total recall is...an objectively awful movie, but it IS stupidly fun and it’s one of those awful movies that everyone should watch at least once imo

it’s pretty good, yeah. it’s very much a War Movie (not in a bad way tho) which is not my style.

like i really enjoyed watching it but i’m also not dying to go see it again immediately

tbh it kind of feels like a really good adaptation of a dark horse comic series. that’s the best way i can think to describe it

COOL thank you, that’s kind of what i expected. like i didn’t think it was going to be a masterpiece but as long as it’s good enough for one viewing on the big screen it will SUIT MY PURPOSES

ALSO one of my favorite things was in the very beginning, when kirk is back from his failed diplomacy talks and is walking through the hallway and spock and bones simultaneously just POP UP right behind him. it was absolutely perfect.

GOD RIGHT, everybody was just so perfectly in character and in sync from that moment onwards, it was SO GOOD

like i know in the first movie they’re SUPPOSED to be different characters with different relationships, it’s an alternate universe and they were all much younger than we were used to seeing them, and it worked well. but by this point in time they are actually eerily similar to their tos counterparts and oh my god i love it
