welcome to Hera in Pharloom, aka an offshoot of my main au (Hallownests Continuance) thats basically a 'what if Hornet was gravid BEFORE she got kidnapped to Pharloom, didn't know, and then had her first child in Pharloom', and you can imagine where it'd go from there. This is mostly post-canon stuff, journey back to Hallownest! Hera has herself not only a second mom (although said second mom dont know it yet), but also a self-proclaimed aunt who is in awe of this mini-Hornet of a child. Fun times all around! Hornet needs and deserves a nap. Thankfully she's got folks around her willing to help her in that regard lol Overall, endgame polycule of Hornet/Quirrel/Shakra because Quirrelnet is already established in this au, but, Shakra gets tacked on because she ends up being one of Hornets BIGGEST supports in Pharloom and some feelings develop there but don't go much further then. Thankfully for Hornet, upon Quirrel getting to know Shakra he... HE ENDS UP LIKING HER QUITE A LOT TOO. GOOD ENDING FOR EM ALL! (Gee Hera why do you get 3 parents?!?!) I've written about this au! It's a oneshot MOSTLY centered around that doodle in the top left... and also the one in the top right too technically-- if you wanna read it it is here!

RAHH I JUST READ @moosegoosecaboose's QUIRRELNET FANFIC AND OH MY LORDDD I AM I NFUCKING LOVE!??? The way this fanfic is written genuinely scratches my brain Anyway there's my lil brainrotted doodle of pre-quirrel failed attempt drownenenening The fic is hornet (and quirrel) and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day The song is "Like Real People Do" by Hozier!! yapping about the fanfic under the cut WARNING !! Suicide mentions, Silksong spoilers, and just general me being a fucking maniac about this fic

Okay, so, the first thing about the fic that had me double taking and realizing this fic genuinely wasn't like any other fic was the way Hornet is written. I often find quirrelnet to have really pissy hornet, and I wouldn't say that's exactly a bad thing But man does it kind of overtake her personality a bit? "The pissy one and the optimistic one" is what I see very often. But the fucking DEPTH HERE IS MAKING ME GO CRAZY Quirrel being suicidal, but as my friend poined out Instead of "I hate the world, I want the pain to end" It's more so "My story has come to a close, it's about time it ends." And Quirrel was content with that. But this fic really highlights that this isn't the case, and there's so much that the world has to offer. Greymoor was my favorite part in the fic. The scene of Quirrel sitting in front of the lake, and Hornet watching from the sidelines FUCKING BROKE ME, LIKE MOOSE OH MY GOD ???? It was so beautifully written, + Greymoor's music going on in the background made this actually ascendingly to read. I love when Hornet is thirsting after Quirrel, because like.. girl... listen, I'd tap that too, but that is a BAKED BEAN. When she mentioned his muscles a png of a kidney bean, pillbug, and quirrel's basic standing sprite all vine boomed back to back and I was losing my shit I like to think the reason Hornet hasn't died (Cocooned like ingame) yet is because Quirrel is there. Having two minds on a journey, is indeed, very important. Two heads to run each other's thoughts and plans through the sifter to come out with the best possible outcome P.S that overtalk in the bathhouse where hornet was tryna rizz up the huzz (kill me why did i say that) and Quirrel was just so focused on the machines fucking SENT me
