I am going back and forth between switching the first two tropes. Because BFF -> <3<3 describes my OTP which I believe I will stay with forever.

"One bed" can have so many things. Will it end well? Will it end badly? Will something happen but make things complicated?

This got long, so it’s going under a cut.

Moon- Are you currently reading any books? If so, what book(s)?

I’m going to include a textbook and an audiobook!

Currently I’m going through R for Data Science. R is a programming language that I know is needed for a few career paths I’m interested in, and I’m so, so grateful that all the study materials and software for it is free!

I’m also “reading” Pride and Prejudice. (quotes because it’s an audiobook.) I am enjoying it so far! Other than the overall praise I see for this book, the final push to check it out was because I watched Bridgerton and I wasn’t satisfied with the story overall.

Since I mentioned an audiobook I should also mention the “Levar Burton Reads” podcast. I love listening to the awesome short stories that he reads. I found a liking to listen to stories being read to me and given that I struggle with making time to read novels this podcast help strike the idea to find audiobooks for novels. :D

One more thing, I’ve also been wanting to take notes of new words to add to my own writing as I listen to these, so please imagine me scrambling for a pen and paper whenever I hear new words I want to learn.

Uranus- What would you say is your greatest achievement?

Maybe because it’s still recent, but perhaps it was leaving a job that made me unhappy, despite how long it took me to "climb the ladder", despite my hard work. It taught me the importance of listening to myself for the sake of my health and well-being.

What music do you listen to while writing? (🎶)

If a song inspires me to write a fic, or if it happens to fit the mood of a scene that I’m writing, that song will play on repeat. I will not be surprised if “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” by The Script is in my Spotify Unwrapped thing this year, lol.

Otherwise, lately I have been gravitating toward lofi beats. I’m currently exploring the offerings on Spotify but my go-to youtube channel is “Lofi Girl” (formerly Chilled Cow).

Sometimes, I don’t listen to music at all and I just write! As long as I’m not bothered by the outside noises.

Funniest comment you got on a fic? (😂)

This was also for Colors in Autumn. After I wrote a chapter that ended with a steamy scene, I got a comment that said “I AM MELTING ON MY BUS SEAT”

🗑️What is one fic idea that you loved at first but then scrapped?

I had plans to write a Sorato fic that followed their relationship through the years. It was going to start on Christmas Eve when Sora made the first move with the cookies. I was going to write about Yamato’s struggles as an aspiring musician and the fic was going to end with him and his band playing in a huge stadium arena and it was going to be his greatest shining moment with Sora smiling proudly in the front row. And throughout all of this, Sorato’s romance/relationship was not going to be a smooth ride.

The title was going to be based off of a song by Elton John because I had it in my head every time I thought of this fic idea.

I think I just lost inspiration for it, partly because there are moments in my other fics where I feel like I’m taking from this fic idea. I’m not as motivated to write something I’ve already written.

Then again, I have a hard time letting go of ideas that have stuck around with me for a while. Who knows if I’ll end up reviving it or remixing it for a different idea.

💡What’s the weirdest thing you’ve been inspired by?

Right around the beginning of the pandemic, I came across a meme on Twitter: “POV: ur city is on lockdown. based on ur birth month, who [of the Chosen] r u stuck with?”

Somehow, I wrote a series of ficlets about being stuck with each of the 12 a la DigiDestined Lockdown. It was a comforting thing to write at a time when the world seemed to turn upside down and I wanted that creative distraction.

Okay, fill me in. What is ‘The Girl Who Stands Out’?

Yamato has had a crush on Mimi for the longest time, and now that she has moved back to Japan from America, he has the chance to tell her how he feels. But, he struggles... so his friends Taichi and Sora help him out whether he wants them to or not.

Basically, it's a high school Mimato romance with Taiora (and Takari) in the background. :)

This one's actually being close to finished in terms of writing. There are currently 5 chapters published. I think it'll be done in 9 chapters.

Hiya! What is Digital Recovery about?

This answer is also for @stoppingtosmelltheflowers.

I am so excited to talk about this fic!!

Here's the summary:

This is a story of eight people living their ordinary lives, each of them yearning for meaning they feel has been missing. When their paths cross, they realize that they had more in common than just going to the same summer camp fifteen years ago.

What was missing had been taken away from them all along, and they have to join together to take it all back.

So far, I've written this with the POVs of each Chosen Child. It's a mix of angst and some drama with flashes of scenes sprinkled in for an overall adventure story. This is meant to have no romance (a rare Noct find!) but you will find hints.

It's currently on hiatus, but I have it published at a whopping 16 chapters and I don’t think I'm even at the halfway point yet.

Here's a snippet from Takeru’s POV:

Takeru could start taking about fantasy adventure fiction and go on forever. He loved reading about worlds where monsters and other fantastical beings existed alongside humans, whether they fought together as evil versus good, or even joined forces. He only wished these stories happened in his reality.

"I think stories like those are the most inspiring," Takeru told Taichi, his eyes wandering toward Hikari's way again.

Her eyes were sad now as she continued her silent adventure through the pages. Was she at the moment of tragedy where she was reading? Or was it a sadness she carried that was only revealed when she thought no one was watching? Either way, Takeru was tempted to run to her and hold her in his arms, something that just seemed natural to do.

He imagined being a part of his own adventure story, at a time she feared for the worst. He was just as afraid, and they both cried together in the darkness surrounding them, save for the bright blurry orb of orange and white above them both. From that orb came a small voice who shouted for them to hurry, and together, he and Hikari ran together, holding their hands tightly as they did.

"Yo… 'Keru? Are you alright?"

Takeru realized Taichi was looking at him with suspicion once again, although, this time, Hikari was next to Taichi, looking on with concern. Takeru shook his head, massaging the back of it.

"I'm alright," he said—at least, he hoped he was.

Any recent Taiyama fics you'd recomment?

I will preface this by saying that this year has been interesting for me with fics. I had been writing on and off, and fairly recently I’ve gotten back into reading fics more. When I have more time, I’ll update my Digimon Reading Lists, including the one I have for Taiyama One-Shots!

I did not think that I would have much to recommend, but here we are ;) I truly, truly hope I get to read more in general, but here’s what I got for the time being.
