Sleeping Next to You
Trans Peter Parker fic with a misleading title. Spideypool pairing where wade finds out Pete is trans. –
Peter woke up. He looked around. Shit. Shit shit shit. He stood up wincing at the pain in his chest. He stumbled his way to the bathroom and quickly took off his shirt and binder, breathing heavily.
He looked at himself in the mirror and checked for bruising and luckily found nothing. He hated to have to really look at his chest, he mostly felt disconnected from it, it really wasn’t him. He dropped down to the ground hugging himself tight.
He glanced up at the door he came through thinking of the body he left in the room. How easily he was able to fall asleep next to someone and feel so at home by their side. But there was a problem.
Wade didn’t know he was trans.
Usually Peter was careful. He would try to be wary of cuddling with Wade but ended up melting into his touch instead. Wade was warm and made Peter happy so he let himself give in, but now he was in trouble. He was stuck in a bathroom shirtless and now he was hyperventilating.
Peter couldn’t believe he let himself get into this situation. Here he was sitting on a bathroom floor crying with his chest in more pain than he was used to. He knew he could heal quick and it wouldn’t last long but he was so mad at himself. He tries so hard to safely bind, he even has a special one for the suit.
He was having such a good time with Wade but now he was stuck. He couldn’t tell Wade because Wade would think of him differently. Wade wouldn’t think of him as a guy anymore it would be as a trans guy, or maybe not even a guy at all anymore.
So he just sat there and cried until his chest hurt more and his eyes burned. After awhile, he was out of tears, he felt exhausted now. It was probably three in the morning, Peter guessed. He figured the best idea was to slip out of the apartment and leave Wade a note saying he needed to be home so aunt may wouldn’t be worried.
He was about to stand up when he heard his name.
“Peter?” Wade said sleepily.
Peter didn’t answer.
“Hey are you in the bathroom?” He must’ve noticed the light under the door.
“Peter are you okay? I’m comin’ in.” He said while starting to open the door.
“Wait, wait! I’m not wearing a shirt!” Peter screamed holding his legs tighter to his body, his shirt was too far to reach.
“Pete it’s fine I’ve seen a guys chest before-” he cut himself off when he noticed the binder on the ground. Peter wished he could make himself so small no one could see him. He felt so vulnerable sitting there while Wade just stood in the doorway. He was trying to read Wades face; what did he think? Did he know what a binder was?
“I’ll be right back” Wade said stepping back into his room.
Peter just sat there wondering if he should grab for his shirt. It was white though, not good to wear without some kind of cover underneath and he was still hurting from sleeping in his binder. So he waited for Wade.
Wade came back in, throwing a giant black t-shirt at Peter.
“Here, this is probably better than your white t-shirt. Don’t worry I won’t look” he said turning around and covering his eyes.
Peter looked down at the shirt and back at Wade. Wade didn’t seem to care he was trans. Wade didn’t falter at all really.
Peter put on the shirt quickly, thankful at its baggy-ness. He stood up and grabbed his stuff.
“Thanks Wade, but maybe I should go home.”
Wade turned around, he looked upset.
“Oh uhm, okay yeah I guess it’s late.”
Wade walked Pete to the door. It was quiet. Neither really wanted to leave the other but Peter didn’t know what to say. Really he didn’t want to say anything at all; he wanted to wrap his arms around Wade and tell him how much he appreciates him. And Wade just wanted Pete to feel comfortable so he just went along with what Pete said.
“You know you really don’t have to go” Wade said when they reached the door.
“I don’t know, May might be worried.” He said taking out his phone to see if he had any messages.
“Any crazy texts?” Wade joked.
“No actually..maybe it wouldn’t be the worst thing if I stayed.” Peter gave in.
Wade smiled at Peter agreeing to stay.
“Do you want to go back to bed? Or we could watch a movie?” Wade suggested.
Peter didn’t think he could go back to sleep now, not with all these thoughts going around in his head about what just happened.
“A movie sounds good” he said.
Wade went into his living space and grabbed a cartoon off the shelf and put it in the DVD player.
“Megamind” Wade said. “I like the villain in this one. It’s okay to fall asleep to too.” He added.
Peter sat on the couch as Wade got the movie started. When Wade came over to the couch he lied his head on Petes lap.
For a second Peter froze at the casual way Wade settled himself onto him. But he relaxed, even put his hand over Wades side. He loved this, he felt content here with Wade. He really has started liking his company and how they keep getting themselves into a casual intimacy like this; a little too intense for just friends but relaxed enough to not be more than that.
It was really confusing to Peter, did Wade like him more than friends? Did he like Wade like that too? Maybe Wade was close like this with all his friends, Peter wasn’t sure. But he liked where they were, it was comfortable and inviting.
Peter lost his train of thought when he heard Wade snoring. He chuckled to himself. Somehow this one man changed his mood entirely in just a few minutes. Maybe they could work.

well, sebastian kills max and izzy blames herself for that. so when the whole battle is over, she refuses to talk to anyone. she just takes simon into her room so he can “cheer her up”
