The exhibition takes place in the elegant Palazzo Maresgallo in the heart of the historic center of Lecce, a few steps from the magnificent Piazza Duomo. This will be the first exhibition in the Temporary Gallery which opens in the halls of this sixteenth-century historic Palace. After a long restoration by Miriam and Lionel Gazzola, collectors of Contemporary Art.

FYI, art made for print should be made in CMYK color space, not RGB. Things can look pretty wonky, otherwise, when they’re printed.

That's actually a very complicated topic. I think a lot of schools still teach folks to do things in CMYK and I'm not sure that is best anymore. 5 or 10 years ago I would probably say CMYK all the way, but now that media is published in multiple forms it doesn't make as much sense.

Modern inkjet printers actually do a very good job of translating the sRGB color space. Since it is the color space used for the web, they have put a lot of R&D into sRGB conversion for printer drivers. As long as you have a decently calibrated monitor, you can get good results using sRGB with a modern printer.

Working in CMYK requires monitor calibration, printer paper calibration, and a critical eye for soft proofing. It's almost an art form in itself. Yes, professional printers can still get the most accurate results using CMYK. If you spend the time to learn that process and the money to get all of the calibration equipment, you can go that route if you want to. But I'm not sure that is a viable solution for everyone and I'm not sure it makes a big enough difference to warrant all of that. 

Personally, I would recommend most people use the sRGB color space. Yes, you may plan to print your work, but even so, almost all digital art gets published on the web as well. Your images will look much better if you start in sRGB. And since sRGB has more colors than CMYK, you can always convert it after the fact if you absolutely need to. I've noticed recently that most online printing services will actually request sRGB files.

If you need to use the CMYK color space, you will already have the knowledge and expertise to know that you need to use it.

And if you aren't very familiar with CMYK, stick to sRGB.

Hey, these are great! Just some advice from a designer, try to avoid hyphenating words in short quotes. It breaks things up and makes them harder to read. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your message. I don’t think I need to follow your advice since I am a graphic designer myself and am definitely capable of choosing the layout and typography I see best fit for a project. For short texts like the ones I post hyphenation and readability shouldn’t be a problem.
