Choose your power (downside: no matter what, a vampire is out to get you).
Light Manipulation (the ability to control, manipulate, and attack with light).
Copy Cat (the ability to copy the powers of others, perhaps even steal them).
Animation (the ability to bring inanimate objects to life and control them).
Memory Manipulation (the ability to manipulate and steal memories of others).
thinking more about my Quil x Reader story...
and I'm considering doing a time-skip/Older Quil story that takes place mostly after the events of the series.
Y/N's parents die when she's a little girl and she goes to live with her uncle Charlie, haunted by memories of monsters that she swears killed them, (though the deaths at the camp were blamed on animal attacks). Pale, cold, hateful things with red eyes and sharp, bloody teeth, the result of a traumatized child, the expert's say. She grows up happy and loved, despite the nightmares (and her secret insistence that the monsters are real).
Then the Cullens come to town.
And she runs into something just like that monster in the dead of night, convinced it's just another nightmare...only to see that same something at her school. Just like the others. Pale and cold, this time with golden eyes. When she hears about the tribe telling stories about the newcomers, she goes to Billy Black (Uncle Billy, to her) and tells him everything, from her parents murders to what happened in the road and he in turn tells her about the Cold Ones. And she listens to his warnings, keeps her head down, avoids the Cullens like a plague, luckily moving out for college just before Bella moves in (I think she's maybe a year older then her???) and taking his advice to stay away from Forks.
She stays far, far away, having little to do with the Cullens and Bella and everything else.
Studies hard, lives in Maine (girl literally moved across the country to get away from this), finally feels safe. She goes home for Bella's wedding and every summer/Christmas for Charlie but that's about it...until the night she sees then again.
The monsters that killed her parents.
As though he walked out of her nightmares, he reappears and Y/N does exactly what Billy Black told her to do if this ever happened: run. she drives flies home, rents as a car, and drives to La Push...only to crash into the biggest wolf she's ever seen. And in her panicked, sleep-deprived state, she drags the poor thing into the back of the car and drives to the vet's.
But it's not a wolf she sees when she opens the door.
It's a guy. A giant, naked guy, covering himself with a hoodie she'd tossed in the back, staring up at her with wide, dark eyes until he bolts into the woods.
She's totally lost at this point and goes to Billy in a haze, practically collapsing on the porch. Three days later, when she's rested and told him everything, someone comes knocking on the door. And though she hadn't recognized him that night, Y/N does now...it's Quil. Taller, bigger, looking far older then he should, but still the same kid she grew up with.
"Hey, Y/N, so...we should talk."
Little Thoughts:
The vampire only spared her because he could sense that she was gifted in some way, powerfully so but too young to be useful right now. He considered keeping her hostage and turning her as soon as she was old enough but a younger member of the coven (who might get a redemption arch???) convinced him to let her go. For years they've tracked her and waited for the right time to finish the plan, something they would have done sooner if it weren't for the Cullens coming to Forks and her later connection to them.
Leah was her best friend. When Y/N left, they had plans of Leah following her to Maine and wrote emails/talked all the time until Sam put a stop to it. But even though Leah was ignoring her calls and had blocked her emails, Y/N kept writing them and when Leah finally reads them, it hurts. But it gets better and soon they're closer than before.
Emmett and Quil think the fact that she ran them both over is hilarious. They joke that they're in a club and might get matching shirts. Also, Emmett's been holding onto the whole "hey, you ran me over" thing for YEARS. YEARS!!! and now he finally gets to say something and loves every second of it.
Omg I just read on of your wolf match imagine/response. If your not doing or taking request that totally ok but if your willing I would like a wolf match as well, please.
I'm extremely extroverted and I enjoy meeting new people and I believe it's important to support other people along with yourself. I really want someone who is sweet and is considerate about other people's feelings. Sometimes physical contact can be a lot for me but deep down I do want someone who is fluffy and stuff. I really think that if love and work is put into a relationship that it will become stronger.
Wolf Pack Match-up.
A/N: sorry for the late reply! Writing has been a little hard lately so I’m trying to get my groove back with some match-ups...
“She’s somewhere in the sunlight strong,
Here tears are in the falling rain,
She calls me in the wind’s soft song,
And with the flowers she comes again.
Yon bird is but her messenger,
The moon is but her silver car,
Yea! The sun and moon are sent by her,
And every wistful, waiting star.”
Richard Le Gallienne.
I think that Quil is your perfect match.
An extrovert himself, you can both make new friends and enjoy new experiences together, which is something that he loves! It comes naturally to him, making friends everywhere he goes and you just go right along with him. He’s very much a midnight adventures sort of guy, always willing to run off with you into something wonderful.
The belief in supporting people as well as yourself is something he loves about you.
It leads you to being so kind to the pack (especially Jacob and Embry, who both adore you and like to tease a little bit), packing lunches and baking with Emily or just being there as a shoulder to lean on, someone to talk to. Very quickly, you become a beloved member of the pack. I think that, while Quil loves you from day one, you become friends before you become lovers and a part of that is being friends with the pack. Seeing you embrace them and his strange life encourages him to start taking steps into happily ever after.
You want sweet? He’s the sweetest!
The boy will see you your every need, wish, and whim. You could ask him for the sun and stars and he’d give it to you in a heartbeat...but luckily, you just ask for kisses and he’s more then happy to give you those too!
You want considerate? There’s nobody better!
He’s a very caring person, gentle and always thinking of what you need/think/feel/want. You come first in his heart in all things. While the pack and school take him away from you (something he is quite unhappy about), Quil always returns to you.
Protective and caring, every moment together is almost perfect, just because of how tenderly he loves you.
Quil himself is a very physical person himself, always touching you. Holding hands, arm around your shoulder/waist, pulling you onto his lap, and cuddling with you in bed. And it’s something he likes to enjoy himself, especially back massages (he looooves these), having his hair played with, and when you pepper kisses all over his neck and face.
But he’s also quite the romantic. Quil will go out of his way to show you how much he loves you, writing little love notes, picking you wild flowers, braiding you a promise bracelet, and planning adorable date nights. But the most romantic things about him is how he understands you. Your heart is his heart and he responds to your emotions without thinking, as easy as breathing. He knows when you’re upset and in need of comfort, when you’re angry, when you’re thinking about him and missing him, hell, he even knows when you’re hungry! And you know him just as well, the first person to ever know him and love him like this.
Strong is exactly what he wants this relationship to be.
He’s not just having a good time, Quil is building a life with you. Everyday is another step closer to happily ever after and one day, you’ll get there. You’ll be together in that shining place, finally safe and sound...and he can’t wait for it!
Little Things:
🧡 His mom LOVES you. Quil and his mom are very close and seeing the two of you becoming closer, it just makes him so happy. After one long night of patrol, he’d stumbled home to find you and his mom in the kitchen, laughing and talking, with a plate of food waiting for him...that night, he told her that he loved you and she just about cried she was so happy.
🧡 No one can make you laugh like he can and that’s a place of pride for him! Other guys making you laughing makes him a bit jealous but all Quil needs is reassurance that he’s the funniest/cutest/sweetest guy in the world and he’s all smiles again.
🧡 He always wears a necklace of yours for “good luck” and it is his prized possession in life. This does not negate the need good luck kisses before he goes however.
I’m in love with the way you write for Quil! SM did him so dirty and he deserves so much better :( can you do the relationship headcanons for him like you did for Leah, Embry and Seth?? (If it’s too late to send in requests then disregard, no worries!)
Loving Quil Ateara V.
A/N: damn right she did! But we’re gonna fix him, baby, don’t you worry.
Quil LOVES being a wolf! The power, the pack, all of it is goddamn amazing...but finding you was far better. If anything, it was the best of it.
After all, what could be sweeter then a soulmate?
Meeting you was a mess, in a really sweet way. You’d come down to the beach with some friends, just as the pack came along to goof around. The two groups had joined together, Quil not noticing you at first as you hung back, talking with a few friends, and sneaking glances at him (because he’s so damn cute). But then he heard it, a sweet voice and an even sweeter laugh cutting through the noise and something inside of him clicked. Turning suddenly, Quil saw you there and suddenly, the world was a little brighter.
