its cool that tumblr's version of quote tweeting is via the use of hashtags. imagining how much funnier those 60 tweet threads about how problematic it is for someone to cook chili for their neighbour would be if they were done #in a format where #you had to put a hashtag #every few words
+ this is not a pack, it’s one template psd, based on the quoted tweets on twitter, with several settings.
+ you can choose to use the quoted tweet with images--there will be options to use one image, two images, three images, or four images.
+ you have the option to make the quoted tweet a video or a gif. just use one image, and un-hide the folder for either the video or gif option. you don’t have to make a gif for it either, just leave it as an image.
+ if not, you can just use the regular tweet to quote.
+ you also have the option to use a “follow” button if you’re not following the user, a “following” button if you are, or don’t use either if you want it to be you quoting the tweet.
+ there are links that you change the color of--the follow/following button and the “tweet to reply” background border. change the color of those if you want it to be more realistic.
+ you can add more user icons (the retweets & likes) or delete some.
+ adjust as much as you want to suit your liking.

i’ll explain how to do certain things and edit the template under the cut, if you need help.
First off, if you’re wondering how to put images into the templates, I explained how to do it here: X. It’s the same process for every template, btw.
Now if you’re wondering how to edit the quoted tweet options, open the template psd, and go to these folders.
If you just want the regular tweet to quote, un-hide the first folder and hide the second folder. It should look like this:
If you wanted to quote an image, make sure the first folder is hidden and the second folder is un-hidden.
Then open the second folder. It’ll look like this once you open it:
Ignore the layers I marked blue. Focus on the folder called “quote image(s)”. Open that and it’ll give you other folders to choose from.
If you want to use 1 image to quote, un-hide the folder called “1 image”. Open it and you can place your image inside the template and you’re done with that.
If you want to use 2 images to quote, un-hide the folder called “2 images”. Open it and you can place your two images inside the templates and you’re done with that.
If you want to use 3 images to quote, un-hide the folder called “3 images”. Open it and you can place your three images inside the templates and you’re done.
If you want to use 4 images to quote,un-hide the folder called “4 images”. Open it and you can place your four images inside the templates and you’re done.
As an example, I chose to do 2 images to quote. Here’s how it’ll look in the layers:
Here’s how it’ll look on the template:
Now if you want the tweet you’re quoting to be a video, go to the folder called “if it's a video, add this:”. Un-hide the folder, open it, change the time of the video, and you’re done.
As an example, if I did all those steps and changed the time from “0:00″ to “1:12″, it’ll look something like this:
Now if you wanted the tweet you’re quoting to be a gif, go to the folder called “if it's a gif. add this:”. Un-hide the folder and that’s all. Don’t change anything inside.
It’ll look like this:
And there you go.
Any other additional changes would be to
1. choose either follow/following button or none at all.
Go to this folder:
Open it, and un-hide the layer “follow” if you aren’t following the user who’s quoting the tweet. It’ll look like this:
If you are following the user who’s quoting the tweet, hide the layer “follow” and un-hide the layers “following” and “following bg”. It’ll look like this:
If you are the user who’s quoting the tweet, hide all of the layers in that folder. It’ll look like this:
See? No button at all.
2. change the color of the links.
There are two things to change the color of, as they are links. The first is, if you have it, the follow/following button.
If you have the follow/following button on, go to the folder and open it. For the follow button, double-click the follow button layer, and apply a color overlay. Since the links are all the same color, I’d choose the color you want and add it to swatches so you can apply it to the other link.
It’ll be colored, like this:
Click OK when you’re done.
If you are using the following button, go to the “following button” layer, and apply a color overlay, add the color to your swatches (as shown above). Leave the “following” text layer white. It’ll look like this:
For the other link, go to the “reply” folder and open it. Make sure your swatches tab is open (window>swatches). Double-click the “reply bg” layer, go to the “stroke” tab, and change the color to the one from before from the swatches.
Now the links are colored and are the same color.
That’s all I can think of for now, if you have any other questions or need further help, just ask! :)
