The prince’s eyes softened and his lips quirked up slightly into a small smile as he thought of his best friend. “I mean, what’s not to like about Prompto? He’s- amazing...” Noctis blushed slightly, “he’s just, like, the greatest guy, ya know? Just so genuine and kind, not to mention hilarious! Like he never doesn’t make me smile, ya know? He’s also just so good at talking to anyone about anything, he’s just like a natural with things like that, all those things that I’m totally shit at... Its just- like I’ve never met someone who’s just- so perfect, I guess... Prompto’s just a different kind of guy, like there’s no one quite like him.” Noctis sighed, shrugging slightly, “I’m just... really lucky to have him... Plus he’s like so damn hot, and- and ok- I’m allowed to say that because he’s my best friend, ok? Prompto is hot as fuck. Yea I’d probably die if he ever heard me say that but it’s true! Also his freckles are totally the most perfect cute thing to ever exist so...” he coughed slightly to clear his throat awkwardly. “S-so yea... um I guess that’s what I lov- like about Prompto...”

The Marshal stood to the side as he watched Prompt take his shot. He didn’t usually supervise shooting practice – he was more experienced with a sword, though he was competent with a gun all the same. He didn’t usually train Crownsguard directly either. He was a busy man and didn’t have the time, but Prompto was a special case. He was to join the Prince’s retinue so Cor would train him as he had done Gladio, Ignis and at times, Noctis.

“You need to relax, Argentum.” He told the boy. “You’re missing shots I have it under good authority that you can make. Don’t let my presence make you lose focus.”

“Noct! Dude, I got the best picture of you sleeping on your Chocobo! Wanna see?” Was this a ploy to just have Noctis pay attention to him? Yes, yes it was.

The raven-haired male looked up, still half-asleep. He’d fallen asleep by the campfire, against the soft feathers of the chocobo he’d been riding earlier that day. He was an especially friendly one and seemed just as happy to snooze as the Prince was. He rubbed the back of his neck.

“Uh, yeah. Sure.”

     "he’s cross with me,  isn’t he?”  Ignis asks.  he’s talking about Noctis,  and the fact that Ignis got hurt.  again.  he can do this,  he’s getting better.  Gladiolus finally agreed to help him practice a little.  it’s the hearing,  he has to focus more on hearing where the enemy is.  “is it as bad as he says,  it doesn’t hurt that much,”  he defends,  shrugging as if the claw marks along his arm are no big deal.

when they got back to camp,  Noctis had gone for a walk.  he was upset,  Ignis knew that much,  he was wasn’t sure what it was all about.  everything,  he supposed.  and Gladio silently set up camp,  leaving Prompto to tend to the injured Ignis.  “be honest with me,  Prompto.  am I getting better?”  he asks,  quietly.  he doesn’t like showing doubt,  but if he must show it,  somehow he feels better showing it to Prompto.  he wasn’t sure if he was helping at all,  though.  perhaps he was being more burden than he thought,  a distraction.

with a quick smile, he poses for the photo — though used to photography, as he photographs himself often, though, often alone. when the young man's lips press against his cheek his expression changes quickly before the photo is snapped, changed to one of confusion, before letting out a breathy laugh, as expected, he was caught off guard. ❛ aren’t you a sneaky one? ❜ he responds, putting his arm around prompto’s waist — ❛ do take it again, so that this time i can be prepared. ❜ offering a smirk, he gestures at the camera.

Was Eden expecting to be caught in the middle of trying to get out of one of the many bases, holding the imperial soldiers? Nope.

She cursed herself for not making a run for it when she can. It meant more trouble.

A slight concerned glint appeared in her brown eyes as she turned to the person. A boy with blonde hair and freckles. He doesn't look like he should be here either. Why is he here?