It was as though the clouds themselves had parted just for you, moon and sun and stars spinning, everything just...revolving around you.
And then Paul slammed into him. Which sent Quil flying into you and the both of you fell together into the water. Rising up from the sea, soaked in saltwater, you only laughed as Quil helped you up, quipping that this was not what you’d meant when you said you wanted to go swimming. He took your hand and didn’t let go...and you didn’t pull away, looking at him with such wonder.
Later he’d noticed a smooth, gray rock on your dresser, an almost silvery oval, and you confessed that it was from the day you’d met, something to remember him by.
He falls for you so quickly...but knows that this is a weird situation, isn’t it? So he takes it slow, gets to know you and allows you to know him. He’s a sweetheart, always smiling and laughing, the personification of pure joy. And you're quickly becoming friends, Quil fitting so comfortably into your life that it’s almost like he was always meant to be there.
And he was, wasn’t he?
Quil is your soulmate, after all, something that was a little...awkward to explain to you. And yet you took it all in stride. Believing it wouldn’t be hard when Jacob and Paul started fighting again and phased in front of you and the soulmate thing didn’t bother your either.
After that, he never left your side.
He was yours and you were his, bound together by the stars themselves. And he was thankful for it, for you, having everything he’d ever wanted.
And yet h cannot help but wish for more, stealing glances at your lips and wondering what it might be like to kiss you, to hold you and close and call you his...Quil dreams about it often, too scared to say a thing but too in love to stop.
Eventually though, it’s going to be clear to the both of you that you are madly, truly in love. So why wait any longer?
You’re the one who starts making moves, cuddling a little closer under the guise of getting cold and holding his hand when he walks you home. And when you lean out the window to kiss his cheek goodbye after a midnight visit, Quil begins to have a little courage. You’ve been dropping hints for AL LOT longer then that so thank god his finally gets it.
So he slings his arm around you and pulls you close, plays with your hair, and starts calling you sweet little names.
Honey, baby, darling, sugar, sweetie!
And finally he cannot take it anymore. Walking away from a bonfire, his hand in yours, Quil knows exactly what he’s been wanting...and you want it too, he can tell from the way you look up at him, stars all in your eyes. Stopping somewhere quiet, you your arms slip over his shoulders and he pulls you closer, hands resting on the small of your waist.
“Hey, honey,” he mumbles softly.
You cuddled closer and press a kiss to his neck, everything changing in that moment, a little sigh falling from his lips in utter amazement. There’s no big thing of it and Quil never actually asks, the two of you brought together officially in the moment and never parting.
The first date is a carnival, loud and bright and fun just like him. The boy goes all out, he wants it to be perfect! Jacob lets him borrow the car (after a long lecture about taking care of it and everything else) and he wears the shirt you mention he looked nice in that one time (it’s literally his favorite shirt now).
“You ready, baby?”
“Ready,” you reply as you take his hand.
And you spend all night laughing and goofing around together, eating candy and pizza and Quil winning you prizes. He gives you a three plushes he won (a rabbit, a bear, and of course a wolf) and you take pictures together, those little photo booth sets. You each keep a couple, Quil putting his up on the wall. One day, the entire wall will be covered in photos of the pack and reservation and, most of of all, photos of you. But those will always be his favorites, the two of you so young and falling in love.
After this, the carnival is a yearly tradition for the two of you, always going back to recreate that first date.
Meeting the family is SUPER important to him. Quil met your family first (and charmed them so mush that you joke that might love him a little bit more then you). But you meet his family a little bit later, Quil wanting his mom and grandfather to know the most wonderful person on the whole damn earth. And they very much want to meet you, having heard him talk nonstop about you.
As nervous as you are, Quil assures you over and over again that it’s going to be just fine, actually, it’s going to be great!
“They’re going to love you, Y/N.”
“How can you possibly know that?”
“Because I already love you,” he says simply. “That’s enough.”
And he’s right. They see everything about you through Quil’s eyes and love you right away, just like he said they would. From then on, you are a member of their family, there’s a place at the table for you. He never tells anyone else besides you, but it hurts Quil a little that his dad never just a chance to know you...he’d have loved you too.
Quil’s just the sweetest boyfriend, gentle and funny and loving. The kind of guy that makes you laugh when you thought you couldn’t even smile. Your happiness is a religion to him, he worships it and strives to bring you joy and love.
But he’s never pushy about it, no, Quil understands that you don’t always need that.
It’s one of the best things about your relationship, the way he just knows what he needs to be and becomes it. If you need laughter, he’s got jokes, if you need someone to listen, he’s all ears, and if you’re in need of comfort, his arms are open. He’s here for you, in any way that you need him to be, and it’s the same back.
Whatever Quil needs, you’re there for him...but mostly he just needs you to be there, simple as that. You yourself are a remedy for anything that plagues him.
The love he gives to you is returned to him and given again, over and over…
But heaven have mercy on anyone who hurts you...because he will not. No one hurts you and gets away with it.
Nobody.
If they’re human, well, Quil’s sharp tongued and clever, he can be mean when he wants to be. And if he has Embry to back him up? Oh, you can only imagine the carnage! The two of them can be downright vicious. And he’s not above getting in a fight for you, either, though he won’t be the one to start it really...the second someone puts their hands on you or threatens you, Quil considers that starting a fight.
And if they aren’t human?
Then they’re fair game as far as he’s concerned and he’s going to tear them to pieces, Jacob and Embry right alongside him as he goes to war for you.
It’s actually terrifying, even a human, seeing the shift that comes over him. Grin sharper, eyes crueler, he’s barely even the same person in that moment. And you’re the only thing that can calm him down when he gets like that, saying his name and pulling him back out of the cloud of anger. Quil is reluctant to shift in front of you but will if you ask him to. And if you accept him? He’s so much more in love with you, knowing that you can handle everything else.
Embry and Jacob are the first of the pack to meet you, loving you right away. And how could they not???
They’ve never seen Quil so happy (and he’s a happy kind of guy too, so that’s saying something) and the love that they feel from him is so damn sweet and pure. He’s their best friend and brother at arms, if he loves you, they love you too.
Plus you tend to fuss over the three of them.
They lowkey love it, feeling more like dumb kids again. And after being forced to grow up and go to war, they really need that, all of them, even if they won’t ask for it. So worry over them and fuss over them, let them know that you care and that they are safe with you.
Bonus points if you bake and cook for them, they’ll never leave your house.
The whole pack loves you, though you’re much closer with the Black pack. One might thing his best friends are your favorites but, no, while you do love them both, you’re actually closer with Leah. She gained a friend through you and Quil has seen a sweeter side of her. It makes perfect sense to him that you were the one who brought it out, you just make the whole damn world better!
He feels guilty that he can’t buy you nice things...so show him that it doesn’t matter. After all, you never asked for any of that, did you?
It’s just that he loves you so damn much that he WANTS to give you nice things but knows that he can’t afford them. Everything he has is secondhand, his clothes and his car is older then he is and pieced together from used parts, and most of the gifts that he gives you are handmade or small, stuffed animals and things.
But you love them, all of them.
The bracelet he made for you, the little notebook he filled with pictures of you and little love notes, the dream catcher and the stuffed animals. You LOVE these things so be sure to tell him that, letting Quil know that you need nothing else, nothing but him.
“Quil, I just wanted someone to love me, I don’t need anything else.”
He’ll believe it, one of these days. One day, when he’s a little older and a little wiser, Quil will look back at this time and just smile.
Really loves cooking, especially with you. It’s just nice, the two of you in the kitchen, cooking and baking together. Quil is a pretty great cook (he grew up helping his mom in the kitchen, they love cooking together, she wants to cook with you too...food is a love language in this family, so I hope you like to eat) and wants to share that with you.
So get him an apron, turn up the music, and make a date of it!
He’ll learn to make your favorites and make them forever, especially if you’re having a bad day.
Some of his favorite memories with you have been in the kitchen, singing along (terribly) to music and baking.
