Banner was made by the talented Heather @dandelion-sunset.
Hello and welcome to my countdown! The purpose of this countdown is to share my love of Everlark fanfiction and to hopefully introduce you to new authors and stories. The countdown will be posted daily. The authors are listed in no particular order. I am also creating a list on my blog in case you miss a day. You can follow my countdown by tracking the tags: #mjcountdown and #mjcountdownffauthors. You can also find the list on my blog here: http://jhutchmyanchor.tumblr.com/countdowntomj. HAPPY READING!
Canon/AU: Dark AU (Katniss isn’t reaped)
Warning/Trigger: Graphic depictions of violence
Summary: There’s a legend in District 12, passed down through the years, that tells of a lost soul, a miner who turned left when his brethren turned right. They call him the Blind Man. No longer alive, but unable to die.
Why I chose this fic: This story is a unique take on only Peeta being reaped and sent to the games. After winning the games, Peeta becomes dark and a recluse. An encounter with Katniss in the woods changes his life forever.

Warning/Trigger: story about cancer
Summary: After learning his life is in limbo, Katniss Everdeen decides she'll do anything to help her best friend, Peeta Mellark, achieve all he's ever wanted.
Why I chose this fic: It is a moving story on how a strong friendship can overcome a cruel illness. I love this story. It made me smile, laugh and cry.

Author 3: Stella Luna Sky
Warning/Trigger: None provided by author
Summary: "...As I watch the strong lines of his arms and the way they steadily hold that brush to create beautiful things, my stomach churns with acidic butterflies, and I think, real or not real?" Katniss embraces being the girl on fire at last. Pre-epilogue.
Why I chose this fic: This story is a great explanation of how Peeta and Katniss healed and found each other again.
