Then why have I cut so many people open and put golf balls inside them?

Rock and roll's a bitch.
Marc Bolan, 1976
Just so you know, the post you reblogged from me with the truly excellent quotes about a man swearing at a building is from Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir. It's the first book in the truly excellent Locked Tomb series, of which I am super patiently (read: staring into the distance crying) waiting for the fourth and final part.
Oh fantastic—I was already interested in checking this series out after seeing all kinds of amazing fanart for it around these parts!
Russ looked so much like Marc Bolan an assistant engineer at Heider's kept calling them a TRex copy band and it finally almost ended in a fist fight.
Woofer engineer James Lowe in a 2004 email interview with John Potter of the old fossilsparks Geocities website. Although to be honest, Russ looked EXTREMELY Bolanesque and is still probably closest to what Marc would look like today. Don’t shoot me!
And I was wearing tennis shorts, not hot-pants (when performing Get in the Swing on TOTP), as one Radio 1 DJ announced the following morning.
Russell Mael. Yeah, you keep telling yourself that!
We were once invited to perform a special year-end concert at Disneyland, this song (All You Ever Think About is Sex) had been a big radio hit in Los Angeles. However, the Disney officials requested that in keeping with the squeaky clean image of the park, and since apparently none of the Disney characters ever had sex, we not perform this song. Our fans were not happy.

“Our species is haunted by madness. One in every one hundred of us will fall prey to it at some time in our lives, and of those, one in ten will be driven by misery or confusion to take their own lives. Not only the afflicted suffer, of course. As Aristotle famously noted, we are social animals, profoundly linked with each other, and derangements of the psyche … strain the social web, burdening family, friends, communities, and economies. Directly or indirectly, madness touches us all.”
Leonard George.
The aim of philosophy, abstractly formulated, is to understand how things in the broadest possible sense of the term hang together in the broadest possible sense of the term.