It feels so safe and warm and bright here, the two of you cuddling on the couch, covered in flower and cinnamon. There’s nothing, nothing but you and him and that’s the way he wants it, pressing another flour-covered kiss to your cheek. Side note, he LOVES bacon (and everything with it) so make it for him, it always puts him in a good mood.
Quil’s Baking Playlist: Mr. Jones (Counting Crows), I’m Yours (Jason Mraz), Save Tonight (Eagle Eye Cherry).
Quil is SO much smarter then anyone gives him credit for...except for you. You seem him as he is and build him up and he loves that!
The way you believe in him, thinking so much of him.
You’ve got him feeling like Superman, like he can do anything as long as you are with him and believing in him. He’s feels strong with you, and braver then he ever could be. But he is brave, you tell him. Quil is brave and intelligent and amazing, simply amazing, there’s so much about him to adore. If he saw himself then way you see him, he’d have an ego the size of the sun!
So you give him credit for everything.
His hard work, his great grades, his devotion to the pack and nights spent out patrolling and protecting everyone. A big turning point in the relationship is Quil realizing how much you really do respect him, not just like him or love him or think that he’s cute/sweet/funny, but actually respect him as a person. It’s huge for him and the relationship becomes at lot more serious after that, Quil wanting to be the kind of man worthy of such a thing.
And he is, he’s more then worthy of your adoration and respect. The rest of the world might not see him but you do.
It’s only after meeting you that he learns to truly fear the wolf within, realizing that you could get hurt. Even if you’re the most important person in the world to him, Quil could still be the one to hurt you and that fucking terrifies him.
He loves you so much.
But he knows that he’s the monster in the woods and fears what can happen if he loses control of himself for so much as a second. He’s had nightmares about it, you all bloodied and the beast standing over you, slowing changing into a heartbroken Quil...it takes him a long while to confess the truth about them.
So you’ll notice him being delicate with you, especially what he’s already emotional.
It’ll take some time but soon Quil will learn to trust himself. It’s your trust and belief in him that makes him believe it a little bit too.
“It’s okay, Quil, I love you.”
And one day, you’ll meet the wolf.
It will be later into the relationship, at least a year, and you’ll have to ask. If he has ever shifted in front of you before that, it was involuntary and when you were in some kind of danger. Actually choosing to show you the wolf is a huge deal for Quil, he’s so worried that you’ll be scared of him...but you’re not. Because the wolf still has his honey-brown eyes and you still trust him, reaching out to stroke his face softly.
He’s the first one to say it: I love you. Here’s the thing, though, he doesn’t even remember saying it, like, at all.
There had been a battle and Quil, trying to protect Embry, had been hurt badly. And when they brought him home, you refused to leave his side at all, holding his hand and silently praying that he’d be okay. The meds kept him out for a long time but once he starts coming to, Quil is loopy and half dreaming the whole time.
“Baby…?”
You’d fallen asleep, head on his chest and hand in his, only to snap wide awake at the sound of his voice.
“Quil?” you whispered. “Oh, Quil, honey!”
But he’s just smiling at you, all dreams and sweet things, as you kiss his hand and thank god for giving him to you.
“I love you, baby...”
For a second, you thought you might have heard it wrong or that he was only dreaming. But before you can say a damn thing, he’s saying it all over again, mumbling so much that you can barely understand him at all.
“Love you so...so much, baby, I love you...”
And then he’s out again, leaving you smiling. When he’s awake and himself, you’ll tell him all about it and that you love him too, Quil smiling like an idiot in love. After that, the two of you say it as often as hello and goodbye, maybe even more.
There’s nothing more he loves then running away with you. It will happen randomly, Quil appearing and asking you to follow him. And you do, you always do, no questions asked as you take his hand and run far, far away.
A little seaside town, just walking along the beach. He gives you a seashell that you keep forever and ever, right beside your bed.
Paths through the forest that no one knows as well as the pack does. There’s a little place he likes to go, a sunny little meadow full of white clover and butterflies. It’s always been a place he hides but he loves it even more hiding with you.
And sometimes you go nowhere at all, driving and driving as music plays and his hands rests on your thigh.
He’ll stop somewhere eventually, a quiet little corner over looking the sea and stars and sun. There he’ll stay with you, pretending that tomorrow will never come and that he doesn’t have to leave you, not now and not ever.
There’s nothing but you and him and the stars, Quil closing his eyes and holding you tight.
This, he thinks, must be what heaven is like…
He sees you playing with some of the packs little cousins one day and suddenly realizes...he wants kids. Holy shit.
It was kind of always there, in the back of his mind, a fantasy.
But he never really thought about it until in that moment, it becomes so much more real, something he longs for. A yellow house and laughter, sunlight spilling through the window and music playing...him and you and a baby with your eyes and his smile and crown of curly hair.
Quil Ateara VI...wouldn’t that be something?
One day you’ll be holding Emily’s baby and catch him smiling at you, a dreamy little smile on his face as he watches on.
“Quil? What is it?”
“Nothing, honey,” he says softly, standing up.
He’ll put an arm around you and look down at the baby, imagining the day he’ll have his own little one with you. You might think him a little silly in the moment, but say nothing, just rocking the baby as you hum a little lullaby. One day he’ll tell you about those dreams and everything he wants for the both of you, the little yellow house and everything else.
Quil calls you any sweet little name he thinks of: Honey, baby, darling, sugar, sweetie, all of it and more.
There’s not just one nickname, not really, unless it’s some variant of your name.
He’s the only one who calls you this specific nickname (and you’re certain to correct anyone who tries to use it too, something he kind of loves because, hey, that’s HIS place) and he mostly uses it when the two of you are alone and he’s feeling a little sweeter and a little softer. Lips linger on your neck as you sigh and fall into him, hands up your hips keeping you close.
“Quil...”
That’s what he likes to hear from you.
Nicknames are sweet and he likes them but he LOVES the way you say his name. It’s sweet as honey coming from you and a dream come true, Quill kissing you all over just to hear you say it again and again.
“Come ‘ere, baby.”
“Quil~”
He’s got a habit of doodling, not really thinking about it, and you’ve got a habit of keeping the little scraps of paper. It’s just little stuff he does without thinking and he doesn’t even realize that you’ve been keeping them until later.
Once he does, Quil will start leaving you notes and little drawings just to see you smile.
He gives you a locket at some point and within it, you’ll put two things: a picture of you (one of the photo booth pictures from your first date, Quil’s arms around you as he kisses your cheek and you smile so bright) and a little drawing, a little moon surrounded by constellations. Every so often you swap out the drawing for another, scribbled things and little love notes.
He loves that about you, the way you find so much joy in just about everything. It means so much to him and sometimes he will specifically draw something “for the locket” just to see you smile.
The only vampire you ever meet is Esme because she’s the only one he trusts enough to be near you. Everyone else needs to back the fuck up (especially Jasper, Quil does NOT trust him within a thousand feet of you and it fucking shows).
And she actually likes you quite a lot and especially like Quil with you.
It’s so clear he’s in love, the way he brightens when you enter the room or call his name from afar, that brightness fading just a bit when you leave.
You meet her once or twice on occasion, purely by coincidence and never staying around very long. Esme gets the idea that Quil doesn’t want you too involved with this aspect of his life and she understands that, respects it even. It is, after all, in his nature to regard her an an enemy, even if he likes her as a person. If anything, she’d have been surprised if he didn’t feel that way.
Those little moments she knew you were enough to prove the truest of loves, something she’ll always remember.
It’s something of a fairytale.
You kissed him first. He had left to hunt, not returning for so, so long. But when he did, you were waiting for, window open to the summer air.
Rustling came from the forest, something moving quickly through the trees. And you knew those heavy footsteps at once, rising from the bed and listening carefully, quietly. The heavy pounding of paws in the dirt became gentler, something moving a little more slowly as it broke free from the forest.
“Y/N!”
Quil clambered through your window, nearly falling halfway through it but steadying himself. He was tried and torn up, cuts all over his skin and blood smeared, leaves tangled in his crown of blackest curls. But in the moment you thought him beautiful and through yourself into his open arms, Quil pulling you into a kiss without thinking about it.
