writes articles about the Hakurei Shrine and Reimu's activities, which are often made in an unflattering light. Reimu is one of the people Aya distributes her newspaper to without asking for permission, something Reimu finds annoying. Nevertheless, they have helped each other in the past - Aya was another ally during the events of Subterranean Animism, and Reimu gave Aya information to try and expose Miyoi Okunoda as a youkai.
( Rinnosuke Morichika )
Reimu is familiar with Rinnosuke Morichika, a shopkeeper who owns Kourindou, who she sometimes visits to hang out or for wares. She apparently has a large unpaid tab for requested items and services, but denies it since Rinnosuke "never accepts money" (which he denies being the case). Rinnosuke was also the one that originally prepared her purification rod for her use, and handles all her clothing related issues.
( Sanae Kochiya )
Sanae and Reimu first met when she tried to help Hakurei Shrine out by attempting to get it to switch gods to Kanako Yasaka. After Mountain of Faith, Sanae offered to help Reimu as a fellow shrine maiden to gather faith for the shrine. Sanae Kochiya is on friendly terms with Reimu and appears frequently in Wild and Horned Hermit alongside Reimu and Marisa, sometimes coming to maintain the Moriya branch shrine at the Hakurei Shrine. The two have no qualms about antagonizing the other at times as competitors for gathering faith and visitors, though these quarrels are usually resolved by the next time they meet.
( Kasen Ibaraki )
Throughout Wild and Horned Hermit, Kasen Ibaraki is a regular at the shrine and acts as a mentor (and sometimes guardian) of Reimu, whom she fears is too concerned with worldly desires. Kasen actually initially became Reimu's mentor as part of her own plan, but she continues to view herself as a mentor after her goals were achieved. Kasen is openly critical of Reimu, believing her to be too greedy and slack in her duties. In spite of this and Reimu's annoyance at Kasen's nagging and preaching, Reimu views Kasen as a genuine friend. When fighting Kasen's arm, Reimu was unable to bring herself to fight Kasen whole-heartedly until she realized that the arm battling her was actually a separate entity from Kasen. By the present day, Reimu knows that Kasen is secretly an oni, but partially due to this friendship and partially due to owing Kasen for all the money that one of Kasen's schemes got her, Reimu can't tell anyone else about it.
( Three Fairies of Light )
Reimu is often the target of pranks by the Three Fairies of Light, and Reimu tends to exterminate them on sight whenever she catches them (unless Marisa's escorting them). As of Oriental Sacred Place, the three fairies moved into a tree near the Hakurei Shrine and became Reimu's neighbors, increasing the amount of pranks even more. Reimu wanted to evict the fairies, but could not find their treehouse, which is actually located on the Hakurei Border. Eventually, in an attempt to befriend Reimu so she'll no longer threaten them, the three fairies challenge her to a battle, reasoning that Reimu tends to befriend many youkai after fighting them. Marisa finds that, even though Reimu pointed out that their line of reasoning was utterly ridiculous, she befriended the fairies after all, and the fairies now happily openly spend time at the shrine while helping Reimu out with various chores.
( Kosuzu Motoori )
Kosuzu Motoori, the daughter of the book-lender in the Human Village, is convinced that no harm will come to her from dealing with youma books, because she is sure that Reimu will come save her if anything happens. Throughout Forbidden Scrollery, Reimu frequently finds herself having to solve minor incidents caused by Kosuzu's actions, while also struggling to keep Kosuzu in her place as a human villager in Gensokyo's society.

Reimu is very friendly and laid-back, and you shouldn’t expect her to be super uber serious about the work she performs for you. She’ll handle it, but with a smile and a laid-back demeanor.

Avieroyi, Daedric Prince of Achievement, Music, and Joy, often seen joyfully dancing to a tune, is an optimistic and friendly sort. They work to brighten up the days and the nights for followers, bringing joy and peace upon them all.
Xhe is mostly friendly and sweet, but like all Daedric Princes, is still fairly morally gray. They are known to show great cruelty to any who destroys the happiness of Their devout. They love to joke around, and will often choose “funny” ways to punish people, often seeking irony within them.
