Winged au consideration: Quincy preening Edmond's wings.

YESSSSSSSSSS WINGED AU QUINED YESSSSSSS well, not necessarily ofc BUT LISTEN!! Of course, you can imagine I had to look up info on this so i could properly understand and bask in the glory of QuinEd preening sesh-

SO! I personally think that Edmond is, as always, very diligent when it comes to his appearance, and as such, he takes care of his feathers quite regularly, however... I'm preeeetty sure he gets pin feathers more often than not 💀

To those who don't know what those are: when feathers develop, a thin layer of keratin forms to protect it as it grows; and while it's a totally natural process, their frequency can be affected from different factors. Whether it's due to a bird's young age, molting process, a poor diet or stress for example, that waxy coating can persist, and require preening.

And I guess we're all aware of how much of a workaholic our dear Vice Captain can be, aside from his poor dietary choices (hey, he's working on that, okay?), so…

and. AUGH just. just imagine it! ₍₍⚞(˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)⚟⁾⁾

...wait, you don't need to! Cuz I remembered I got hands that can draw xd

Oh! and another thing to note when it comes to preening is that there are some areas that one should avoid, like the wings, belly or tail. Why? Well, because birds understand that you're flirting with them if you preen or caress those spots, releasing hormones and the like. I hope that explains this reaction, ehehe ↑↑↑

Needless to say, this reaction varies for each type of Winged, but c'mon, I just had to! (ah, please excuse that i kinda forgot Ed's tail and. um. take his clothes as a peek at his SITW outfit(?)

Could we see Edmond and Quincy hanging around the stables? Edmond’s probably taking care of the horses while Quincy is napping on the hay bales. Bonus for any character of your choosing joining them

I tried to do this on paper but it just didn't look how I wanted....so I got a phone drawing app and did it there 👍

Also no secret 3rd character because I didn't have much energy today 😔💔 (unless you count the horse who has quite the character-)

The moment I read this prompt- I just knew I wanted it to be a little silly. (I also couldn't stop myself from accentuating Edmond's behind and Quincy's chest, my apologies 👍)

edmond naturally attracting fireflies and quincy pointing this out with a knowing, amused expression on his face. he just knows quincy was going to say something extremely corny, something like “of course they’re gathering around you, you’re practically glowing”, but he thought better of it at the last moment.

and edmond wants to react and fluster like he usually does, scolding quincy for supposedly teasing him, but he can’t or else he’ll scare the fireflies and other forest animals away. so he just has to sit with his embarrassment while he watches quincy’s expression go from amused to outright smug.