But you’re kissing him back with a passion that matches his own, falling into the tangled sheets together.
He stays the night and keeps on kissing you, totally drunk off of this. There’s nothing like this, nothing in the world could be as sweet as your lips. The moment you kissed him, Quil was lost to the world and it takes him a long while to find his way home, stumbling back with a big, dopey smile on his face and love in his eyes.
After that he never stops kissing you. Ever.
It’s the first thing he does when he sees you and the last thing he does when he has to let you go. From that very first kiss, Quil has been certain that paradise is hidden within your lips and nothing could ever prove otherwise.
When he kisses you, everything feels so perfect, blissful even...so he kisses you as often as he can, taking shelter in your lips.
Quil’s kiss can jump from playful to sweet to deep and passionate so quickly but it never stops being wonderous. He kisses you everywhere; your neck and jaw, the valley between your breasts, your thighs and wrists and everything else. And you don’t mind it at all, loving his love as much as he loves giving it to you. The pack likes to tease you both, just a little bit, noticing how he’s always touching you and kissing you.
“Aw, here come the lovebirds!”
But you don’t care at all and you keep kissing him, ignoring the jeers and teasing as you fade into his lips...Quil’s a little bit of paradise too.
Quil likes to spend the night with you. It’s perfect right here, the two of you cuddled together in bed. And his mother doesn’t mind you staying over, knowing how much comfort you bring him (though they did have a very long and very awkward conversation about it).
So more often then not, you’re at his place and waiting for him.
He’s got a routine when he gets home, showering quickly (and he kinda wants you to join him, just to hold you and love you a little) before grabbing a pair of sweatpants and climbing into bed. Quil likes to be the big spoon most of the time (but needs to be the little spoon when he’s upset, place hold this man), wrapping his arms around you and keeping you close all night long.
Sometimes, all he needs in the world is something like this, laying back on the pillows and holding you tight. If it’s been an easy night, he’ll want to watch a little TV with you (his favorite show is Psyche) before falling asleep, typically right before they catch the killer.
And waking up with you?
Quil wakes you with a flurry of messy, sweet kisses pressed to your neck, always rising a little before you do somehow.
Little Known Quil Facts:
He’s claustrophobic (the fear of tight and enclosed spaces). It’s something he’s embarrassed about but you always make it better. Apparently, when he was about two, Quil somehow managed to get locked in the basement closet for about an hour and just never really got over that.
But you never make fun of him, something he appreciates.
Because he doesn’t have to be strong with you, not all of the time. With you, Quil can be weak and he can need you as much as you need him. That being said, he’ll always return the favor. It doesn’t matter what makes you uncomfortable or afraid, Quil is going to be right there to help you through it every damn time.
Scared of spiders? He shoos ‘em outside.
Heights? He’ll be the one who does all of the “tall” chores in the house.
The dark? Nightlights in every room.
He takes care of you and you take care of him, the two of you coming together in just the sweetest of ways.
There’s a little, somewhat blotchy heart shaped birthmark on his stomach. It’s right there, an inch or so over his belly button, and he didn’t like it much until you came along. Sometimes you kiss it and he loves that, butterflies in his stomach just for you.
It’s a little game you play, starting at the mark and kissing up, up, up his chest and neck until you reach his lips.
“Y/N!”
He’s laughing and singing sweetly at the touch of you, hands in your hair and pulling gently. He wants you higher and on his lips but you’re teasing him, baby, being so mean and taking your time as he whines and begs for more. Quil lives for this, your affection. He’s a deeply affectionate man and needs moments like this as often as possible, almost begging for your lovin’. And you’re more then willing to give him anything and everything,
In a crazy world, this is his clarity:
You and him cuddled up and kissing him over and over and over again.
Because eventually, you’ll stop playing and start kissing him the way he wants you too, Quil’s mind all honey and roses and thoughts of you.
He keeps a cluttered little box, something that just seems like junk. But you ask about it and discover that it is so much more then that. It’s full of memories that’s collected overtime, everything little thing about you.
A rock picked up from the road he took when he walked you home.
Daisies pressed from the flower crown you made him.
A receipt from the first time you went out to eat together and so much more.
It’s all just little stuff but he loves it, looking through all of it from time to time. The button from a jacket you pulled off while making out, little rocks and pebbles and shells, a bit of sea glass from running off and spending the day with you at some beach. Point to any little thing, and Quil can tell you when he got it and why he kept it.
From Quil, it’s proof rather than junk.
Proof that, despite everything the pack has been through, something wonderous came out of it. He has you and that’s all he’ll ever truly need.
Quil’s not some happy-all-the-time funny guy, there’s more too him then that. And you’re one of the few people that notices that.
He’s intelligent in many ways, book smart and people smart. Smart and clever and kind, Quil has this quiet way of taking care of others, just slipping in to handle something without anyone even noticing at all. He doesn’t need a thank you for it, just wanting to show people that he cares,
But you notice.
And you take care of him too, taking a little of the burden off of his shoulder’s and teaching him that he can come to you with anything and you;ll just be there to take care of him. No judgment, no complaints, just him and you. It’s so sweet and, at the very least, Quil knows that he can be more of himself when he’s with you. He’s one of those rare people that was just born pretty much happy but he needs more then that.
Quil needs to be understood and cared for and you care, you care about him more then anything else.
So let him rant and vent and just be with you, not be happy or be funny, just...be Quil. The fact that you want such a thing is pretty amazing to him.
He gives you a locket and you give him a matching set of rings. It’s the first anniversary of the day you met and, without discussing it, you both wanted to celebrate it.
After all, it’s a pretty big deal, finding your soulmate.
So he bought you a little locket, a bronze oval with a moon etched into it. Opening it up to reveal the two of you smiling together. And you bought a set of bronze rings (the fact that you picked the same metal was sort of perfect), one word carved on the inside of the bands:
Forever.
Quil came over with that sweet, love-drunk smile on his face, telling you to turn around and close your eyes before he places the locket around your neck.
“Wait, wait, I got you something too!”
You place the ring on his left middle finger and there it remains, Quil rarely taking it off. Sometimes he just looks at it, eyes all dreamy as he imagines wearing wedding rings and everything that comes with it...the two of you come together perfectly without even trying to, loving each other so naturally.
This man gets a tattoo for you. He wanted to get your name but you refused it, instead bringing down a shoebox of all of the drawings you saved and picking your favorite one:
A little scarp of stars with a comet shooting across them.
He’ll have it done on the side of his ribs, a little bit of starlight spilled there, and you love it so much. Quil actually really likes tattoos and wants to get more (Jacob as well, and Embry might get one), always wanting to know which designs you like best. One day he’ll be sitting on the couch as his kids “color Daddy” and add their own little works of art (he’ll get one for each of them, a little drawing they made for him), Quil grinning like a wolf all the while.
In the end, you have two favorites:
The first one he got for you and the one on his collarbone, asking you to write the message for him...I love you. Once it heals, you make a habit of kissing in quite often as he loves it, grinning as you kiss him sweetly again and again
There’s always music and there’s always dancing. It’s his favorite thing to so, dancing with you. Forgetting everything else, he turns up the music and dances with you.
Sometimes it’s rather silly, the two of you running all over the house, laughing along with the music and dancing like idiots. You collapse together in a hire heap, hearts racing and smiles so bright, as he starts laughing again, rolling over to kiss you.
And sometimes, it’s romantic.
The song is slower, sweeter, and Quil is looking at you in wonder as he pulls you into his arms to dance with him. This sort of dance ends with a deep kiss, the kind that leaves your mind hot and hazy, totally lost in him.
It’s not a bad place to get lost in.
After all, Quil’s arms are the safest place on earth and, if nothing else, you get to kiss him all over again…
He loves to hear you laugh and he loves the sound of your voice. It’s his favorite thing on earth.
From that very first day, Quil has devoted himself to your joy, striving to make you the happiest woman on earth. And you are, you truly are, but he always feels like he can do better and make you smile and laugh a little bit more.