Working alongside Avieroyi is a liberating affair, focusing on healing and recovery through all means possible. Xhe focuses on bringing joy and peace to Their followers, as well as helping with shadow work or ending abuses and traumas for Their follower.
Avieroyi is an intermediate Prince to work with, being that while Xhe’s very friendly and sweet, They can be quite brutal if slighted and upset.

While Avieroyi encourages to be as happy as possible, Xhe’s gentle to sadness and other emotions.
Should anyone reject you your joy – Destroy them, or let me.
Essentially, inform Avieroyi about people who hurt your happiness, and let Them wreck them. Or, wreck them yourself.
Do not take others joy from them, unless they deserve it.

🝊 identity . . .
They are very eloquent, often speaking in poetic and metaphorical ways, which can make Xhem hard to understand at times, but ask enough questions and you’ll get there eventually.
Xhe has a steady head, and is very compassionate and caring. They care a lot about Their children, preferring to do anything They can for them as Xhe can.
They can be quite harsh and cruel, if the moment calls for it or requires it. This isn’t often shoved at Their followers, though, though they might see signs of this from time to time.
Xhe typically appears as a Suthay-raht Khajiit woman, tall and proud, with beautiful white, shimmering fur and glistening sun orange eyes. They’re often dressed in beautiful flowy clothes, including dresses and skirts.
Their voice is high and lilted, perfect for singing and dancing alongside of.
☉ domain . . .
Avieroyi’s domain is the Sunspot, a bright and power-filled domain. Everywhere you go, you hear the song of music in some form or another, such as bards playing tunes, windchimes, and the magical rustling of leaves.
⛮ working with . . .
Avieroyi mostly takes up a parental or teacher role.
Avieroyi enjoys being pampered, but isn’t necessarily going to force and encourage that to happen. At least, Avieroyi prefers to be treated kindly and sweetly.
Avieroyi is a kind and nurturing Prince. They support and encourage most things in followers, but can be quite harsh in correcting misbehavior or things that don’t ultimately serve the child or others well (excludes not serving the cruel, though, be as mean to them as you want!)
Working alongside Avieroyi often has Them show Xher cruel and uncaring side, often in retaliation of those who hurt the happiness of Their children. It’s rare They show this side to Xher own, usually only if one really fucks up big time, in which Xhe returns to Their chipper self not long afterwards.
Avieroyi’s blessings often include being nurtured and supported.
Avieroyi when slighted can be harsh and stern, serious and at times cruel. It’s best to avoid slighting Avieroyi, because Xhe is no stranger to punishing and making sure you understand fully what you did wrong.
Things that slight Avieroyi:
ruining another persons happiness on purpose
refusing to self-care and taking care of yourself (lesser slight, more bugs Xhem than anything else)
not a “you’re on fault for failing to cope”, but rather about being anti-recovery
. . . benefits ]
Avieroyi is a very giving Prince, who enjoys providing everything for followers.
. . . risks ]
Avieroyi upset can be very harsh and punishing. Slighting Xhem is very not suggested, as Avieroyi often asks a lot to earn Their forgiveness.

AZURA
azure-ahh
aka. Azurah
prns. she
domain. Moonshadow
date. Hogithum, March 21st
Azura is a mostly benevolent Daedric Prince, herald of the Dawn and Dusk. She is a Mother of the Prophets, blessing humans with divinatory power, to help them help themselves – though at times, She does it for Her own reasons.
Azura protects all of Her children very strongly, wanting to soothe all of their pains and sorrows and griefs. She encourages growth and progress, facing oneself and coming out stronger for it.
Azura is very wise, and while She does not want Her children to suffer, Azura is not at all against letting Her children learn the hard way, or letting them go through hardship that will lead the way for a better tomorrow – Leaving Her to sometimes be called “cruel, but wise”.
Within Dunmeri myth, Azura is one of the Three “Good Daedra”, being the “true way” for Dunmeri to worship and work.
She is also the one who cursed the Chimer to become Dunmer, after they chose the gods of the ALMSIVI, the Tribunal Temple.
