Quintavious, my season 22 American Idol, please teach me how to sing!!!!!! I am literally begging!!! His gospelification of pop songs is what I live for. Every vocal choice he makes is so perfect. There are so many breathtaking runs here, but that second to last run changed my life and made me yell!!!!!!!! What in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭

Post-AGT Appearance 304: The Ellen Degeneras Show March 31
Ellen would realize that I and others were shortchanged on her show in September. How to give me a fairer appearance however would be a problem. She rarely lets comics do standups. She wouldn’t want to interview me about any serious matter and navigating through my 7-characters would require more effort than she likes to put into an interview.
In January a staffer would study my early post-AGT appearances and find a solution. I twice mentioned that AGT finalist Quintavious Johnson should play Steve Urkel. They would decide to devote a whole episode to someone promoting the next season of America’s Got Talent and reassemble 2014 contestants, letting me write the script. No one would have to talk to me on the air, my talent gets showcased, and the show has a great ending.
In the first segment she would interview one of the judges and a co-producer. Then 2014 winner Matt Franco would appear, followed by 2 past winners. As each commercial break approached, she would promise a big ending. Then, after the last commercial, it would begin.
(Carl Otis Winslow, played by Micah Christian of the Sons of Serendip, tends to routine matters in his kitchen while Steve Urkel-played by Quintavious Johnson-sings John Legend’s’ All of Me, accompanied by the other three members of the Sons of Serendip.)
Winslow: Urkel! Cut out that noise!
(Enter Urkel)
Urkel: That ain’t noise! That’s me singing All of Me by John Legend. It’s one of the top 10 songs of 2014.
Winslow: Urkel, you know I don’t listen to any song recorded after 1998.
Urkel: Why not 1999?
Winslow: Because of that Jeopardy question what day does the 20th century end. Alex Trebek asked that once a year and I always got it wrong, so I go back one year to be safe. Who told you you could sing anyway?
Urkel: well, there’s this girl that moved in across the street. She’s a great singer and I thought maybe she could use a duet partner.
Winslow; A girl, huh. Urkel, are you finally hitting puberty?
Urkel: You know I’m a pacifist! i never hit anyone.
Winslow: Well, so you were singing with the radio or something.
Urkel: No, I found a little band that needs a vocalist. Come on in guys.
(Enter Kendall Ramseur, Mason Morton and Cordaro Rodriguez)
Allow me to introduce the Sons of Serendip.
Winslow: You guys look familiar. So you think Urkel can sing.
Ranseur: We know he can.
(Mara Justine starts singing Unbreak my Heart off camera)
Winslow: Who’s that?
Urkel: That’s the girl.
Winslow: And that’s my kind of music, Toni Braxton, mid-90s. Unbreak my Heart, right.
Urkel: Do you want to meet her?
Winslow: Sure, bring her over.
(Exit Urkel.)
Ramseur: So, do you play any instruments?
Winslow: I’m really good with drumsticks.
Ranseur: Really? We could use a drummer.
Winslow: I mean on turkeys!
(Enter Urkel with Mara Justine, Emily west and myself playing her parents.)