Some people want to be rich, others want to be famous, but Quil?
All he wants is to be worthy of you. So he’ll do his best to be the kind of partner you need him to be, even if it’s just as simple as making you laugh and smile (fun fact! Quil is not jealous, hell, he’ll be amused if another man flirts with you...but another man making you laugh is going to get him riled up in all kinds of ways).
You might be poor as church mice but you’ll never be unhappy.
Quil cannot stand your unhappiness, accepting that it can’t be stopped at times (and wanting to destroy anything that even remotely upsets you) and that all he can do it love you on the bad days...luckily, that’s more then enough.
And he is worthy of you.
Quil’s incredibly playful, it’s just who he is. He’s always joking and playing games but his favorite is chasing you.
It’s just a little fun, Quil racing through the trees and hunting you down, laughing as he chases you down. He’ll almost catch you a few times, pulling back and only pulling on you a little bit or allowing you to wriggle out of his grasp. But eventually the Big Bad Wolf will catch you and you’ll crash into the flowers together, his lips on your neck as he kisses and bites.
“Quil!”
He’ll play this little game often, chasing you around the house and on the beach but the forest is his favorite place to play.
There’s some so peaceful there, just you and him rolling around in the sunlight and the wildflowers, not caring about whatever else might be out there. Quil leans low over you, lips in an almost kiss as you run a hand through his curls and smile up at him.
“Love you, baby,” he mutters.
One day, he’ll marry you. Quil wants to be your husband, he wants to share your bed and your home and live that happily ever after life with you.
Could such a thing ever be sweeter?
So he’ll rope Jacob and Embry into helping him plan a proposal (it’s exactly the way you dreamed it would be, he knows you so well) and a sweet little wedding, all flowers and fairy lights and true love. But what he’s really looking forward to is this:
A little house with a tree out front, a tire swing hanging from it.
It’s bright and sunny there, maybe a little messy too. The kitchen is always smelling sweet and there’s a little herb garden in the backyard, right by the swing set and the sandbox. He paints the bedroom in your favorite color. There’s another wall of pictures somewhere, your family and everything else displayed through the years. Quil’s old truck sits out front, waiting for another late night drive with just the two of you.
He wants a family, two or three kids (or more if you want it even bigger, he’s not saying no to that), an old dog that doesn’t do much but nap and gruff, and you.
Just you.
Fictober 2022: Anything, Anything.
Fandom: Twilight.
Prompt: “You know I’d do anything.”
Trope: Overprotective boyfriend + Soulmates.
Pairing: Quil Ateara x Reader.
Warnings: light violence, Quil threatens someone.
A/N: just Quil throwing down for his lover, because he totally would (if I finish this series before the new year, I’m calling it a win)!
There was no denying that Quil adored you.
Since stumbling upon his imprint in the most awkward of ways (he literally crashed into you at the beach, sending you both tumbling through the sand and right into the water), the boy had been devoted to you in a way that could never be understood.
But it was real and it was yours.
He had a tendency to follow you around like a puppy dog, holding your hand with adoring eyes and a dopey smile. When he could not come along, he’d miss you all the while, thoughts of you filling the pack’s minds much to their annoyance. But today, to your delight, Quil could come along, the pack finally having a moment to breathe. So he’d be tagging along with you to a friend's party. In truth, Quil didn’t know your friends too well and you had been wanting to change that, wishing to show everyone the amazing person you’d fallen in love with.
“Babe!”
Laughter broke through the cool air as Quil yanked you into his arms, legs wrapping around his hips and hands tangled in his hair as the love of you life kissed you again and again.
“I missed you,” you murmured into his lips.
“Missed you too, baby,” came Quil’s quiet reply.
For a moment you were lost in it, kissing one another so deeply that everything else seemed to melt away. But somehow you came down from the stars, still smiling and holding his hands as you walked towards his old green truck. The truck was older then the both of you and a little junky but you loved it, adoring the forest green paint and the rust spot that looked like a heart. It smelled of mint and ceder trees, a stained glass moon you’d made him dangling from the mirror. Sun caught the colors, blue and violets spilling over his skin as you sat side by side for a moment, music playing quietly.
“Are you okay?” you asked. “Truly okay?”
Quil was quiet for a moment, dark eyes so far away. Sometimes you wondered where he went in times like this, knowing that it was a place you could not follow. You loved Quil, more then anyone else ever could, but you’d never truly understand what it was to be both wolf and boy, to be one of the pack. All you could do was simply be there and love him trough it all.
And luckily, that seemed to be enough for him, Quil taking your hand once more in his, bringing it to his lips for a gentle kiss.
“I’m okay,” he promised.
Rumbling down the road, it wasn’t long before you found yourselves at Amber’s house, the party already loud and wild. Some of the party-goers you knew, others were strangers, her friends from college and their friends too. But Quil, easy going and sweet, was able to fit in so easily, laughing with everyone as though he’d always known them. It was a proud feeling to be the girl on his arm, knowing just how perfect he was. Catching Amber’s eye through the kitchen, she waved you over and you pulled away from your boyfriend, kissing his cheek.
“Hey, I’m gonna get us some drinks,” you shouted over the music.
Slipping through the crowd, you finally stumbled into the kitchen, thankful that it was a little calmer in here.
“Sooo,” Amber grinned, eyebrows raised in interest. “That’s the famous Quil?”
“The one and only.”
She glanced over your shoulder once more, watching as Quil told another wild tale of life on the reservation (leaving out the vampires and werewolves bit of it all), the listeners almost as entranced as you were with him.
“He’s cute!” Amber whispered, her laughter making you grin.
“I know right?”
Laughing and teasing one another in the kitchen, you lost track of time as you caught up. Though you’d been thick as thieves in high school, time had pulled you both in other directions, Amber attending college in New York as you took classes as the community college, spending most of your time on the reservation. But despite the time that had passed, you were still the same people and it was just as easy to talk to one another, lost in conversation. Quil must have come looking for you, you’d thought, a large form coming up behind you and brushing a little too close. Jumping slightly, you turned to jokingly scold him...only to see that it wasn’t Quil.
You had no idea who this was, only that the jackass was a little too close for comfort and his hand a little too low on your waist.
“Hey,” you snapped loudly, shoving him back as you moved away.
But the dumbass clearly wasn’t listening, grabbing your arms and trying to pull you closer as he muttered something insipid and vaguely creepy. Amber was already raising her voice, telling “Luke” that he hadn’t even been invited anyway and to let you go. But before it could get any worse, a familiar voice cut coldly through the tension.
“Get your fucking hands off of her.”
Quil stood tall, without his usual smile and without the sweetness to his voice, looming over Luke with absolute hatred in his eyes.
“Look, man, mind your fucking–”
A fist came flying right into Luke’s face, sending him crashing into the wall. Without missing a beat, Quil grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, dragging him to the back door and throwing him out on his ass.
“The lady told you to leave so leave,” he snapped. “And if I ever catch you with your hands on girl where she doesn’t want ‘em, I’ll break every fucking bone in your body.”
Silence. He stood at the door, still shaking with rage, as you slowly came to his side. Pressing a hand gently to his shoulder, Quil seemed to calm just for you, the anger melting into concern and adoration as you looked up at him.
“You okay?” he asked. “Truly okay?”
“I’m all good, baby,” you promised.
And just like that it was over, Quil turning back to himself. He would later confess that he’d almost transformed right there, held back only by your presence. But you only stayed for an hour more, neither of you feeling like partying any longer. All you wanted was to go home with Quil, something that sounded sweet to you both. So as Quil grabbed your coat and said his goodbyes (already he must have made at least ten friends, been invited to several parties, and had made plans to ride dirt bikes with a few of the others), you talked a little more with Amber.
“You know what? I like him,” she announced. “The way he stood up for you, he looked terrifying. But then you were there and he was all sweet again. He really loves you.”
“I love him too,” you said softly.
And there he was, slipping your jacket over your shoulders and wishing Amber a goodnight as you slipped away together. The night was cold and quiet, a wind slowly whispering through the bare trees. Branches clattered together like skeletons against the night sky, a silver halo around the full moon and a million stars burning brightly. Quil took the long drive home, music playing and a hand lingering on your thigh.
