Were the Saja Boys already a band or did they go full blown Demon Idol?
Thanks to everyone who has applied to join the ASR team!
We're still looking for any pencilers, inkers, and colorists who'd be willing to help out!
In addition, for those planning on applying as a writer, we have a few new guidelines for you to follow!
For writing tryouts, please send us a comic script around 5-8 pages long. The story must primarily feature characters canon to the Archie Sonic Post-Reboot series, and taking place in that specific continuity. A sample script can be provided if needed.
We will be judging scripts based on the quality of the story, characterization, readability, grammar, and technical performance. We also want to tell how well you understand the Archie Sonic Reboot world and can accurately write for it.
Tryouts will remain open to allow everyone to submit under these guidelines. Remember to send in your submission either on our discord server or email. And let us know if you have any more questions. We look forward to seeing what you all make!
Fuck this, I’m attending the tryouts tomorrow anyway..

highschool volleyball is the most unnecessarily toxic and competitive sport ever be so fr.
so here’s my tips for tryouts, as someone who played for three years (i quit.)
highschool sports are more competitive, especially if your school is one that places a lot of emphasis on athletics. if you’ve never played before, you definitely have less of a chance of making the team, since in highschool they’re looking for members with a certain skill level (especially if you have a feeder middle school/lower school team).
you need to know how to pass, overhand serve, and set. that underhand bs is not gonna pass in highschool. if you’re less proficient at one of these, it’s alright but if given three chances, you need to be able to complete the skill half-way decently at least one in three times.
if you are a freshman, you may be able to join even if you’re not as good. because most teams will want to train players to be better as they get older.
please, please, please do not be an entitled bitch. this will be so much more fun no one inherently hates someone else for no reason.
don’t be afraid to get on the damn ground. you got those knee pads for a reason, boo. even if you don’t get the ball you dive for, the coaches will note that you tried. they will take into account the fact that you can and will chase after a ball. (i had a major problem with just watching the ball hit the court.)
i cannot stress this enough: call your balls
please, please, please, please, please for the love of God do not be that one girl on the court who will either:
call a ball and watch it fall in front of her
go for the ball someone else has called
not call balls at all, ever, and crash into people.
say “mine” and go for it. that’s it. i swear it’ll be the best decision you ever make.
stay low when you pass, follow through when you hit, and have a good attitude. coaches might take you just because you have a learning spirit and are willing to be taught.
most importantly, have fun! you play better when you enjoy yourself.
if i feel like it (or someone asks) i’ll put out a guide specifically for one skill (like hitting/setting/passing etc)
good luck.
When I'm literally the leader of my own team 😅