Within Khajiiti myth, Azurah is a core part of their passage into the afterlife, and knows the names of all Khajiit that live and will ever live – and as such is often the first step Khajiit take on their spiritual path. She also has a triple aspect, in that She has three forms – Khajiit, Mer, and Human.
She’s said to be more beautiful than any spirit, save for Nirni. She has Khenarthi as Her messenger, who ferries the dead Khajiiti souls to Her for judgement.
Azura tends to lanterns lit by Khenarthi in the eyes of Jone and Jode, their stillborn brothers, when they burn low. After the rise of Riddle’Thar, she fell in prominence somewhat, and is seen as a “distant mother”.
Azura is a great Prince to start with, as She is calm, collected, and cares deeply about the happiness of followers. She is hard to slight, and is likely to forgive quickly with a proper apology.

🝊 identity . . .
Azura is a very understanding Daedric Prince, being much more lenient than others might be. She is caring and just, and wants the very best for all Her devout. She sees our hardships and feels empathy, sympathy, and compassion for what we endure. Even when She sends hardship our way, or when She must let us endure it to become better – She weeps for our pains and desires our soothing and happiness.
She is very gentle, and takes upon a soft guide and guardian feel – Though like with all Daedroth, She can be very cruel and harsh should She feel it is necessary.
Azura seeks to herald change and growth, providing knowledge and guidance all along the way. Unlike many others, Azura does not often use Her own hand to paint the new picture, but instead provides Her followers the tools and capabilities to create such better things.
Azura mostly appears as a Dunmer, a Dark Elf, or as a Chimer, a golden skinned elf, with long pale azure and/or pink hair (depends on the day), and bright golden eyes that shine within the darkness. She’s often dressed in elaborate, beautiful dresses, usually with earrings – The right ear a moon, the left ear a star/sun, depending on how you want to view it.
Azura has an medium pitched, strong and powerful, but sweet at the center. She hardly speaks at loud volumes, though is known to raise Her voice purely to be noticed.
☉ domain . . .
Azura’s domain is known as Moonshadow, which is a very bright and colorful land, filled with pink trees, flowers, waterfalls, and contains a city of silver. It is said to hold “too much” beauty, so much that it can render mortal visitors “half-blind”.
Azura herself resides in a rose palace. She is always welcoming to mortal visitors.
According to the Khajiit people, Moonshadow is where Azurah tends the Gates of Crossing, the bridge between Nrni and the afterlife. It’s here that they are guided to the Sands Behind the Stars if worthy.
⛮ working with . . .
Azura is treated mostly like a teacher.
She is not often pampered, but is not against being treated that way.
To love Azura and yet hate yourself brings Her great sorrow, as She is a Goddess who deeply loves and cares for Her followers.
Working with Azura is heavily shaped by the follower in question, as Azura more just lets you do as you wish, as long as you still invite Her and work with Her, and let your emotions be at the front of worship – Be them positive, neutral, negative, and any colored blends of them.
She teaches many things in relation to divination and astrology, and guides to self-love and adoration.
She also often bestows prophetic dreams upon followers. While not all prophetic dreams might be from Azura, some very well might be, and so followers should learn how to tell when Azura’s influence is present within.
Azura isn’t easy to slight, and is likely to forgive immediately if just apologized to.
Things that slight Azura:
not much… I can’t think of any! /lh a testament to how gentle Azura is
Much like in the canon of the Elder Scrolls, Azura sometimes gives visions / prophetic signs / etc that might not necessarily bring peace to their mind. Sometimes, She simply chooses you to bear a burden, though She tries to be kind and provide for you to apologize for that.
. . . benefits ]
Azura warns followers of hardships coming their way with Her prophetic gifts. She teaches divination and astrology for the sake of goodness for oneself.
Azura teaches intensely to love oneself.
. . . risks ]
There’s very few, next to none risks of working with Azura. Even if slighted and offended, She’s more likely to scold you than punish you, and if it’s bad enough, She’s most likely to just leave and return once you’ve righted your wrong.

