The packaging on a pair of New Lady Stockings, which were the line of stockings that the Aristasians sold in the late 90s after somehow getting involved with a company that manufactured vintage style stockings on authentically vintage machinery. This particular pair is fishnet, which is unusual for them, as usually they were the classic seamed stockings. Of interesting note is the many references to Aristasia and Aristasian beliefs on the packaging. The use of the word "real", the implication of a feminized future, the reference to Maryhill (which was, apparently, just the infamous Miss Martindale house) as well as Quirinelle. To say nothing of the BM Elegance address and aristaisa.org elektraspace address on the back. This can occasionally be found on the UK ebay, as they seemed to be widely purchased by outlanders who also happened to be stocking enthusiasts.

Infra-Quirinelle is sort of strange place in the world of Aristasia. It represents the first handful of years of the 1960s, before the Eclipse or Telluria's counter culture change that began to happen with The Beatles, social revolution, and the Hippie movement. In Aristasia Pura, its represented by an island off of Quirinelle. Depending upon which map you are viewing, this is either an island in the Golden Sea, or The Void. It seemed there was a little bit of rebranding and rewriting of history of Infra, post Bridgehead, where they tried to not only change the name, but imply that "Infra" is a disparaging name. You can view some conversations about that in this old blog post here. Here are some choice quotes: "It is worth noting that one of the ancient names of what is now Infraquirinelle (i.e. Lower Quirinelle, the island off the western Quirinelle coast) was Isle of Sapphire, though through a chain of sad incidents in a relative recent century caused the somewhat disparaging ‘infra’ to be in a preferred use by mainland dwellers." It is interesting to note that "Lieutenant Fiona Gregoire" is the infamous Miss Iris, who later went on to criticize the weeaboification of Aristasia and then later went on to form an independent filianist group. Here she seems to have an authority on Aristasian Pura geography, and Miss Sushuri Madonna defers to Miss Gregoire's knowledge on the subject, which is interesting because usually Miss Sushuri is one of the only ones allowed to "invent" Aristasian lore, along with the woman also known as Miss Martindale. However, this information about the island's "ancient" name was available on the Aristasian website, so perhaps Miss Gregoire is just repeating that same information, and wasn't an originator of it.

Or at least, this is what it appears, to a Tellurian tourist like myself.

Source The term "Culveria" seemed to pop up out of nowhere in 1997/1998 in the Cocktail Bar forums. One day they were saying America or Pit-America, the next one girl is using the term Culveria. It's interesting to note that this mod describes Culveria as "a continent of Aristasia" meaning it's a distinct place, different from the map you generally see of Aristasia! But it seems like they waffled back and forth on this topic in later times, and eventually later settled on a bit of mystic mumbo-jumbo that answers nothing when asked "What is Culveria?". However, in the 1990s, it was clear that when they said "Culveria" they meant the Aristaisan embassies and districts set up in the homes of American girls.

What is Babycham?

I've seen "Babycham" pop up a handful of times in the old Aristasian forum archives, and for a bit I thought it was just Aristasian lingo, until I decided to google it on a whim and found out that it was an actual alcoholic drink launched in the UK in 1953.

While it may seem like a peak Quirinelle drink, it actually seemed to gain iconic status in the 1st-3rd decades of darkness (60s-80s). It was marketed as a feminine alternative to beer for fancy ladies, and has a cute little baby deer as a mascot. Aristasians may be quick to judge those of us in The Pit for falling for the Octopus's tricks, but they're definitely suckers for cute nostalgic advertisements featuring pretty girls, just as much as anyone else.

Quirinelle: The province of Hearth and Home QUIRINELLE corresponds to the 1950s. It is the province of wide skirts with yards of rustling petticoat and also of the slimmest pencil skirts which make a free girl walk as if she were in slave-rings. It is the province of high pony-tails and innocent Rock and Roll, brunette "cats" and blonde "chicks".

But Quirinelle is also often considered the Province of the Home. Less sophisticated than the other Provinces, many Aristasian girls consider Quirinelle the finest province for rebuilding one's psyche, shattered by the madness of the Pit . Quirinelle films are often considered on the whole more racinating than the films of Trent or Kadoria.

Quirinelle is governed by the young blonde Queen Elspeth, about whom there has been some talk of a romantic attachment to Queen Viktoria of Novaria.

Celestially Quirinelle is ruled by the Angel or divinity Sucri who corresponds to your planet (and Goddess) Venus. Thus it is considered a "blonde" Province and its Sovereign is usually a blonde. Love is found in every Province, but Quirinelle is traditionally the Province of Love. Both Romantic Love and the love that binds families, towns, villages and Nations together in the warm human bonds that are normal in a Real World and are the opposite of Atomisation.

Sucri is traditionally known as the Sister of Thamë, and the qualities of love and bonding are closely related to the qualities of harmony and order. Quirinelle traditionally has a close relationship and friendly ties with Trent.

Quirinelle colours are green and pink; pink being especially associated with the Province. Its emblem is the five-petalled rose (though all roses belong to Sucri and are associated with Quirinelle), five is the colour of Sucri and of Quirinelle.

INFRAQUIRINELLE

Infraquirinelle is a small island off Quirinelle, also known as Lower Quirinelle. It was anciently known as the Isle of Sapphire.

The shortened form "Infra" is used adjectivally.

In Aristasia-in-Telluria, Infraquirinelle is considered to correspond to the Tellurian early 1960s, or more precisely to those elements of the early 1960s which represent the legitimate cultural direction that would have been taken had the Eclipse not occurred.