“Y/N?” he suddenly said.
“Yeah, baby?”
“I’m sorry if I ruined the party or something. I just...I got so pissed when I saw him doing that, I lost my temper. But I know that I need to do better.”
“Quil, you didn’t do a damn thing wrong,” you said, hands wrapping around the one on your thigh and squeezing softly. “And he deserved far worse then what you gave him. All you did was love me enough to fight for it.”
“You know I’d do anything,” Quil replied.
“For me?” you asked sweetly.
“You and only you.”
There was no question that Quil would fight for you, to the death if need be. But you didn’t need that. Not here, not now. All you needed was a little quiet and a little love, something he was more the happy to give you. Turning up the music a little, Quil took a detour, knowing you had the time for it and knowing a little spot as well. Here, parked off the road, the trees cleared away into the clifftops, the sky bright and full of stars and the sea crashing calmly below. You moved closer together, hands intertwined and your head resting on his shoulder. Turning your gaze from the stars, you closed your eyes and pressed a kiss to his neck, Quil trembling at the soft touch of you.
Another soon followed, kiss after kiss moving up his neck, his jaw, and finally to the corner of his soft lips.
“I love you,” you murmured softly.
“Love you,” Quil replied at once, “I love you.”
Turning to meet you, the kiss you shared was sweet and gentle, Quil’s hands coming to cup your face and pull you into him. Tumbling a little closer, you straddled his lap and wrapped your arms around him, playing with the thick curls and smiling into his lips. Lips left yours and ran along your neck, biting and kissing as you laughed breathlessly, a giggle turning to a soft whine.
“Y/N,” he murmured.
It was gonna take the two of you a while to make your way home, too lost in one another to make any sense of the pathways...but you didn’t care. You were happy just like this, lost in his lips and love and the stars above.

He’s a Sweetheart
So I’ve had a lot lot lot going on in the past few months. New experiences, love, loss, heartbreak… Which I guess is why I haven’t written in a while. But I finally finished this! Inspired by my own desperate want for a guy who isn’t pressurey about sex.
Quil x reader smut
As always, realistic sex (18+).
Walking through the forest was always peaceful. You knew these trails like the back of your hand, exploring them to clear your head or spark inspiration, and you often journeyed off the path in hopes of finding something interesting. Most of the time it was just trees, maybe a squirrel here or there and some moss if you were lucky. But you imagined that one day you’d stumble upon something amazing. Or at least you always hoped. The world was tricky. Life was tricky. So you often resorted to escapism to cope. Imagining different worlds with magic and beautiful guys who were in love with you… Yeah, you knew it was childish and impossible, but when did that ever stop any dreamer from dreaming?
Today, you wandered back to a small clearing you’d found several months ago. The light peaked through the branches, creating a chandelier effect in the botanical ballroom. Flowers bloomed near the treeline while lightning bugs whisked through the air. In all your life, this place was the closest thing you’d ever found to real magic. It was breathtaking. And in the center of it, lying amongst the tall swaying grass, was your best friend Quil. He must have sensed your presence, as he’d always had a way of doing, and sat up to give you a dorky smile.
“What’s up Buttercup?” he teased. You walked toward him, throwing your bag to the ground and plopping next to him beneath the afternoon sky.
“Rough day,” you huffed.
He pouted at this, raising his eyebrows. “Talk?”
You sighed before accepting his offer. “Daniel and I broke up.”
“What? Why? I thought you guys were so in love…”
“Yeah, well, he admitted that he slept with someone else over the summer,” you explained, attempting and failing to keep your voice from breaking. A moment of silence passed as you thought you felt Quil’s body temperature rise beside you.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” he seethed. “I’ll kick his ass!”
“Quil, I don’t want you to get involved. I just want to forget he ever existed. Can’t believe I spent so much time obsessing over that guy.”
He nodded in understanding, still raging inside over the fact that that scumbag (who he always hated, by the way,) had the audacity to cheat on the most amazing girl on the planet. His best friend. You deserved nothing short of a prince who would kiss the ground you walked on and did everything he could, every day, to make you the happiest woman alive.
“And I guess it is kinda my fault,” you added, wallowing in self-pity. “I never had sex with him. Never felt like it was the right time. So I guess he had to get it somewhere else.”
“Y/N, don’t ever blame yourself. He’s a jackass idiot if he thinks he can find anyone better than you. And you have every right to wanna wait until you’re ready.”
“I know. And it’s not that I didn’t want to, I guess I just had this feeling that once I did, he would leave. But I guess he left anyways so it didn’t even matter,” you mumbled, avoiding his eyes.
“Well if he was gonna leave over something like that then he didn’t deserve you in the first place. You were an amazing girlfriend, you brought him coffee to school, listened to his bullshit problems, stood up for him when he was being an ass to people… You deserve so much more.”
“Thanks, Quil,” you choked out in an effort to end the conversation. Quil heard the break in your voice, though you tried to hide it, and whipped his head just in time to notice the first tear leave your eyes.
“Hey, hey, no, no, no... “ he pleaded as he moved an arm around your shoulders. “Don’t cry for that dick stick. He doesn’t deserve a second thought in that pretty little head.”
You huffed a laugh through the tears at this. “Pretty? Oh, yeah, I’m sure I’m so much prettier than whatever girl he was balls-deep in in July.”
“Y/N, stop it. Literally and honestly, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever laid eyes on. In person, in pictures, in movies… You’re hard to beat. Trust me. And I’m not gonna sit here and let you feel sorry for yourself,” he spoke as he jumped up and offered you a hand. “Come on. We’re going cliff jumping.”
…
“Quil, I really don’t know if this is a good idea. I’ve never gone from this high up before,” you admitted, eyes unable to look away from the steep drop before you that ended in freezing water and crashing waves.
“It’s okay Y/N, I promise. Me and Embry used to jump from here all the time, and in way worse weather conditions. We can go further down if you want, I just figured the adrenaline rush might help you feel better.”
You sighed, looking up and out at the horizon. Daniel always pressured you to take things further. Always treated you like you were weak and worthless and not worthy of his time when you turned down his advances. He made you feel scared, and insecure, and powerless when you said No. Like the slightest offense would break you down and he’d only be standing rolling his eyes. Like you were the burden he kept around for whatever reason.
But here you were, with your best friend who couldn’t be more supportive, 50 feet above the water, ready to jump. You weren’t weak. You weren’t afraid. You weren’t powerless. This decision to jump would be yours and yours alone, and it would be proof to yourself that you were stronger than how he made you feel.
“I’m ready.”
Quil smiled broadly at this, excitement practically bubbling out of him at your new found confidence.
“Do you wanna do it by yourself, or together?” he questioned, completely okay with either option. You thought for a second. Just because you were an independent woman now didn’t mean you couldn’t accept help and support.
“Together,” you smiled.
The huge smile seemed to get even larger on Quil’s face as he approached the edge of the cliff and held his hand out for you to grab. You didn’t look out at the horizon this time, but at Quil’s face as he counted down from three.
“Three”
The beautiful face of the boy who had been there for you through every heartache, every loss, and every hopeless moment.
“Two”
The deep brown eyes of the boy who had made you laugh so hard you couldn’t breathe, on countless occasions.
“One”
Quil. Your Quil.
And you jumped.
The water was numbingly cold. Salt stung in your eyes as bubbles swam up around you, pointing you to the surface. When you breached, you inhaled the most invigorating breath of your entire life. Now that was what living was supposed to feel like. You laughed to yourself, enjoying the new perspective you had on heights, and looked around for Quil. He was several feet away attempting to flick the hair off his forehead while treading water.
“That was amaazziingggg!” you shouted, whooping and laughing.
“Hell yeah, Y/N, you’re a badass!” Quil screamed along with you.
You looked around for the shore, still too high off adrenaline to fully comprehend what had just happened. Quil really was such a gem. You were lucky to have him by your side.
As you both swam up to shore and plopped on the sand, Quil turned toward you to say something, but cut himself off.
