I made it satchel style bc I wanted to try this out and I get really annoyed when my totes slide off my shoulders. This can be used like a tote or crossbody, so the best of both! But I would have made the strap an inch or two longer.

Gay Spaces
A follow up to my earlier reblog about non-bar queer spaces.
As Queer folks are more accepted in straight spaces many queer spaces are endangered. This includes bars and non-bar spaces. On the one hand this is great. Yay! Acceptance! On the other hand, queer folk don’t have queer spaces with their actual families. Additionally, this can also means the loss of a unique queer culture.
I am re-reading Tales of the City. And the culture that was created in the 70s is amazing to read about.
I sing with a queer choir. And while I enjoy the singing part of things (our AD has great taste). It is also nice to be on a space where queer is the norm. Long story short, queer spaces provide a unique place for queer people to be the norm. Many of these organizations are having trouble. Try supporting some of them.
