Why don't the Hogwarts Quidditch team have reserves?

I mean, the Gryffindor team lost a lot of the time simply, because Harry was unconscious.

Is it a rule?

They mention in the first book that a really long game went on, and they had to bring in new players. Were they talking about professional teams? The Hogwarts teams have never indicated they have reserves. In fact, their whole workings are subject. Why aren't there tryouts every year? Is it just whatever the team captain decides and if he's happy with his team, there are no tryouts? Was Harry just never invited?

I guess it's possible at least in terms of reserves, the Hogwarts teams don't have them in hopes the games end faster and don't disrupt classes, but... these are the questions that concern me.

So i don’t often go on about Harry Potter. But lately i’ve been thinking about quidditch rules. Two things i just can not figure out are:

Are you allowed to non-magically disappear that you’re just really good at hiding and being unsuspicious.

Are you allowed to hold the snitch and not immediately show it when you catch it by the aforementioned rule.

So when no one notices you catch the snitch, are you allowed to keep it on you and show it whenever you want? Can they even check if you do? Because if there’s no rule against that you can fuck some shit up.

You could disappear in the beginning of the game. Catch the snitch without being noticed. Wait until your team has more points/enough points so you can win. Then when you are in a lead you can just slide by the other seeker like “look what I have, bitch” Or when you are on the verge of seeing your score turn into something stupid like 150-0 so when you’re at 140-0 you just go like “Look I have the snitch!” And you’d still win.

I kind of need to know this…because this would make a great quidditch strategy. The other seeker would be seeking their arse of and you’d just be there like “ahah bitch, i’ve already won.”
