headcanon: adler doesn't necessarily care about the fact that he has scars on his face. he isn't really insecure about it physically or thinks that it makes him ugly. in fact he thinks it adds a kind of roguish charm, if he doesn't think about the story behind how he got the scar.
the story behind it, however? it tears him up on the inside. he doesn't like it because of how he got it. the only reason he doesn't want people to ask about it (or touch it), is because of how it reminds him of how he failed his team
I know no one but me cares about this but since the devs won't give us any info on where the hell Adler is from (only that he's American) I'll decide for them:
Adler was born February 12th, 1937 in Boca Raton, Florida
A/N: Just some impromptu headcanons about Hudson being a “Girl Dad”. (Girl Dad is a term used by the late Kobe Bryant to describe himself and how much he loved being a father to four girls. More about it here)
- Jason Hudson has two kids, they’re both girls, and they are also soooo stereotypically girly throughout their entire lives, like pink dresses, bows, all that cute stuff.
- When his S/O was expecting the first time, he was really hoping for a boy, but was still excited when he found out it was a girl.
- Now you’d think that a gruff, uptight man such as Hudson wouldn’t like to play with them due to wanting to preserve his “masculinity”, but you couldn’t be more wrong! This man gladly takes on the mantle of “Girl Dad”
- He’s a really good father, and when they’re younger, he will always play dress up and put on tiaras, fairy wings, boas just to see his little girls smile. Hudson will let his daughters paint his nails very messily and do his make up.
- Note: He also finds it very important that he observes all rules and traditions during tea parties. Very. Important.
- But after they’re all done, he’ll promptly remove any trace of that. He’s got appearances to keep up, of course. In the Hudson household, Jason uses up the most make up wipes and nail polish remover.
- There’s honestly nothing better than seeing his girls giggle and just be happy, so he lets his S/O and daughters take photographs of him looking utterly ridiculous that they keep for their entire lives.
- It’s cute, but by God don’t you dare ever let Woods get ahold of those pictures.
- When his daughters are older and assuming he survived Panama, Hudson can be pretty protective over his girls, but not necessarily overbearing. He lets them dress how they want and express themselves however.
- The youngest went through a boyband phase, and although he found it nauseating, he bit his tongue and took her to a few Backstreet Boys concerts in ‘96.
- One time, his eldest daughter was ditched at her senior prom by her date. Hudson was fuming at this, especially when she comes home, her make up all ruined and just looking like a disaster.
- But he reined it in and saved the energy for beating the boy up later. He hugged her, wiped her tears, took her and another friend of hers bowling while she was still all dressed up and did everything within his power to make her smile that night.
- He did this because he leads by example, Hudson is of the firm belief that the way he acts towards his daughters reflects the kind of treatment they’ll expect in relationships. So he treats them and his S/O like royalty.
- Nothing will ever be good enough for his babies, but at the very least he can make sure his daughters won’t accept a man that treats them like garbage.
Bonus:
- Since it’s implied David stays with them pretty often, he’s never bore witness to any of that stuff personally, but the stories from the girls tend to stick with him throughout his entire life. It was from both Hudson and Woods that he learned how to treat women right.
- David has also seen the pictures too. Woods thinks he’s crazy whenever David tells him about them. (”That piece of shit would never!”)