“Ya kno- oh, umm…” he averted his eyes quickly.
Confused, you responded, “What’s wrong?”
“Uh, I don’t suppose you have an extra dry shirt lying around?”
At this, you looked down, and finally noticed what the issue was. You were wearing a white shirt. A wet white shirt. With a lacy white bralette underneath that was oh-so-visible. You immediately crossed your arms over your chest in an effort to conceal what Quil had already seen.
“I don’t have anything else,” you said apologetically.
“That’s okay. We can just cut through the woods to my house and I’ll get you a hoodie or something,” he replied, still looking anywhere but at you.
“Okay,” you replied, standing up and beginning the trek to the Atteara household. Quil was several feet behind you, and neither of you spoke much during the journey.
A long 10 minutes later, you arrived at the front porch of his house, taking a step aside so Quil could unlock the door. He held it open for you as you walked in and made a B-line for his bedroom.
“Here,” he spoke as he held out a plain grey hoodie for you. You grabbed it and muttered a thanks as you went into the bathroom to change. All of your clothes were soaked. Shirt, pants, socks. And you didn’t necessarily want to put on a dry hoodie and hang around in your cold wet jeans. His hoodie was big enough to cover your butt anyways, so you just went sans-bottoms as you stepped out of the bathroom and back into the bedroom where Quil had also changed into something dry. He turned to look at you when he heard the door close, but didn’t say anything as his eyes raked your bare legs.
“Quil…. Did you just check me out?” you laughed mockingly.
He flushed red, smiling awkwardly. “I mean, can you blame me? You know I think you’re gorgeous, Y/N. And if you want, I can put some booty shorts on so you can check me out too.”
“Oooh okay hot stuff. Let’s see what you got.”
Quil took this as a challenge rather than a joke and pulled his sweatpants off to reveal a pair of pink boxer-briefs and some very toned tan legs. He goofily faked some model poses and a runway walk across his room as you yelled, “Yesss, work it girl!”
You both erupted into laughter as you fell back on his bed. The hoodie must’ve ridden up, because Quil once again turned silent and looked away from you. You could have pulled it down, but you didn’t want to, faking ignorance to it.
“So are you gonna come sit down or what?” you prodded. He cleared his throat and came to sit next to you on the bed. You looked at him and remembered all that had gone through your head that day. Getting out of a toxic relationship finally allowed you to see what was right in front of you. Quil was sweet, and supportive, and fun, and hot. What’s not to like?
“Hey Quil?” you questioned softly, almost a whisper.
“Yeah?” he answered in an equally soft tone.
A beat passed. And another.
“Have you, ya know, done it?” you waited in suspense, afraid he would find your question inappropriate or embarrassing.
After a beat, he replied, “Yeah.”
“How… how was it?”
“Well, it was with this girl a grade above us. Neither of us really liked each other, we were just doing it to do it. So yeah, not that great. But I hear it’s better when there’s like, an emotional connection and all that.”
“Hmm,” you voiced.
“Why do you ask?” A sigh.
“Because I’m considering doing it just to do it.” A pause.
Quil fully turned to you now. “What? Why? Y/N, you should do it with someone who cares about you and respects you and won’t hurt you. Don’t just throw it away like that.”
“I want to do it with someone who cares about me and respects me… that’s why, I was kind of hoping you would do it…”
The air in the room turned to stone. Neither of you moved, scared to even breathe as you stared into each other’s eyes. Him, to see if you were serious. You, to see if he would agree.
After what felt like hours, he sputtered out a, “Me?”
“Yeah, if you wanna. Or like, if you don’t mind.”
“Why me?” he looked at you with what you thought was awe.
“Because you’re the sweetest boy I know and you make me laugh and… well, I trust you.” Plain and simple. And there was no denying the excitement he felt at the thought of you guys together. Romantically… Sexually…
“I mean, have you really thought this through? I don’t want you to do it only because you’re mad about the Daniel thing and then regret it tomorrow.”
“Honestly, I don’t think I could possibly regret it with you. I know you’ll like, be nice to me during it, so what else could I even ask for?” you spoke confidently.
“Of course I’ll be nice to you,” he huffed a laugh. “I just wanna make sure you’re sure.”
“I’m sure,” you spoke, looking directly into those eyes that you’d grown to love so much.
“Okay, then,” he breathed. Still, neither of you moved. Just looked at each other, waiting for the other to initiate. You were completely inexperienced, so the only thing you thought to do was reach for Quil’s hand and hold it in yours. He laughed lightly at how adorable you were in that moment before leaning down slightly and almost hovering over you, propped up on one elbow.
“Should I… er- do you want me to kiss you?” he asked nervously.
“Yeah, I’d like that,” you answered softly, eyes roaming his face and landing on his lips.
He closed the distance between you, placing the lightest feather of a kiss on your lips, before pulling back and scanning your face for hesitation.
“You know, you can say stop whenever, and we can just play Mario Kart or something. No hard feelings,” he pressed.
“Same goes for you,” you answered with a smile. Quil nodded and leaned down once more, reconnecting your lips, this time in a more passionate manner. He was still gentle and soft, and yet you could feel butterflies erupt in your stomach at the contact. Something you’d never felt with any other guy.
You arched your back in an attempt to deepen the kiss, and Quil’s other hand that wasn’t propped beside your head went around your waist. You began breathing heavily at this, and Quil lightly sucked your bottom lip into his mouth, running his tongue over it before releasing and recapturing your mouth in a heated makeout. Your hands travelled up his broad shoulders and to his face, cupping it in gentle contrast with his hand, which was now grabbing your hip roughly, in a way that made your head spin. After several more minutes of letting the tension build, Quil pulled back slightly from your lips, trailing kisses onto your cheek, then down your jaw, and landing on your neck. He suckled lightly at the skin, biting occasionally and soothing with his tongue. This made you release a quiet sound, somewhere between a whimper and a sigh, that had Quil writhing. Hearing you make any sort of audible response to what he was doing to you made that boy feral.
He began sucking harder at the skin, hands groping your hips and ass, pulling you impossibly closer to him. You felt a slight twinge of pain, before Quil soothed the area once more with his tongue and pulled away, looking at his work.
“Aww, baby’s first hickey,” he giggled, as his previously rough hand came up to gently trace your face.
“Shut up,” you laughed back, if anything grateful that you two could keep being your dorky selves despite the matter at hand.
“Do you still wanna keep going?” he asked casually.
“Now more than ever,” you said as you huffed another laugh. He smiled back down at you, and trailed his hand down your torso and under your hoodie- well, his hoodie- tracing up your stomach before he moved to cup your breast. He watched your reaction as he softly kneaded the flesh, and then brought your nipple into a gentle roll between his fingers, noticing your scrunched brows and heavy exhale.
“Good?” he questioned softly.
You nodded. “Good.”
He then pulled the hoodie material up your body to expose your breasts, and leaned down to take a nipple into his mouth. He flicked it with his tongue before sucking gently, adding more and more pressure. You released an audible sigh at this, arching your back even further into his mouth. One hand went into his hair as another went around his back to stable yourself. You could feel the muscles all along his torso and shoulder tensing, hard and firm and strong. And with every suck of your nipple, a tingle went into your spine, making you even more excited for what was to come.
“Quil?”
He stopped immediately, afraid you were uncomfortable, and scanned your face for any signs that you wanted to stop.
“What’s wrong?” he panicked.
“Nothing is wrong, silly. I was just gonna ask if I could do something to you…”
He stared at you, once again in awe, before asking, “Of course. What would you like to do?”
“I’m not totally sure,” you giggled awkwardly. “Virgin, remember?”
“I know, dork. But you’ve watched porn and stuff, right? Like, you know how it works?” At this, you blushed deeply and looked away.
“Of course I’ve watched porn, I just meant that seeing and doing are two different things, and I’m not really sure what to do first or like how to do anything…”
“That’s okay, sweetheart,” your heart melted at the nickname. “Whatever you’re comfortable with trying, we can try. And I’m here to walk you through it, don’t worry.”
