Just as quickly as she had put a cigarette out Molly placed another between her lips and lit it up. It was fairly early in the night for people to still be lurking around on the boardwalk, but too late for any children or their to be wondering around. That was good and just the way she liked it.
Vernon, the fat security guard who frequented the boardwalk was close by, keeping an eye on her as usual. From the second he saw her the fat man targeted her for anything he might find her doing that was remotely against any of the rules listed about the Boardwalk. Molly glanced over her shoulder at him, narrowing her eyes while he watched her from his post near the entrance.
“Fat fuck...” Molly muttered then hopped off the railing, walking away and out of his sight. She never did anything that could have kicked her out, at least not anything that he had seen. The shoes on her feet, the coat on her back and the clothes she was wearing had been stolen at the beginning of the summer.
The cigarettes she had been smoking hadn't been paid for either, but it was like her mother used to say. “Its not illegal until you get caught.”. It was probably one of the more sensible things she heard from the woman and Molly stuck by by it.
Once she had gotten out of Vernon’s view Molly found another spot to sit at. The easy ocean breeze brushed against her face, carrying all types of smells. Greasy funnel cake batter, cotton candy, beer and cigarette smoke had been stirred up along with the salty sea air circulated in and out each nostril. It was almost stifling at this point, stronger odors were now presenting themselves. They were familiar to a degree, strong and dominating, similar to Eddies’ but not quite his.
“huh,” She looked around, searching for the werewolf she was smelling now. Eventually she came across a girl standing near by. Molly hadn't minded werewolves or smell. The boys tended to overact when it came to them wondering around close to their proverbial turf.
“Nice tattoo.” Molly spoke up finally, finding there wasn't anything better to do tonight than to reach out and speak to somebody.