💍— What are their thoughts on marriage?
Since his previous marriage failed, Adler has been a little bit averse to the idea of not only marriage, but falling in love in general. I think that given time and the right person, he would do it again though. Although he understands why some couples don't want to get married, it's a major milestone for him in a relationship and he wants a chance to do it right this time and make it last.
🍼— What are their thoughts on kids?
Similar to his ideas on marriage, he's rather averse to it at first. But, Adler could see himself wanting them...eventually. He didn't have the best childhood so he'd want to make sure the conditions are absolutely perfect, so getting to a point where he'd feel prepared and purposefully try to have one is a long ways away. If he had kids, chances are it'd be entirely accidental.
🧸— What are they like as a parent?
Adler is desperately terrified he'd turn out like his own father and really compensates for that fear with how he acts towards them. He's surprisingly pretty protective of his children and loves them with all his heart, no matter if they were planned or not. That being said, he's not the best at showing his love to his kids when they're older, he just doesn't know how to express it (especially if he had a son). But when his kid(s) are younger, how much he loves them is definitely obvious. Overall, I think he'd be that kind of father where he's strict and firm, but only because he wants to protect them.
🧺— Random domestic headcanon
Adler is that type of dad where he will complain and groan all the time about the new family pet and is all talk when he says he wants to get rid of it, but don't be fooled. That animal will inevitably attach itself to him and he will just fall in love, despite how much he denies that claim.
You know, in a certain series that I have been writing, a shall we say, unplanned pregnancy happens (Adler knocks up Bell). So keep a look out for some Dadler soon!
💘— What was one of the first things that attracted them to their partner?
I can envision Adler being attracted to someone on the quieter side. He doesn't mind shyness, he thinks it's rather cute and stands in stark contrast to his blunt, people-oriented nature. But he also likes someone who lets their actions speak for them and is strong in their convictions.
💞— Are they a big cuddler? What is cuddling them like?
He's not big on cuddling, not until he's in a long-term, serious relationship and he knows without a shadow of a doubt that you are into it. That being said, when he is, he's always the big spoon. Adler prefers playing a sort of protector-role. After so long of working with the CIA, he's become a bit paranoid ad he feels like he can best protect you in that position should it come to that. His arms just feel so strong and safe and it's super easy to drift off while he holds you.
💋— What are their kisses like?
Adler, being the touch-starved man that he is, kisses like it's the last time he'll ever see you. The best way I can describe it is like a man eating his last meal, he savors every minute of it, holds you so close you'll feel like you might suffocate and you can just feel the underlying meaning of it through every burning kiss he gives. Bonus because that's also his way of saying "I love you".

🛌— What’s their pillow talk usually like?
He becomes markedly sweeter in the afterglow, giving little compliments while kissing your cheek and wiping away any tears that might've fallen. The post-sex Adler is the most raw and intimate Adler there is, and it's sweet when he gets like that.
🧲— What’s an easy way to turn them on/get them riled up?
He's a sucker for lingerie, especially fishnets, so if a certain someone surprises him with that, there's a 1000000% chance it will end with him rearranging your guts. Another surefire way is to subtly tease him all day and act like a bit of brat, he finds that so sexy.
In short, rough and passionate. He's so full of emotion, and that definitely manifests itself in every kiss he gives. The feeling of his beard is rough and scratchy and he'll grab whatever part of his partner is in reach and have this giant shit-eating grin on his face. He also finds it fucking hot when his partner grabs him by the belt loops on his jeans and forces him closer.

Woods cannot cook anything more complex than scrambled eggs or a grilled cheese, but he's the type to hover over whoever is in the kitchen and try to learn through observation. If it's his partner cooking, Woods will also most definitely come up to them from behind and try to distract them by pressing himself against their back while they're prepping vegetables or kiss their neck while they're washing dishes.
💗— Do they noticeably change once they’re in love? Is it easy to notice or just something their partner would pick up on?
He'll be much happier and smile way more often. When he's in love, the best way to describe him is like being a giddy little kid. In some form or another, Woods has been denied love (romantic and familial) his entire life. Previously, he had dismissed that kind of love as unnecessary and swore to himself that he was content with loneliness, even though in reality he was not. Now that he is beginning to learn that he is deserving of such intimacy, he's considerably happier and less of a hard ass to everyone. He'll even suffer the jokes from Mason saying that he's gone all soft.
Adler’s ex-wife is a lesbian. Despite the era, which was ripe with homophobia, he was pretty accepting of her. In fact, it was him who suggested getting a divorce so she could pursue who she wanted without being tethered to him.
Adler meant it in his wedding vows when he said she would always be his best friend and that he would always love her. That didn’t change upon finding out about her sexuality. They’re still really good friends and he loves her a lot (platonically).
