1st attempt at sawtooth star on left, using 3” squares. To mimic square in a square, all pieced. Sewn yesterday.
2nd attempt on right, top, using 2.5” blocks, 2.5”x 4” rectangles for the flying geese base and a 4”x4” center square. Sewn today.
I really thought flying geese would be harder, but it’s not so bad when you use the rectangle x square piece, then trim.
Next I’ll do an actual square in a square for the center block. I also want to try pinwheels as the center.
