No for Many Reasons (Quill!Reader x Peter Parker)
You peaked out one of the windows on the ship, noticing new people, you had so many emotions going on at once like most people around the universe anymore. Everyone knew that a war was approaching. What struck you from out the window though? The young teen. He had slightly curled brunette hair and was decently skinny, but you noticed muscle in the arms he contained. Then, you noticed your father referring to the ship and you ducked, hiding yourself from view.
Although, it wasn’t but five minutes, the strangers arrived on board. Including the teenage boy in the red, black, and gold suit without a mask.
He smiled and waved at you. “Hi,” you said a little louder than expected and blushed. The teen boy then followed the other strangers to, what you assumed, was the weaponry and escapes and where they would sleep.
You blushed and looked down at your hands on your lap. “Hey,” Gamora spoke before she sat next to you, “don’t start getting ideas. They’re only here to help defeat Thanos. That’s it, then they’re going back to Terra.” She finished. “But can’t I-” “No, Y/n, for your own safety.” Gamora stated and you nodded in defeat.
It’s been a few days, and you finally got to be alone with Peter, Spider-Man. Tony, Iron Man, said if it was best if Peter stayed on the ship while he was recovering from an injury. You stayed with him, talked about how you knew what it felt like to be stuck on the ship alone before. The conversations changed to his home at Terra and his aunt and his friends and somewhere in the middle, your lips met his. Ooh, how they were soft and sweet to touch. Your hands wandered into his soft, slightly curled, brunette hair while his hands found a spot in your hips to grasp. Your face heated up as he did. Oh how adventurous and brave and passionate you felt. All the butterflies alive in your stomach, but you just felt so happy and right.
“Y/n y/m/n Quill!” Your father. You wanted to cry. You and Peter pulled away from each other’s lips. “Go to your room!” He yelled. “But Dad-” “I don’t want to hear it, go!” Your dad yelled, chest heaving with anger. “Yes Dad,” you whispered loud enough for him to hear and walked to your room with your head down.
Spider-Man blushed and lowered his head when you left. “Don’t you dare try to touch her like that or in anyway possible again!” Quill yelled and marched towards your room.
Tony walked into where Peter sat and sighed before sitting. “It’s alright. He’s just protective.” Tony stated. “You heard it?” Peter asked. “No, he told me. How was it?” He questioned. “We talked and agreed on a lot and she wanted to-” “I meant the kiss Peter.” Tony stated. Peter gave Tony a confused look. “You’re not mad?” He asked. “About the kiss, no. I did way worse at your age.” Tony answered. “Listen, I’m going to tell you now, it’s not a bright idea to get…feelings for her. It’s not like you can bring her to earth with us.” He added. “But she is so different and-” “No Peter. It can’t work out, not in any way. You have to go back to earth, a place that she doesn’t belong to.” Peter nodded, a tear trickling down his cheek. Tony swiped it away before going to his room on the ship.
You sat quietly on your bed as your father stood in front of you. “He is no good! He’s not what you want or need! He will put his life in danger and if you become attached to him, you could get into more danger! No daughter of mine will get in more danger than having me being her father! You will not be allowed to go near him, Y/n. End of discussion!” He shouted.
Another week and a half passed away from the time you kissed Peter, Thanos had died. You decied no longer to obey your father and go to see Spider-Man.
“I am Groot.” Of course someone had to guard the area to keep you from going to see the boy you got your first kiss from. “Please Groot, I need to see Peter. I have to talk to him.” You argued in a whisper. “I am Groot.” He replied. “Of course, it is important! Why else would I see him at this time?” You replied. “I’m am Groot.” He stated. “Exactly, now may I please see him?” You requested. He nodded and moved to the side.
You swiftly moved to the room and saw Peter sleeping. You hated to wake him. He fluttered his chocolate eyes open at your presence. “Hi,” you whispered. He admittedly sat up and patted the bed next to him. You shyly joined. Peter gave you the spare blanket and kissed your temple. “I missed you.” He whispered. You only nodded, the blanket wrapped around your body. “I will the rest for the rest of my life.” Peter added. He rested his head on your shoulder. “You’re going back aren’t you?” You softly asked. “In a few days, yes.” Peter answered. You closed your eyes, trying not to cry. He softly kissed your cheek, “If I could I would stay.” He mentioned. “I know.” You simply stated. He softly grabbed your hand and held it. Peter searched your face before kissing you. “Tell me a story, about Terra, please.” You shyly spoke. He started telling a story, something like ones you heard as child. You don’t remember falling asleep, wrapping your arms around each other.
“I am Groot.” Groot stated loudly at the door. “Shit, Groot, what time is it?” You questioned, waking up quickly. “I am Groot.” He replied, translating to 5:30 AM. “Is Dad awake?” You responded. “I am Groot.” Groot answered. “Thanks Groot.” You said and got up after kissing Peter’s temple. You went back to your room, hiding there for the two following days, obeying your father’s wishes.
On the last day for the Terras, you emerged from your room. You used your strength not to cry as you and Peter waved goodbye to each other. Only a wave.
You didn’t eat that night. You said good night and went straight to bed. You only heard the song, “Ooh Child,” from outside of your door.