( KHAJIITI MYTHOLOGY )
Azurah was born from the third litter of Ahnurr and Fadomai, after the twin Moons and their Motions, and Nirni. Nirni and Azurah immediately began fighting for their mother's favor, but soon an angry Ahnurr struck Fadomai, and she fled into the Great Darkness with her children for protection. There, a dying Fadomai birthed her youngest, Lorkhaj, and bestowed gifts upon the rest. One by one the children received their gifts and departed, until only Azurah and her mother remained. Fadomai then left Azurah her greatest gift, three secrets—instructions on how to create the Khajiit.
Much of what comes after are known in pre-ri'Datta Khajiiti stories. They state that Azurah wept as her dying mother told stories of love, war, and undreamed dreams; the names of all gates and thresholds, of all the spirits, and of all the Khajiit that would ever live. Azurah wept so much that the moonlight reflecting off her tears "became one with the Lattice" as Fadomai died. Azura remained within the Great Darkness for some time, consumed by her grief.
Sometime later, Nirni needed a place to bear children. Lorkhaj tricked his siblings into creating the World to satisfy her desire, and many of Fadomai's children died in its creation. The survivors killed Lorkhaj and tore out his heart. Or so they believed, for the Great Darkness in his blood filled the hole where his heart had been. He sought out Azurah for help. Meanwhile, Azurah remained within the Great Darkness, mourning Fadomai's death. In time, the light from her tears and the Lunar Lattice dispersed the darkness, and she found herself in a "place of moonlight and shadow". Azurah then tried to return to her mother's side, but her tears had created a great sea, and beyond it stood a black gate that opened into darkness. And there stood Lorkhaj, his chest gaping, a shadowy imitation of his heart beating steadily, dripping black blood. But Azurah knew the names of all of the spirits, so she recognized the Great Darkness for what it was. Azurah was able to rip the Dark Heart—and all the Darkness—out of her brother before it could consume him. She cast it beyond the sea, into the Void, where it became the Moon Beast, the first of the dro-m'Athra, and Lorkhaj perished within Azurah's embrace. Azurah made a funeral pyre for her brother before the gate, and lit it with the Twin Lanterns of Jone and Jode. Her tears fell upon the pyre and the ashes scattered across the Lattice. As a result, it is said Azurah (and Khenarthi) can call upon the "true spirit" of Lorkhaj to appear.
The spirit Noctra was born from the black blood of Lorkhaj at the steps of the Void Gate. Boethra was able to defeat the spirit and took her to Azurah for judgment. Azurah was merciful, and allowed Noctra to live if she agreed to serve Azurah and the Lunar Lattice. But Noctra stole one of Azurah's keys and fled into the Void. So Azurah summoned the true spirit of Lorkhaj after her, and now Noctra aids the Khajiit when she is called upon.
Because of Lorkhaj, Nirni could now make children. But she was sad because the forest people, her favorites, were "torn between man and beast" and did not know their shape. So Azurah came to Nirni and tricked her into allowing the creation of the Khajiit, offering a "gift" of new people. She spoke Fadomai's First Secret, and the Moons parted for her. She took some of the forest people and made them many shapes, for every purpose, called them the Khajiit, and put them in the best forests and deserts on Nirni. Azura told them the Second Secret and made them Nirni's secret defenders, and bound them to the Lunar Lattice. And she spoke the Third Secret, and "the Moons shone down on the marshes and their light became sugar".
However, Y'ffer overheard Azurah speak the First Secret and told Nirni what Azurah had done. So Nirni made the lands of the Khajiit inhospitable, and allowed Y'ffer to change the forest people into elves—the Bosmer. And Y'ffer shouted the First Secret across the heavens so all the original spirits could cross the Lattice, but Azurah ensured that neither Ahnurr nor Lorkhaj could hear the Secret. Y'ffer was corrupted by the Namiira sometime after Lorkhaj's death, and murdered Nirni. Hircine, Azurah and Khenarthi slew him in retaliation for the deed, then built a cairn for Nirni using his bones.
Sometime before the Khajiiti people's "first memory", Azurah, knowing that the false Lorkhaj, the Moon Beast, would one day covet her children, used the Twin Lanterns to summon Lorkhaj's true spirit to be a sky-guardian. As the third moon, Lorkhaj shined his light upon the Khajiit, choosing the purest of heart to be part of the "Litter of the Hidden Moon", to learn the way of the Moonlight Blade. And from then on, on nights of the Ghost Moon, Azurah opens the Void Gate, and the Moon Beast will challenge mortals until banished. Modern Khajiit have fallen away from this belief, instead interpreting the Ghost Moon as the corpse of Lorkhaj which was flung to the moons after Convention, and forced to follow Jone and Jode forever as punishment.