You leaned up and placed a passionate kiss on Quil’s lips. He was so genuinely sweet and caring, and you knew you made the right choice with him.
“Maybe I can like… “ you were at a loss for words. Sure seeing something and doing it were very different. But doing something and saying it out loud were light years away. He looked at you patiently, waiting for you to continue.
“Maybe you can like… what?” he coaxed. You nodded your head no in embarrassment, but instead brought your hand up to symbolize--
“A handjob? You couldn’t say the word handjob out loud?” he teased.
“Not when I’m about to give you one!” you cried out at his teasing tone, covering your face with your hands.
“Heyyy, no, no. Now is not the time to be embarrassed. We’re about to get a lot more personal so don’t get shy on me now,” Quil laughed, in an attempt to make you more comfortable.
You groaned, prying your hands off of your face, before sitting up, forcing Quil to sit up too.
“So?” you asked.
“What?”
“Clothes off,” you ordered, motioning for him to undress.
“Damn, she’s bossy in the bedroom,” he quipped.
“Only when you’re being too slow,” you sassed back.
“Oh, are you getting impatient, little girl?”
You’d never admit what that sentence did to you, but Quil could tell by the look on your face. And instead of laughing and teasing you, he stood up and ripped his shirt off, kneeled between your legs and pushed you back so he was fully hovering over top of you, and kissed you impossibly rougher than before. And it had you writhing. You pushed your hips up into his, only two layers of thin fabric separating skin from skin. You didn’t have much control being on the bottom, but Quil got the message and ground his hips down into yours, eliciting your first real moan of the night.
He kept up the motion, grinding in circles, and felt your eagerness rise. He then pulled his hips away from yours to leave just enough room for his hand to slip down and rub circles over your clothed core. You looked at him expectantly, waiting for the pleasure, and became confused when it didn’t come. Quil noticed your disappointment and readjusted his hand so that his thumb was rubbing now. Still, nothing. You began to worry that something may be wrong with you. It felt so good up until that point. But Quil didn’t seem phased.
“No?” he playfully asked you. You shook your head, anxiety rising at the thought that he may be mad at you. He noticed your concern, and calmly said, “Hey, not everyone likes everything. It’s okay, it happens. I’ve got plenty of other things I can try. Okay?”
You calmed at his statement. He seemed to know what he was talking about, so you trusted him that you’d be feeling good again.
“Okay,” you answered.
“Do you wanna take these off?” he offered, motioning to your underwear. You nodded and sat up, pulling the material down your legs, and then in a sudden burst of bravery, removed the hoodie from your body, leaving you fully naked before Quil. His eyes widened, raking over your body slowly, again and again and again. You began to feel awkward, folding your arms to cover your chest, when he reached out and gently moved your arms back away.
“Y/N, you’re… I mean, wow.” His stuttering made you giggle. Did your naked body really affect him that much?
“Your turn,” you state, motioning at his underwear. Now he looked embarrassed, but still stood up and pulled off the last remaining fabric from his body. He watched as you took in his form. Lean muscles covered his shoulders and arms, leading down to slightly defined russet abs, and then down to… woah. It was everything and nothing like you expected at the same time. Obviously you’d seen a penis before online, but this was Quil’s. And you wanted to explore.
He slowly moved to kneel before you once more, and as he approached, you extended a hand to lightly touch him. He tensed as your hand grasped him, and only watched as you experimentally moved it up and down. You looked up at him as if to ask if you were doing it right, and his response was to put his own hand over yours, adding much more pressure and moving at a steadier rhythm. His eyebrows furrowed as his breathing became heavier. You noticed his eyes focussed on your chest, and felt a swell of pride at the fact that he was looking at you to get off.
“Is it okay?” you questioned.
“It’s amazing, babe,” he breathed, and you once again blushed at the nickname. You inched towards him finally, and held him up as you leaned down and placed a light kiss on the head. Again, you looked up at him for approval. He nodded, a silent plea to continue, when you said, “I’m not sure what to do.”
“If you’re comfortable, you can lick it a little, or try sucking on the tip. Or you can just use your hand if you want, it feels amazing, trust me.” His words gave you confidence, and you poked your tongue out to lick the head of his cock, swirling around the tip.
“Fuck…” you heard him moan to himself. And at that, you took his head into your mouth and sucked lightly. There was a slight salty taste, but otherwise it was just skin. Quil moved a hand to the back of your head, but did not press to make you go any further. You sucked slightly harder and began to bob your head back and forth, just an inch or two, to get used to it. When you looked up at his face yet again, his eyes were screwed shut as he breathed heavily. You must have been doing a good job.
“Okayyyyy, that’s enough of that,” he panicked, softly pulling you away.
“What happened? Did I do something?”
“Don’t laugh, but I almost came. That was amazing,” he breathed. You giggled at his flustered state, but were made all too sorry when he pushed you onto your back and hoisted your legs up over his shoulders. Before you could say anything, he licked a firm stripe up your center, making you whimper. Your legs wanted to close around his head, but he held them open, continuing to lick up and down your core, before swirling around your clit several times and sucking it into his mouth. This felt insane. You were moaning his name shortly after, all but begging him to continue. He repeated this movement, lick, swirl, suck, lick, swirl, suck, until you were panting and moaning, sweat rolling down your forehead.
“Do you wanna go further?” he asked gently, aware of your sensitive state and not wanting to pressure you. “We can just keep doing this if you want.”
“I wanna keep going,” you smiled.
“Okay.”
Quil stood up from the bed, going over to his backpack and fishing out a small foil packet. He tore it open with his teeth (hot) and removed the small rubber, placing it on the head of his dick and rolling it down.
“Do you wanna stay on your back or try something else?”
“Umm, I’m not sure,” you hesitated.
“Why don’t we try it like this, and if you get uncomfortable, we can switch it up,” he responded. You were grateful for his confident decision making at this moment.
“That sounds good,” you agreed.
He kneeled over you yet again, and positioned himself at your entrance.
“I need you to tell me if it hurts, okay? It’s not supposed to, so if it does, I need to warm you up some more.”
You nodded in agreement, and tried your best to relax as Quil slowly pushed his head into your entrance. It felt slightly uncomfortable, but didn’t hurt. He slid a little further in, when you pushed a hand onto his stomach to stop his movements.
“Am I hurting you?” he worried.
“No, just… can you stay here for a second?”
“Of course,” he responded, and leaned down to place the sweetest kiss on your forehead while you waited to feel more comfortable. After a few moments, you started to feel looser, and nodded at him to continue. He pushed in another inch, and then another, and another, until he was fully seated inside you. He gave you another few moments to adjust to his entire length as you focused on relaxing your muscles. You began to want movement, so you circled your hips lightly on his dick. Quil understood and pulled out slightly, before slowly pumping back in. You felt a strange pressure in your abdomen. He did this several more times, and you began to recognize the pressure as pleasure. He then began to pull out slightly further, and push back in at a faster pace, which made your breathing pick up. He really was hitting that spot, and you were soon arching your back once more to feel him even deeper. You let out several moans at the feeling, and Quil grunted an “Oh fuck, Y/N.”
“Oh my God,” you whimpered. The sensation was unlike anything you’d felt before. He picked up the pace again, fucking you harder and deeper.
After several moments of this, the pleasure seemed to transform into a slight stinging sensation. You stopped moaning, and tensed slightly, determined to let Quil finish, but he noticed.
He stopped moving. “Hey, you okay?” You were about to say yes, you were fine, but the vulnerable moment you two had shared prompted you to be honest.
“It’s kind of starting to hurt,” you answered, humiliated that you couldn’t last the whole time.
“I’m so sorry, babe,” he cooed, pulling out of you slowly and removing the condom.
“I was gonna let you finish, though,” you whined as he did this.
He looked you in the face and sincerely responded, “I would never want to keep going if it meant you being in pain.”
You took his face between your hands, touched at his kind words, and gave him a loving kiss, which he returned eagerly. You pulled away and looked into those deep, dark eyes that you loved, asking, “So what now?”
“We clean you up, and then it’s cuddle time, Gorgeous.”
