I often wonder how English distinguishing between “sentient pronouns” (he/she/they) and “inanimate pronouns” (it/its) affects our perception of the world.
I wonder if languages without this distinction foster more care towards the environment.
Animals and plants are usually referred to as “it”. Would we care for them more if we thought of them as sentient?
I think I understand the appeal of believing in God. Someone to listen to your apologies, and to forgive you, even if you cannot apologize to the person you have actually wronged. But an apology to the sky does nothing for that person, even if your heart aches for it to. It is too late and there is no fixing it now. There is no one listening. And there is no forgiveness.

fellas is it gay to follow your emotionally distressed crush back to his hometown and help him fix his family's boat unprompted and accidentally learn the true meaning of love and friendship along the way?
Really just need someone to hug me and tell me everything is gonna be okay...
not to sound dramatic but hearing cherry laugh literally saved my life
i love how everyone at S is like "yeah joe and cherry hate each other they're always fighting🤪" and then they see joe tenderly carrying cherry to safety after yelling his real name and literally sprinting to cherry's side,, they were probably like 😦
not to sound ungrateful but joe should've rocked adam's shit for that one