It is said that Magrus serves as a reminder of Azurah's wrath. The Sun God once fought Boethra and Lorkhaj, and Boethra plucked out one of his eyes. Half-blinded, Magrus fell into the Moonshadow, where Azurah judged him too fearful to rule a sphere, and tore out his other eye (though other stories say he gave Azurah the eye willingly). Azurah took the eye and fashioned it into the Aether Prism, a stone that reflects the Varliance Gate, and opens from Dawn to Dusk.
( FIRST ERA )
Many years after the Alessian Slave Rebellion, tensions between the descendants of enslaved Nedes and remaining Ayleids grew. Culanwe, one of the most beloved servants of Azura, sought to broker peace between the Nedes and the Ayleids. An Ayleid messenger was mysteriously murdered during this, causing suspicions between the two forces to grow, until an outsider Nede and Ayleid discovered that a servant of Molag Bal was responsible, seeking to sabotage Azura's will. United against a common foe, the Ayleids and Nedes made peace, though Culanwe sought to stop Molag Bal's plots for good. She would later be captured at Laeloria and imprisoned in Coldharbour, tortured by Molag Bal for millennia, much to Azura's dismay.
The disaster caused by Molag Bal at Gil-Var-Delle was the catalyst that sparked the conception of the Coldharbour Compact between the 3rd and 5th of Rain's Hand, 1E 2920. It was an agreement between Tribunal god Sotha Sil and eight powerful Daedric Princes: Azura, Boethia, Hermaeus Mora, Hircine, Malacath, Mehrunes Dagon, Molag Bal, and Sheogorath. Little is known about the Compact, but it is theorized that it prevents the Princes from directly manifesting on Nirn. It is also speculated that, in order to secure the agreement of the Princes, Sotha Sil either made a credible threat to them or presented a significant offer in exchange.
( SECOND ERA )
In 2E 582, Azura asked the Vestige to help free the soul of one of her servants from the clutches of Molag Bal, and to free her Oracles from pocket realms of Oblivion.
Azura involved herself in the affairs of mortals once more when a plot concocted by Barbas threatened to destroy the island of Vvardenfell. She assisted the Vestige and her new champion Seryn in defeating the false Nerevarine and brother of Seryn, Chodala, and begrudgingly helped return Lord Vivec's power so that he could stave off the meteor Baar Dau's collision.
( THIRD ERA )
Some time around 3E 405, Azura charged an agent of the Blades with killing a monk who had offended her. The Blade was given Azura's Star for completing the task.
In 3E 427, Azura took notice of a prisoner sent from the Imperial City to Morrowind in the hopes of being a prophesied hero, the Nerevarine, the reincarnation of Azura's First Era champion, Lord Indoril Nerevar. She helped guide the prisoner into fulfilling the prophecy, becoming the Nerevarine, and freeing Morrowind from the threat of Dagoth Ur. The Nerevarine was also given Azura's Star, as a reward for helping her win a bet with Sheogorath.
In 3E 433, the Hero of Kvatch received the Star for putting down some of Azura's worshippers who had inadvertently been turned into vampires while in her service.
( FOURTH ERA )
Faithful priests of Azura were given a vision that led them away from Vvardenfell before the eruption, and the Dunmer built the shrine of Azura in Skyrim after the Red Year as their thanks to her, so that none would forget that she watches over them all. Azura's further visions tested the faith of the priests, who gradually left the shrine afterward as they were afraid to know their own future.
By 4E 201, Azura's Star was in Skyrim, in the hands of a dying mage. He had corrupted the artifact, allowing it to trap black souls and placing his own inside it. Azura sent the Last Dragonborn to retrieve the artifact, though when found, it was broken. The Dragonborn entered the Star and destroyed the mage's soul, though whether or not this was done with Azura's help is unclear.
