Hi, you can call me Khajiit. This one is a blog dedicated to the pop culture worship of the Elder Scrolls entities - Ranging from all across the board. Icon and banner comes from the Moon Bishop card from TES: Legends.

Primarily unrecorded pantheon and pop culture pagan and eclectic magician, focusing on The Elder Scrolls, Touhou Project, and Pokémon, but I have more sources. I'm also a Buddhist and Shinto practitioner. Practicing since Feb 06 2022.
Pisces Sun, Scorpio Moon, Cancer Rising. Wheel of Fortune & Magician tarot birth cards.
Special interests: cartomancy / divination, The Elder Scrolls, Touhou Project, and Pokémon.
This is my The Elder Scrolls pop culture paganism / magic sideblog. This is the personal blog of a pagan / magician. It centers on my personal experiences.
This is a religious blog, not a roleplay blog!
Taglist here.
⛤ ⚬ Staples of My Worship and Practice
Worship and working alongside are two sides of the same coin.
I utilize Lesser Daedra and sometimes other spirits in my practice.
I use all sorts of oracular tools in my work. Tarot, oracle decks, runes, dice, charms, pendulums, etc.
I do not follow the Threefold Law.
I believe deeply in animism.
I keep a few physical shrines group-dedicated, and use other methods for personal shrines.
I partake in daily worship.
I practice the magic the TES guides have taught me.
I perform "entity juggling", where I pick and choose entities based on need, want, or their presence.
I am not Wiccan. I am a chaotic eclectic pagan.
⛤ ⚬ Main Gods & Guides
It's just the Main Guys I engage with, not everyone I engage with. (I have others outside of this, but this is a TES blog.)
⛤ GODS – Alduin . Clavicus Vile . Hermaeus Mora . Kynareth . Meridia . Molag Bal . Odahviing . Paarthurnax . Sheogorath . Sithis . Vivec . Zolstiura
⛤ ⚬ Some Things to Know
Please inform me if I make a mistake or don't know/understanding something, so I can fix it.
I work with some villains or "evil" entities. I don't blame people who don't.
You can learn more about my pop culture worship on the appropriate blogs.
I believe these entities exist outside of their sources and that source is not comparable to infallible canon / holy books. You can read my stance further here.
I don't believe gods are all-powerful or all-knowing. They are capable of mistakes, misunderstandings, and much else.
This blog doesn't talk about more adult aspects of worship, by choice.
I believe the Gods, Heroes, and Saints interact directly with mortals often, so I may often speak of direct interactions I have.
I firmly believe that the Gods, Heroes, and Saints are deeply and utterly multifaceted.
All pronouns I call my spirit guides are given to me by them.
I use the term "work" to refer to my work in my worship and my path with them guiding and supporting me. I don't claim to be co-creating.
I'm much further religiously than I am magically.
I worship plenty of unrecorded Princes.
I reblog a Lot of art. I find it a good devotional.
All other blogs can be found on @silly-khajiit's bio post.
Hello, I was wondering if you had any resources or advice regarding getting into or at least studying Elder Scrolls Paganism? Specifically focused on Y'ffre. I'm a Hellenic Polytheist first and foremost but this Deity has been on mind an absolute TON. I had previously, maybe two(?) years ago, spent months researching as it had gone from a hyperfixation to a special interest. At one point, I'm pretty sure it turned into an obsession and then wanted to incorporate worship of Them. I stepped away from it for the sake of figuring my shit out and then became devoted to Hellenic Polytheism. Now, I have an idea of explaining how both 'historical' and 'nonhistorical' coexist. It's more so that I just need advice on how to go about it. A bit of a long winded ask but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
So there's a lot of ways one can do any form of pop culture practice. My preferred method is to see them as real, individual entities instead of egregores or extensions of another entity. Your mileage may vary, and other folks may have methods that work better for you than mine! I say this because understanding where I come from informs where I'm going.
I also wanna start with that you might find that the things you used to learn Hellenic Polytheism can be repurposed for this, and you can even incorporate methods of that practice here. Just know that not all of them will work and some you may be actively asked to stray away from when it comes to Y'ffre or others in the Tamrielic pantheons.

So, to start, I'd get a good grasp of the world of Nirn and Tamriel, and an even better grasp of Y'ffre as It (yes, It/Its is one of the pronouns Xe asks me to call It) is worshiped within canon lore. Even if there's not much, there's somewhere to start with.
For instance, let's take that Y'ffre is mostly worshiped by the Bosmer (but also Altmer and Bretons). That can lead you to look into how the various races (especially the Bosmer who are especially attached to It) live their lives, religious and otherwise. You can then begin to go from there – Oh, the Bosmer only eat meat thanks to the Green Pact created with Y'ffre! While you may not go that far (especially as there are also the Altmer and the Bretons who do not abide by the Green Pact), you may begin to associate meat with Y'ffre and share meat-heavy meals with It.
I really suggest the Lore:Y'ffre page on The Elder Scrolls Pages. It goes fairly in-depth about the lore background and what we know canonically about Y'ffre.

Next step would be, in my opinion, to create some personal associations. For instance, Y'ffre is God of Stories and Storytelling. For me, that translates also into theatre and television. It's stories, too, afterall.
It's also God of Song and Forest. While "song" may not directly mean music, to some, it might! So pick some genres or artists that you think would be favored by Y'ffre if you played them for It.

The third and often most anxiety inducing step is to reach out actively. Call out, speak, meet. You may have met before even, but meet again.
Most of how I learned to do this stuff was from being directly told "I want you to do xyz". Hermaeus Mora told me that It wants me to do daily divination as honor of It. So I do. I was told that Daedra worship should be self-empowering. So I let it be that. (Sorry to use two Daedric examples lol)
At this step you still also make personal associations, but a lot of it is more directly led by the entity in question, Y'ffre here. Y'ffre guides you to where They want you to be. To what They want you to do. All of that fun stuff.

That's about the basics of it. The not so basics get into things like trance work, meditations, astral travel, divination and similar based communication, all that sorta stuff, which gets a bit more... personal? Not in the sense of I don't want to share but that each person does these things differently. I cannot give a one size fits all guide for those especially.
I hope this helped some! May your feet always walk on warm sands, internet traveler.

Hermaeus Mora also known as Hoermius, Hormaius, Hermorah, Herma Mora, the Woodland Man, and the Gardener of Men. Hermaeus Mora is the Daedric Prince of knowledge, memory and fate. He is neutral in the affairs of men, having both destructive and helpful knowledge. However he sees servants in those who seek his knowledge.
He chooses to appear to mortals as a void of darkness, or as a mass of tentacles and eyeballs.
He reigns in a realm within Oblivion called Apocrypha, where all forbidden and hidden knowledge can be found. Described as an endless library.
